Call Manager phone directory

Hello,
I want to extract the phone directory from the call manager for one of the execs. I would like to find out what is the name of MSSQL database and the table where this information is stored.
Or, if there is a built in tool provided by Cisco that can be used to extract the info will work as well.
Thanks,
Shariq

You would find quiet a number of useful links on the Phone directory. Might help

  • Call Manager Phone Services to Personal Address Book

    Cisco Forum:
I'm trying to configure Call Manager (8.6.2.x) for Phone Services so that we can use the IP Phone's Service button to access the Personal Address Book & Fast Dials.  While I have the option (Test PAB-Fast Dial) appearing when the Services button is selected, the process ends with the bottom screen shot showing "Error in Authentication."
By using the Directories button then selecting the Personal Address Book, I can successfully log into the application.
What am I missing?  Below is the current URL being used.
    Thank you.

    Nelson:
The URL that is working for us is:
    http://10.2.5.234:8080/ccmpd/pdCheckLogin.do?name=#DEVICENAME#&service=pab
then use your own IP address for the Call Manager node.
Our Call Manager configuration is shown below.
To access the feature, we hit the Services Button, are prompted with a Personal Address Book option, select it, then are promoted for a UserID/PIN (shown further below), at which point I enter my LDAP ID and a PIN.  The PIN is created in Call Manager under User Management ==> End User ==> PIN.
    Good luck with your process.

  • Cisco Call Manager Question

    Hi,
I have a quick question on the Cisco Call Manger.  Is it possible to have a Cisco call manager store a list of contacts, and then transfer all the list to any phone that registers to it?  Furthermore, if this is possible, will the contacts be stored in the phones volatile or nonvolatile memory?
    Thanks!
    Billy

in call manager the directory list can be search by ip phones
the rource is from the end users page/settings
these details are either entered manually by system admin
or can be automatic when you integrate with LDAP like Microsoft AD

  • Corporate LDAP vs. Call Manager LDAP

    Hello
I've been trying to get to a conclusion about this.
My company uses the Call Manager LDAP directory, but now we will upgrade the Call Managers (from 3.3 to version 4.1).
What benefits do we have if we use the Call Manager with the corporate directory (Active Directory) instead of the built-in?

Take a look at the following post.

  • Bulk adding IP Phones in Call Manager 5.1

Does anyone have experience adding end users in Bulk to Call Manager 5.1? If so can you show me the CSV file format for this? We will be adding over three hundred new IP phones to our call manager and we have all the Mac addresses already, we just need to create all of the phones and directory numbers in Call Manager.
    Any guidance would be great.
    Thank you.

  • Call manager and type of Voip phones

Just wanted to thank everyone for the help.
My background is Telepresence and minimal on Call Manager 8.
Just wanted to ask if I can somehow pull a list of all type of phones connected to the call manager - we currently have 7942 and 7975. I need the list which phone number is using which type of phone.

    Hi Mark,
    Here are 3 suggestions:
    1) Goto Device > Phone, add the 'Directory Number' and 'Device Type' as search criteria and click 'Find'. This is limited as it can't be exported.
    2) Run the following SQL Query:
SELECT d.name, n.dnorpattern, dn.numplanindex, m.name as Model FROM numplan AS n JOIN devicenumplanmap AS dn ON n.pkid=dn.fknumplan JOIN device AS d ON d.pkid=dn.fkdevice JOIN typemodel AS m ON d.tkmodel=m.enum JOIN typeclass AS c ON d.tkclass=c.enum WHERE c.name="Phone" ORDER BY m.name, d.name, dn.numplanindex
    3) Use a 3rd Party product to extract and export the required data such as PhoneView from UnifiedFX
PhoneView is the most advanced endpoint management product available including the ability to gather extensive device/user information and then interact and export that data.

I have tried all the options of resetting it but to no avail.
could someone give me some techie tips on this ? could it be a hardware issue ?? please assist.

Go to the phone and check if the TFTP server is correct (should be the CME IP address). Also check the DHCP address.

  • Call Manager, Tandberg Video Phone bandwidth

We have recently rolled out a Tnadberg Video Phone.
Is the Tandberg phone considered an endpoint in call manager?
Can you adjust what bandwidth the phone uses from within call manager?

Locations in Cisco Unified CallManager Administration specify how much audio and video bandwidth is allowed for all calls in a specific location.

  • Call Manager 9.1 Active Directory Question(s)

    Hello All!
Firstly let me establish that I am not an administrator of our VoIP system however I do manage the Server side of our network.  We are in the process of planning an Active Directory upgrade and I'm having some difficulty getting a question answered about the requirements for  Call Manager.  We are at version 9.1 of Call Manager currently with our Active Directory version at 2003 R2.  We are planning to upgrade to Active Directory version 2008 R2 (functional level) however we would like to use Server 2012 R2 as the OS for our AD servers.  From a Microsoft standpoint this is a valid solution, it's built into Active Directory that you can run at different "functional levels" of AD on higher server operating systems.  Any Call Manager applications that require a Windows operating system would run on whatever works for that (2003 or 2008 etc).  Can we use Server 2012 R2 as the Domain Controller operating system while running at 2008 R2 functional level for Active Directory and still retain our Cisco support?

