Call Manager 4.1 web display problem
Hi, does anyone know how to troubleshooting this kind problem?
Call Manager 4.1 web interface does not display results for the Global Directory or Phone listing to add, delete or modify an acct. The screen does not response any key entry, but it displays well for other menu.
Manay thanks!
Steve
Hi, try to restart the IIS Admin Service and World Wide Web Publishing Service from windows tool. Or you can select a partition for example and check its dependency records to find the ip phones and try to access to the phone configuration.
Hope this help

Issue with User web page into Call Manager
Hello
I have an issue where all my users can log into their User page on UCM but when they make a change to speed dial or anything else, the change does not reflect on the phone in UCM. Doing a reset from their web page doesn't reset the phone. This is UCM 7.1.5 and the standard ccm end user group is enable for all end users.
thanksHi Bill -
Have you verified your User Management Roles and effective permissions? Go to User Management - Roles - select Standard CCMUSER Administration and for the permissions you want, ensure both Read and Update are selected.

You can also check an individual's effective permissions by using these procedures:
Viewing a User's Roles, User Groups, and Permissions
This section describes how to view the roles, user groups, and permissions that are assigned to a user that belongs to a specified user group. Use the next procedure to view the roles, user groups, and permissions that are assigned to a user in a user group.
Note: You can also view user roles by using User Management > Application User (for application users) or User Management >End User (for end users) to view a particular user and then display the user roles.
Choose User Management > User Group.
The Find and List User Groups window displays.
Find the user group that has the users for which you want to display assigned roles.
Click the name of the user group for which you want to view the roles that are assigned to the users.
The User Group Configuration window displays for the user group that you chose. The Users in Group pane shows the users that belong to the user group.
For a particular user, click the i icon in the Permission column for the user.
The User Privilege window displays. For the user that you chose, this information displays:
User groups to which the user belongs
Roles that are assigned to the user
Resources to which the user has access. For each resource, this information displays:
Application
Resource
Permission (read and/or update)
Now if both items above look OK, you might check your DB replication status. I assume you have a Publisher and one or more Subscribers? User phones registered to Subscriber? You can check replication several ways:
CLI
RTMT
Unified Reporting on CUCM administrator web page - select "Unified CM Database Replication Debug" report. This is the easiest.
The desired Replication State is 2.
Here is some further information:
Check the DB replication status on all the Cisco Unified Communications Manager nodes in the cluster to ensure that all servers are replicating database changes successfully. You can check by using either RTMT or a CLI command.
• To check by using RTMT, access the Database Summary and inspect the replication status.
• To check by using the CLI, enter the command that is shown in the following example: admin: show perf query class "Number of Replicates Created and State of Replication"
==>query class :
- Perf class (Number of Replicates Created and State of Replication) has instances and values:
ReplicateCount -> Number of Replicates Created = 344 ReplicateCount -> Replicate_State = 2
Be aware that the Replicate_State object shows a value of 2 in this case. The following list shows the possible values for Replicate_State:
0—Replication Not Started. Either no subscribers exist, or the Database Layer Monitor service is not running and has not been running since the subscriber was installed.
1—Replicates have been created, but their count is incorrect.
2—Replication is good.
3—Replication is bad in the cluster.
4—Replication setup did not succeed.
I'm thinking it's more your Roles/permissions and not replication, but I included just in case. Hope this helps!

Problem with Call Manager in VM ware
Hi All ,
Please help
I installed VM worksation in my laptop , and trying to install Call Manager inside it , My laptop connected to LAN with 10.26.152.27 with mask 224 , and gateway 10.26.152.1 . i am confuse what Network adapter i will use for VM ,and what TCP/IP range i configured to CUCM while installing to have it access from Web BrowserArawat,
If in understand your question correclty, all you have to do is put them all on the same IP subnet, including the virtual network adapters that VMware will build on your laptop. Based on your Laptop IP 10.26.152.27, and your /27 mask you will probably want to give it an IP address between the range 10.26.152.2 to 10.26.152.30. Your gateway for all the virtual devices will be the same as the laptop, 10.26.152.1. -
Cisco call manager user web page guide
Hi all
Has anyone got a really quick and easy call manager user web page guide? I need one for my users
cheers
CarlThanks but I've tried all that. It happens in Chrome also. I've tried Opera and it works on that. I've read other forums and it looks like a Java script issue that Chrome and now Firefox Mobile cannot seem to resolve. My preference is Firefox and I'm sure as more tablets get out then this will be solved at some point. I just don't know how it is prioritized. I do know that in order for Androids to be viable in the business sector they need to address issues like these with a higher priority.

