Call Merge

I can add a contact to an existing call however, when I have both calls on the line I am unable to merge the calls on my iPhone 5.  Is there a setting that prevents this from happening?

Try contacting your carrier to make sure the cellular account is setup correctly.

  • Call merging (conference calling) not working on iOS 8.1 & iPhone 6 (VZW)

    Hello Everyone. I've discovered a problem with call merging on my new Verizon iPhone 6 (iOS 8.1). When I add a caller and then hit the merge call button after the second caller answers, the screen says that the calls are now merged. However, the original caller is still on hold and cannot join the call. This problem seems to exist regardless of whether any of the callers in question have CallerID blocking or not. Also, when placing a call on hold to answer an incoming call, I have access to switch calls button, but not the merge calls button.
    Has anyone else experienced this glitch? Is there a solution or work-around?
    Thanks,
    Jamie

    I have the same problem with T-Mobile, but this must be an Apple thing!  Why do they feel the need to fix ring tones but screw up more important things like Bluetooth and Call Merging????  Seriously, their rein at the top won't last with this BS!

  • Call merge not working properly in iphone6 iOS 8.1

    I am experiencing a problem with call merging in my iPhone 6 iOS 8.1 (T-Mobile). Sometimes it is hanging when I am tapping on merge option, hanging in the sense both the call remains in hold state and have to disconnect and call back, once it even was not able to disconnect a call after hanging.

  • Problems with 3-way calls, merge calls?

    loving my iPhone but having problems with 3-way calling and merging calls. tried to be on one call and have another person call (from a regular land line) and it went straight to voicemail for them. in addition, was on a regular call and tried to add another call AND tried to merge, none of the above has worked. i know this is included in the calling plan.
    anyone having similar problems?

    Per the Apple note in the link below, "Note: While iPhone is actively transferring data over EDGE—downloading a webpage, for example—you may not be able to receive calls. Incoming calls may go to voicemail."
    Perhaps this is what was happening.

  • Safari browser issue when calling Merged Webhelp

    Hi All,
    I am using Robohelp 8.0. I am creating a merged Webhelp project and calling the help as context sensitive from the web application using the Topic ID.
    What Happens:
    Calling webhelp with parent_csh.htm#<productID> work fine in Firefox, IE browsers.
    When I try to call the topic in Safari browser on Mac OS, it opens the topic section correctly as shown below:
    when I click the Show link on the top of the page to view the TOC, it gives me a page cannot be displayed error as shown in screenshot below:
    NOTE: It still works well in Firefox on the same Mac computer.
    What is not working:
    * Error occurs when the show link is clicked in help page in Safari 5.0 browser.
    * Same error reported even when I include "withnavpane=true" in the parent_csh.htm#<topic id> to show the TOC.
    Questions:
    * Is Robohelp 8.0 is compatible with Safari browsers in Mac?
    * Is there a way to show the TOC of the webhelp in Safari?
    * Why Safari interprets the '#' to %23 and why the link does not work in Safari alone even it works in Firefox on the same machine?
    Let me know your thoughts and awaiting a resolution from sharp heads of Robohelp.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Merge call not working in ios7 on Iphone5 ?

    Same here. We have this call center in our company where after i have added a call to merge i have to push no. 4 and dial from the keypad. This has never been possible in ios but it have been possible to create a contact called "Merge" and add number 4 as it's phone number. Now by merging first my clients call to my collegegue and then to this "Merge" contact it has been dropping me out of line and my client and collegue are merged.
    Now ios 7 wont let me call to this "Merge" contact's number "4"

  • Indesign CS3 Data Merge "Merge Records" Command. Help?

    I'm looking to automate the merging of a mountain of records. I have 587 tab-delimited text files with 40 records each. I want to process these via Data Merge using a single pre-designed template with built-in placeholders and variable data fields, including a variable barcode graphic. In the end, I want to create 704 multi-page, 6-up per page, indesign files with merged data, and 704 multi-page PDFs.
    Here's where I am at. Using a combination of AppleScript, TextWrangler and InDesign CS3, I am able to set up a loop where I can open the single template, save it to a new file with a new name, change its data source to the appropriate text file, and as a test, make a PDF of the template using the correct export preset. What I cannot seem to do is get the template to perform a "Create Merged Document...".
    In InDesign CS3's AppleScript dictionary there is a command called "Merge Records" under the Data Merge section. It appears to do exactly what I am after. But when I try to use it (and the good Lord knows I have tried numerous permutations), it only returns errors like "Adobe InDesign CS3 got an error: active document doesn't understand the merge records message."
    Anyone know what I am doing wrong? I have set up a separate AppleScript for testing purposes that opens up the template, saves it under a new name, and attempts a "merge records" command. Here it is. Maybe someone smart out there can tell me what I am doing wrong.
    set templatePath to "Welch_Jobs:0_JOBS:280019_Churchill:WPC FILES:Workup:280019_6up_master template.indt" as text -- the main template file that will be modified, saved with a new name, then merged with its data to create a new merge file
    set newTemppath to "Welch_Jobs:0_JOBS:280019_Churchill:WPC FILES:Workup:goody.indd" as text
    tell application "Adobe InDesign CS3"
    open file templatePath
    tell active document
    save to newTemppath
    merge records
    end tell
    end tell
    I have this feeling that this is a command that is actually unsupported. Google searches have been fruitless except for one poor soul who can't get it to work either. I have, however, seen that a similar JavaScript command exists called "DataMerge.mergeRecords". If it is impossible to do this via AppleScript, is it possible to make a JavaScript that will do it, and access the JavaScript with a "do script" command in the main AppleScript? If so, how would I accomplish this? What whould the JavaScript look like, and where do i need to put it?
    I would greatly appreciate any help you, dear reader, can give me on this.