    Hi Allen,
This is from Cisco site (you already may have seen this), though it talk about the directory services but it is specifically mentioned 2008. 2012 may work and specially as you are saying with functional level set to 2008 shouldn't have any issues. But Cisco have not tested that and you may get into support issues (if any).
Its completely tested and supported with CUCM 10.X
    Version 9:

    Configure LDAP directory
If you want to do so, you can add users from your corporate directory to the Cisco Unified Communications Manager database by synchronizing the user data to the database. Cisco Unified Communications Manager allows synchronization from the following directories to the database:
    Microsoft Active Directory 2000
    Microsoft Active Directory 2003
    Microsoft Active Directory 2008
Microsoft Active Directory Application Mode 2003
    Microsoft Lightweight Directory Services 2008
    iPlanet Directory Server 5.1
    Sun ONE Directory Server 5.2
    Sun ONE Directory Server 6.x

  • Active Directory integration with call manager

    Hi,
I am facing issues while Integrating the CCM to my Active Directory using AD Plug-in.
    SITE SETUP:
    1. Windows 2003 Parent Domain Controller located remotely with GC.
    2. Windows 2003 Child Domain for the Parent DC located Locally with GC.
    3. Cisco CallManager 4.1.3 sr3b
My Requirement is to integrate CCM with my Windows 2003 AD.
    My Questions are:
    1. Do I need to Provide the Parent Domain name or the Child Domain name while performing the AD Plug-in Setup?
    2. Does my Call Manager need to have the Forest access of the Active Directory (i.e., Does it perform some modifications in the Parent Domain)?
    3. Does the user account (which is used for Directory Integration) need to have direct members of Schema Admins or thru some other domain admin groups (i.e., Admin user -> Child Domain Admins Groups -> Parent Domain and Schema Admin Groups)?
Can anyone can help me on this?
    Thanks,
    V.Kumar

    1. Do I need to Provide the Parent Domain name or the Child Domain name while performing the AD Plug-in Setup?
Use the root domain, in this case the Parent domain.
Cisco does not recommend having a Cisco Unified CallManager cluster service users in different domains because response times while user data is being retrieved might be less than optimal if domain controllers for all included domains are not local.
    2. Does my Call Manager need to have the Forest access of the Active Directory (i.e., Does it perform some modifications in the Parent Domain)?
Yes, actually all domains in the forest share the same Schema, which will be modified after running the AD plugin.
    3. Does the user account (which is used for Directory Integration) need to have direct members of Schema Admins or thru some other domain admin groups (i.e., Admin user -> Child Domain Admins Groups -> Parent Domain and Schema Admin Groups)?
Account should be a member of the Schema Admins group in Active Directory, try the one in parent domain.

  • Cisco Call Manager intergration with Active Directory

We have Cisco Voip which is currently not intergrated with AD. The data (users) in Call Manager have not been updated, (ie if someone left the organisation the ICT department were never told and the new starter took over) I have been asked to intergrate this with active directory and then look in ad and resolve any discrepancies. Has anyone ever completed something similar. Any advise or imput would be gratefully appreicated. Thank You

Just make sure all the users you want to keep in CUCM are in AD and use the exact same userID or whatever field you'll use for the integration. Those users will just be updated with the AD info and any dependencies they have in CUCM will be there.
Users that do not have a matching ID in AD will be deleted.

  • Cisco call manager and ip phone software.

    Hi everybody.
Does Cisco call manager also include software required for ip phone? Or software for ip phone needs to be installed on tftp server and it does not come with cisco call manager.?
thanks and have a great weekend.

    Hi Sarah,
by ip phone software, do you mean Cisco IP Phone Agent software?
if  yes, then you need to have Customer Response Solution (CRS) and Call Manager together to setup ip phone software (services).
check this link for further info:

  • Phones getting unregistered frequently from call Manager

    Hi
We have Call manager in our HQ and some phones in Branch in a different country. From CUCM there is a SIP trunk towards router in branch.
Users in branch occassionally complain of phones getting unregistered.HQ and branch are connected through internet with suffiecient BQ 14 Mbps on each side.
    Thanks for helping me out.
    Regards
    Vibha

    Hi Vibha,
You can check the Phone status messages to start with and also check the app / syslogs on the cucm corresponding to the time stamp when they are unregistered to see the reason code for the unregistered event. However, a packet capture would be ideal to check what exactly is causing the issue as we can see which packets are exchanged or getting dropped between cucm and IP phone.

  • Call manager and Cisco IP phones

I would like to know if it's possible to use Cisco IP phones in small environments, without having Call manager, or it's mandatory to have always CallManager if one wants to use the IP phones.
    Thank you

You can use Call Manager Express, which runs on cisco 1751/60, 2600 and above routers. it can support up to 120 users. Cisco Unity Express will provide voice mail. this is a network module in 2600 and above routers. for more info, see www.cisco.com/go/ccme
