Call of Duty MW2 and Processors

Hi,
My boyfriend bought me Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for an early Hannukah gift because I always play it on his computer. It wont work on my Acer computer. There's serious lag. It installed fine and everything but once i go into the game its really laggy. We decided its the processor in my computer. The processor is AMD Athlon processor and its only like 1.6 Ghz. It's a really cheap Acer I got 2 years ago. I decided to get a new computer because this isn't the first issue I've had with this computer.
I'm looking to get one in the $500-600 range and i found a few I like but I want to make sure the processor will be able to run COD MW2.
This is the one I'm leaning towards, but is the Intel i3 Processor going to work or do I need one with an Intel i5?

The problem is not the processor its the video cards and according to GameDebate since both of those laptops you link have a Intel HD 3000 according to the GD neither one would really be able to run that game.

Call of duty 4 and 2 people on the same network = kick and not work

Basically i share internet with my basement friend, he gets it wireless i have it wired and router is next to this computer.
But if he is ingame and i even open cod4 multiplayer, it kicks him and won't let him join and then i have to restart the router
BUt if i joing before him and then he joins, it works perfectly
Would getting a new router fix this issue ?

Whats the Model number of your router. Assuming you have a G router.
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop).In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1
Leave username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
Below the setup tab, change the MTU from Auto to Manuall, and change the Size from 1500 to1365 and click on Save settings.
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
Click on the Wireless tab
- Set wireless channel to 11- And wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on "Save Settings" >>
Click on Advanced Wireless Settings...
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304 Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"
Now see if you can are able to play games on both the computers. If you still face the same problem you can Upgrade the firmware of your router.
Go to website linksysbycisco.com/downloads.........insert model no of your router in serach tab......select proper version of your router........download the firmware file......save that file on desktop.
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on a computer hard wired to the router...

Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful" After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Now reset your router :
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

i install call of duty black ops 2... but it wont start..
can anybody help me why??
i already played call of duty MW2 and MW3 they worked very fine..

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 - NAT Type

Afternoon Everyone,
Over the past few months myself and other friends who are on BT have experienced a few issues when playing Call of Duty MW2 online on the PS3.
Our NAT type periodically changes from open to Strict. I've tried every option I can think of and that I have found on other forums. ie putting the PS3 ip in the DMZ turning interleaving off etc.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Im using a hub 1.5 and have a 8mb line with approx 3-6mb throughput depending on peak/off peak times.
The only way I have found to resolve this is by rebooting both the PS3 and Hub 3-4 times.
Any help would be appreciated

Its for xbox technically but it should work in the same way for all games consoles (as they all get nat issues) and its how to set up the hub settings optimally.

Getting the error "Could not open this file (pbsetup.run) because PowerPC apps are not longer supprted" , I need to install punkbuster for my Call of Duty 4 and iam runnig osx lion v.10.7.2.
How can iopen the punkbuster installion in mac osx lion?

As was previously said, there is no way to run any application that has only PowerPC code under Lion. If Evenbalance has not released an Intel version of Punkbuster, you're out of luck.

You don’t install VS2010 on the client PC, then where did the Form Invoice not work? When you run it from another version of VS? Or when you run the application with application.exe?
Based on your description, one form works well, another form does not. I assume that two forms are in two different projects, then please check the .Net Framework used by the two projects. If they are different, you can use the
one used by the Form contact for Form Invoice.
Because this issue is a project issue, I recommend you to consult it on some application forum such as Windows Forms General forum for better support.

Unable to download game call of duty 4 digital download.

hello bestbuy i ordered call of duty 4 modern warfare game of the year edition digital download last night and still today i cannot get the download to start.the downloader keeps saying unable to save file plaese try to save to a different location,i have tried everything i can think of,if anyone can figure out why the downloader wont let me start the download please help,if not please refund my account in full,so i can purchase elsewere.please post a solution thankyou.

I am Thinking about getting Call of Duty 4 for my Mac Mini. But the system requirements says I need to have a 2.0 ghz processor, but I have a 1.82 ghz processor. Could I still play the game or will that be a big factor?

I'm going to guess videos buffer for a while also...
Two possibilities, one is you should close apps on the iPad, the other is your internet speed is not able to handle the demands of a high speed device.
To close apps: Double click home button, swipe up to close the apps.
To solve internet problem, contact your provider. Basic internet is not enough for video games and movies. Your router may be old and slow.

Can I play Call of Duty Ghosts on my iMac (21,5" late 2013) with Windows 7 and Parallels

I Have an iMac 21,5" 8GB RAM 1024MB 2,9Ghz. I buyed it in Feburary. I want to play Call of Duty Ghosts on my iMac i use Win7 with Parallels. I don't know if it works? I already have Skyrim and Fifa 14 and they work very well. So I want to ask you if i could play CoD Ghosts without any problems.
p.s. I dont really want to use Bootcamp only when ther is no other option.

The simple answer is yes. As long as the computer meets the minimum system requirements.
The long answer is....maybe.
Parallels is a Virtual Machine for Windows, meaning that it runs on the Mac OS X Software. Bootcamp repartitions your HD and utilizes just the Mac's Hardware to run Windows using its own OS system files.
If you have 2 games already that run in Parallels right now with no issues, then I don't see why this new game would not work. However if it does not, you may want to consider a Bootcamp parition in order to keep your Windows and Mac OS X partitions separate in the event of any OS problems.

Spaces and Call of Duty 2?

Hey everyone. I noticed that when I open Call of Duty 2, I can't use spaces. The COD2 application takes up the whole screen and doesn't allow me to use expose, spaces, etc. Is there anyway to make spaces available while I'm using COD2 so that I can easily move out of it if i want? Thanks.

I didn't enable EAX because, for me at least, it always sounds like you're playing the game inside a metal lunchbox. I have both crystalizer and CMSS-3D enable along with the bass boost. I tried disabling each of those one at a time and then all and nothing changed.
I also have FEAR and started it last night to check it out and I didn't notice any problems. I do have some stuttering sound problems with SW Battlefront II. I'm just wondering if it's a hardware/driver bug or something wrong with the games. So far those are the only games I've tried that have had problems.
BTW, I just got the last message from Activision support and after trying a few things they said that that is how the developer intended the sounds to be. I'm not sure about that because a friend with an Audigy 2 card said they sound fine.

WRT54G router and call of duty online gaming

I just bought the WRT54G wireless router and had no problem installing it. I was able to get internet connection on the wired desktop and the wireless laptop. However, when I start playing 'Call of Duty 4' online, within a couple of minutes I start to lose internet connectivity until it completely goes out. At the same time, I will lose connectivity on my laptop as well. In one iteration of fixing this problem, my laptop displayed a message that said something about an 'IP address conflict'.
I called tech support and tried a few different changes in configurations, including changing the MTU to 1400 and creating a static IP address in the 'Accessibility and Gaming' section of the Linksys configurations.
I read several other posts that mention a gaming wireless router (WK300TN or something like that). Do I need that even if I'm gaming on the wired desktop and not on the wireless laptop? Help!

yes WRT310N, WRT330N etc are build for good performance in gaming. Those would definitely improve situation.