    Well, did you look at the dictionary?:
    merge recordsv : Merges records and produces an optional overset report.
      merge records
    data merge
        output overset report file alias or
    text] : The path to the file in which to store the overset report.
    Note also that it's part of the Preferences Suite, not the Datamerge suite. Do you see differently?
    Anyhow, you're clearly not calling it with a data merge parameter.
    I also have a suspicion that it needs to not be inside a "tell active document" but it probably doesn't matter.
    But my AppleScript is rusty.

  • Weird issue with merge using JPA...?

    Hi all,
    I have the following code snippet (HsTrans has a manytoone relation with Hss), Hss is the parent
                HsTrans hsTrans = new HsTrans();
             Hss hss=em.find(Hss.class, studyId);
             hsTrans.setStudy(studyId);
             hsTrans.setState(state.toString());
             hsTrans.setTimestamp(timeOfState);
             hss.getHsTrans().add(hsTrans); //Add child to aprent
             hsTrans.setHss(hss);                //Child Parent
                em.merge(hss);  // Does not work Throws a Unique Key violation error
    Whereas replacing the same with this
             Hss hss2=hsStudyTrans.getHsStudy();
                em.merge(hss2); // Works fine
       Does anyone know if this is a JPA bug or some other issue.
    Thx
    VR

    Does anyone know if this is a JPA bug or some other issue.JPA is a specification, so it has no bugs (only design flaws). If there is a bug somewhere it is in the persistence provider you are using, but most likely it is just you not understanding how merge and transaction management in general works. I've written dozens of applications now that use JPA and I think I really needed merge a grand total of once.
    In this snippet you provide, you are apparently making the 'hss' object managed through the em.find() method. This means that any changes you make to it will be made persistent as soon as the transaction is committed. You don't need to call merge() at all, you only call that on entities that are detached.
    Now for the actual problem of unique key violation, I don't even see you committing hsTrans. Change the code to this:
    HsTrans hsTrans = new HsTrans();
    Hss hss=em.find(Hss.class, studyId);
    hsTrans.setStudy(studyId);
    hsTrans.setState(state.toString());
    hsTrans.setTimestamp(timeOfState);
    hsTrans.setHss(hss); // set managed hss object
    em.persist(hsTrans); // persist hsTrans and make it managed
    hss.getHsTrans().add(hsTrans); // add the new managed hsTrans to the hss mapped collection

  • CS5 Merge To HDR Pro hangs Photoshop (Win 7, 64-bit)

    Hi,
    I've had Photoshop CS5 Extended for about 2 weeks. I'm using the 64 bit version with Windows 7 64 bit. So far it's been working ok but I'm now getting an issue with 'Merge to HDR Pro'. Once I've entered my settings and clicked 'ok' Photoshop stops responding. I have to start the 'Task Manager' and force quit Photoshop.
    Is this a common issue or am I the only one whose getting it? Is there a solution?
    Thanks

    Thanks for your response.
    In answer to your question I'm not entirely sure. My machine doesn't crash. When I go to Automate/Merge to HDR Pro I can browse to my files, choose them and alter the settings in the HDR Pro window until my image looks the way I want it to. But when I click 'OK' the process of generating the HDR file seems to begin then stop. I can see my original images in the layer stack inside Photoshop and an empty layer at the bottom of the stack called 'Merge to HDR Pro'. It doesn't get any further than that. The only thing I can do is go to my Task Manager, where Photoshop will be listed as 'Not Responding'. I use RAW files from my Canon 40D.
    I can't give you very precise details about my system because I had it custom built and I'm not very good with technical stuff. I can tell you that it is a 64 bit machine with a 120Gb solid state primary HD running Windows 7 64bit,  and 2 1Tb secondary drives. It currently has 6Gb RAM. The motherboard is overclocked. My gfx card is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 295.
    Thanks again.