Web.xml problem in Enterprise Manager 10g
I got an error while deploying to Enterprise Manager 10g
My platform: Windows XP
OC4J 9.0.4
Enterprise Manager 10g
And I even have the web.xml in the correct directory. i.e
cpd.ear
./META-INF/application.xml
./cpd-ejb.jar/WEB-INF/web.xml
./cpd-webapp.war/WEB-INF/web.xml
./cpd-webapp.war/WEB-INF/classes
The error I get while deploying on a Enterprise Manager 10g is:
Invalid J2EE application file specified - Jar file: :\WINNT\TEMP\jar47575.tmp is missing its standard xml descriptor located at WEB-INF/web.xml
Incidently the *.ear file built by my fellow's machine is deploying perfectly. I've compared the directories n useful files of both the *.ears down to the very last bit n they are the same.
I can imagine that guys with only high IQ can solve this mysteryThe above message is a duplicate of another message by Sim.

I called Apple about the 20" iMac display problem today...
I have the same display problem that I've been reading about here, it's much much brighter on the bottom of my screen than on the top and viewing the screen from an angle makes the screen look very dusty and dirty.
First I talked to technical support and because I live 75 miles from an Apple store, he said a technician would come and look at it tomorrow even though I said it was a problem that is very common and just not on my computer. It will be interesting to see what the technician says.
Then I called customer relations to put in a formal complaint against the 20" iMac screens. I told the man that even on the Apple support forums here that everyone was complaining about it. He said everyone where he worked was using 20" iMacs and as he looked at the screens next to him, he noticed that the colors were all off, looking dirty brown like mine. He said that's just how the new 20" screens were. I tried my best to tell him that it just wasn't right that the screens were so flawed and, although he kind enough and understanding, he didn't see any big problem with them.
He did submit my formal complaint at the end but I have to tell you all, it sure looks like Apple does not see any problem with these screens. He suggested that I write to Apple at their corporate office to let them know of these problems. Here is that address:
Apple
1 Infinite Loop
Cupertino, CA 95014
So that's my next step, writing to the corporate office.
I'll update this post after the technician comes tomorrow. I really don't expect this to be fixed but I shall let everyone know.
MarthaI have been watching this forum for months and have come to a conclusion that Apple
has taken the "easy road" by using cheaper components as evidenced by these discussions pertaining to cheap lcd computer screens. Also, with the Imac there is limited upgrade paths and the fact now
the imac has become more of a glorified computer with the internals of a laptop which suggests it is almost mandatory to pay extra for apple care for 3 year warranty because of uncertainty for longevity in my opinion. I am still using an apple 2002 quicksilver G-4 computer almost 6 years old that has not given me and problem. I have also been able to upgrade the hard drive, dvd rom drive myself-you cannot readily do with the current imacs. I was thinking about replacing my G-4 with an Imac, but have now come to the conclusion that Apple is losing focus with providing quality products and unless something drastic happens which I doubt, Apple will lose me as a future customer. I may be forced to go to the other side and buy a PC. -
Call Manager register fxs port with voice gateway- problem
I have a CUCM 6 and a Voice Gateway V224. I've configured the voice gateway's voice FXS ports as MGCP.
I have a Voip connected and registered to the CUCM and a Pots phone connected to the Voice Gateway.
If i dial from the Voip to the Pots phone it rings. The problem is that i cannot ring from the Pots to the Voip phone.
I have no dial tone.
If i write no shut down on the voice port i have a tone. If i configure mgcp on the voice port i have a busy ringtone.
I've entered no mgcp and mgcp commands and i've reset the voice gateway.
How can i call from the pots to the voip phone?
The ios version on the voice gateway is Version 12.4(22)T4.