  • Unable to call conference on Android after installing WebEx

    Hi,
    I'm using the WebEx android app on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100). After installing the WebEx app, on the call screen, I see a WebEx button instead of the "Add call" button. I can still add a second call using the "overflow" menu. But after adding a call, the call "Merge" button doesn't appear anywhere. The WebEx sphere now appears in place of the "Merge" button. The overflow menu doesn't contain the Merge option either. Uninstalling the WebEx app fixes this issue.
    I've searched around and found a lot of people asking this question. But with no resolution for their query.
    Please see screenshots below with two calls in progress and no option to Merge. The WebEx logo takes the place of the Merge button.
    At this point, my only option is to remove the WebEx app and install it only when needed.
    Please provide a solution.
    Thanks.
    Warm regards,
    -Adi

    Is anyone on the Cisco Android support team paying any attention to these threads?
    This is a pretty big issue.  I have been a paid WebEx customer for years now and the most recent update took over my add call button -- rendering my phone useless unless I uninstall the app.  I have read a few places where everyone mentions this and says there is optional work arounds, but I would like to know what the deal is and when a solution will be provided.
    The mobile app is pretty important to my day to day, but not nearly as important as add call and merge.  Please explain how we can change this setting or avoid uninstalling the application.
    This only happened with the most recent update.

  • 3 way calling question - NOT SOLVED

    I asked this question:
    I know how to perform a 3 way call, but what if the 2nd person I called doesn't answer and I get voice mail?  I don't want to merge that call.
    How do I hang up on the 2nd call placed without hanging up on the original?
    And recieved this response:
    Three-Way Calling
    Merge two calls to set up a three-way call between you and two other parties.
    Setting up a Multi-Party Call
    1. Establish a call, either by dialing or answering an incoming call.
    2. Touch Add Call. The first call is placed on hold, and the Dialer displays.
    3. Enter the second phone number, then touch.
    If the second person does not answer, press the Sendkey twice to end the connection and go back to the first person.
    4. Touch Merge. The two calls are joined into one, 3-way call.
    However, there is no Send key once you place a call...only END CALL.
    PLEASE TRY AGAIN!!!

    I'm a power user in sales on the road all day and it seems EVERY smart phone i get forgets about this "feature" ... it's a necessity!!! And no tech support person ever knows the answer because they're techy and barely talk on the phone much less conference!
    When i tested it just now (because i've been trying to figure this out for 3 days), instead of pressing Merge Calls, I hit the Back Arrow and was offered 2 options:
    1) Return to Call in Progress (YES!!!!)
    2) Access dial pad (not sure why I'd want to do this)
    Hope this helps!
    Maybe to try a different number (i.e. calling the cell phone instead of the office number you called originally)

  • Merging of lsps

    hi,
    what do you mean by merging of lsps..?
    In what all scenarios do we use this..?
    How do we do this..?
    Thanks in advance,
    Thomas.

    Hello Thomas,
    the term "VC merge" is used in cell based MPLS. There ATM cell headers (VPI/VCI) are used as labels. Basically LVCs are setup through f.e. LDP. The main issue VC merge does address is the comparably low number of VCs supported per interface in ATM routers and switches. Assume 100 routers attached to an ATM network - this could mean roughly 10000 LVCs.
    VC merge means, that an ATM switch has several incoming VCs (VPI/VCI) mapped to one outgoing label (VPI/VCI). Thus on the outgoing interface towards one router R1 only one VC is created and not 99 (a separate one per other router).
    In cell-based MPLS you can configure this through the command "mpls atm vc-merge".
    The detailed description can be found at: "MPLS over ATM: VC Merge"
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk436/tk798/technologies_configuration_example09186a00801c2d73.shtml
    In frame-based MPLS the downstream router distributes a single label per destination network. So all upstream neighbors will use the same label. This could also be called "merging of LSPs". As this is the default, there is no specific configuration required.
    Hope this helps! Please rate all posts.

  • Midi merge per track?

    Hi guys,
    I've recorded kick drum, snare and some hi-hats onto the same instrument track in Logic.
    Manually. That is, first the kick, then the snare and finally the hats.
    Now I have three MIDI regions, one above the other, on the "same" instrument track.
    Imagine my surprise when I inspected the MIDI region on top, and could only see the hihats while kick and snare were sounding, too.
    Of course, I want all three in the same MIDI region for easier editing etc.
    Isn't there an easy way I can accomplish this? I f ound the function called merge midi per track, but it didn't do what I expected
    Anyone shed some light?
    Cheers;
    Eivin:D

    File>Project Settings>Recording
    In "Overlapping Recordings", found under MIDI, select "Merge with selected regions".

  • Merge code concept

    Hi All,
             I need help on Merge code concept in BW.What exactly it does?,Is there any scope of performance tunning while merging two ODS's?.Any document explaining about it will also do.
    Waiting for your quick responces...
    Thanks,
    Rahul.

    Thanks for reply,
                            BW has an new concept called "Merge code".It will merge the data of two source ODS's into one single target ODS.This will have a routine in update rules which does this job. I wanted to know how this merge code works and whats the exact concept behind it and also is there any scope of optimising the merge process if we needed.
    Thanks,
    Rahul.