I think the best thing to do is to run a trace...
Call Manager > Cisco Unified Serviceability > Trace > Configurations
Select a CUCM server - any subscriber would work.
Service Group - CM Services
Cisco CallManager (Inactive)
Enable SIP Stack Trace and apply to all nodes. Download and install RTMT
Make a bunch of outbound tests and then open RTMT > Trace & Log Central > Collect Files > Check "All Servers" for Cisco CallManager > Next > Next > Relative Range if you made the test calls within the last X minutes, otherwise you can set a From and To datetime. Click Finish and go through your SDL logs and see what errors you find and post them here.

Call manager 4.1 authentification problem to the CCMADMIN page
Hi all,
I have restored the database of our call manager 4.1 SR5b(publisher) into a new server(publisher) with the same CCM version and service release
The objective is to replace the first server because it is faulty with the second one. After the installation of the CCM software I was able to connect myself into the CCMADMIN page with the admin username and password; but I made a restoration of the DB with the BARS application and since then I am no more able to log on to the CCMADMIN page with the admin credentials nor with any MLA credential. I have disable the MLA parameter into into the SQL DB, even with this, I am still unable to connect to CCMADMIN PAGE with the admin credentials.
Please could someone help me ?
RegardsRob, not all phones have been upgraded yet. I only upgraded several phones via "reset" for testing purposes and those phones upgraded successfully. Here are some info on the load versions. Thank you!

When the installation is done according to the documentation,
web access does not work because the scripts that add entries to
the jserv.properties file add duplicate references to
wrapper.env and wrapper.classpath. Look at the jserv.properties
file below and look at the remarked-out (#) lines of the
duplicate references. For example, look at the references to the
wrapper.env=LD_LIBRARY_PATH
Oracle, please note this bug so the web access problems are
minimized when the product is intstalled.
Thank you,

Call agreement processing in WEB UI from ABAP WebDynpro
Dear all,
I have two problems:
1) I create agreement (BUS200071, object type ZGAG) in web dynpro application. After successfull creation I want to call agreement processing within web dynpro application or via new browser window.
2) I managed to call Display method of BUS200071, but it didn't work good. Only the first screen of WEB UI was displayed with error message "Without access for action Display object type agreement GAG", however I tried to display agreement type ZGAG, which was created by my web dynpro application.
Could You please help me, how to accomplish this task.
Thank You in advance
MartinHello GopalY,
In my experience its not possible to call OLE object in Webui. Maybe customer 3 party application will be supply some web service to handle credit card payments. I think this is the simple way to access 3party application.

EP 6.0 iView call of NW04s BI web applications/runtime
We have an existing SAP EP 6.0 portal in which we have BW iViews calling BW 3.x web applications. We are upgrading the BW 3.x system to Netweaver 2004s. Since we will still retain (for the time being) the EP 6.0 portal as our primary access point to all of our SAP systems, we have created a second portal/java environment (of the NW04s variety) to satisfy our NW04s BI needs.
Can we somehow "adjust" the existing iViews in our EP 6.0 environment to directly call (without iViews in the NW04s environment) converted versions of these web applications in the new NW04s java/portal runtime? Has anyone successfully done this?
I recall reading something in a posting a while back that (sorry - unable to find it now) that implied this may be possible through the change of a "BW/BI version" parameter on the iView. We don't see any such parameter on our current BW EP 6.0 iViews. If in fact this is part of the solution, can this and/or other parameters be added/imported somehow in EP 6.0, or is this something only available for iViews in NW04s?
Regards,
RodHello Rod!
We have a technical problem to integrate BEx Web Application of NW2004s in a SAP EP 6.0. The general problem is that the Portal has difficulties to display a Portal iView in an iView.
These days, we are testing a solution that will be shipped with EP 6.0 SP17. A fix for SP14, 15 and 16 is under discussion.
As soon as I have more details, I will provide you the documentation. The idea is more or less the same as we are doing currently with integrating BEx Web App of SAP BW 3.5: use a System Alias and the rest of the BI URL. Please be aware that the URL syntax is different between SAP BW 3.5 and NW2004s due the new runtime.
Yours,
Tobias -
Another dual display problem - GeForce FX 5200
I've seen lots of questions about dual display problem, situation when trying to connect two non-apple vga displays to your graphic card.
I have GeForce FX 5200 graphic card, with 2 display output's. And two DELL 17" vga LCD displays.
I manage to connect 1 display regulary with dvi to vga converter, but for other display I tried several difrent converters ADC to DVI to VGA, and it just did NOT work.
G5 could see other display in display settings, in arrange option I coud see two identical displays, but I don't get anu picture (desktop) on other display???
Is it problem with output's on my graphic card (Gforce FX 5200), could it be soloved with some ADC to VGA converter?
P.S. Dr. Bott ADC VGA Extractor is not compatible with GeForce FX 5200????

This won't work if the ADC to DVI adapter is not passing through the analog signals needed for VGA.

Yes.

It should work. On Dr. Botts web-site it says:
"VGA Extractor is compatible with any video card with an ADC port in a PowerMac G5" -
Questions about TANDBERG MXP 550 with Call manager 4.2
Hello,
I have an TANDBERG MXP550 configured as an H.323 client in call manager 4.2 without a gatekeeper.
1. When I make a call between the TANDBERG and another phone registered. I have the ip address of the call manager displayed on the screen instead of the extension number. Is it possible to display the extension number without a gatekeeper ?
2. The other question is about the streaming. Can I get and read the multicast stream on a PC with a software client ? I tried with VLC (VideoLan Client), with the multicast address I don't get the stream. When I activate the Session Announcement Protocol (SAP) I can receive the stream, but the video is bad (probably a codec problem). Did somebody find a software client which reads the multicast stream?
Thanks,Call manager provides the called party with the extension or directory number of the calling party on a display. You can use the Calling Line ID Presentation field in the Gateway Configuration window to control whether the CLID displays for all outgoing calls on the gateway.Refer URL

I am having a display problem that looks exactly like the video link below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFzfdq3xMrI
What could be the cause of the problem?
Some possibilities:
If the display cable, how can this be replaced without taking the whole thing apart - is there a simpler way?
If a video card heatsink problem, is this an easy fix?
Many Thanks. This appears to be a continuation of an issue you noted in September, as the
display had some problems then and after trying a few things, it seemed to be
stable at the time.
Perhaps the components involved with the iBook then are behind this problem.
Does not seem any easy path could be available to fix the problem, since the
parts most likely to be affecting or contributing to the symptom are deep enough
into the computer to require tedious disassembly effort. And odd screw locations.
Looking into the iFixit guide for iBook G4 12" 800MHz to 1.2GHz series build:
https://www.ifixit.com/Device/iBook_G4_12%22_800_MHz-1.2_GHz these
items may be weak or failing: the inverter, inverter/airport cables, and there
may be an indirect issue with the data display cable as they get bent & can
fail. The rolling & flickering image may be the inverter, but there are a few
components that essentially are not replaceable on the logic board that can
be the cause of display failure when these other items have not failed.
And a failing graphic processor or overheating may be contributory causes to
the symptoms. A complete diagnostic test, probably beyond most AASPs interest
may be required to troubleshoot the device accurately. So many don't want to fix
the older hardware, perhaps they're fearful of someone not willing to pay a lot to
have an older machine repaired. Hard to say...
You may need to enlist the aid of a specialist who restores and refurbishes
Apple portable computers and who has sufficient facilities to repair almost
everything in most any of these computer models... wegenermedia.com.
Since they have devised methods to fix these correctly & more efficiently
that may be a way to go. To call them &/or email after looking at their web
site can be helpful to discuss the matter and their processes of repair, etc.
Sorry to not be of much help, but in the process of locating correct service
and repair, you may also consider obtaining a second iBook or something
that can run the software of that vintage, to extend the usefulness of it.
Good luck & happy computing! -
I like to print the help screens and also print the screen displays while in Call Manager. The network engineer did not recommend this. We tried it anyway - we added a driver and defined a printer but sometimes it would cause the IExplorer to spike the CPU up to 100 percent. Any suggestions on how to print?
Not sure why you need to be on the server it self to do screen captures. Everything is doen through the Web interface.
From your desktop, load a program that captures screen shots. I use "screenhunter" I can press F6, crop the picture and save it and one click to a designated folder. I have created a couple docs for my clients this way, not having to be on the server at all.
Remember, the console at the server for CCM, you should hardly ever have to log into for day to day administration. Everything is done through IE at your own computer.
Loading other software, print drivers, etc onto CCM is probably not supported by TAC anyways.
