Call park using fxs port on spa9000
I have seen this question asked several times but no seems have answered it.
Is it possible to enter a service code to park a call using an analogue phone. If it is, please share what is the service code and the procedure.
I have a spa9000 with pstn (spa3002, spa400) and exts spa-942,xlite and spa2102/pap2. Everything works fine on the 942 phones and the xlite softphones but cant get more that the *98 transfer feature working on the analog phones.
Not so sure if the service code being utilize by the FXS is the same as what is mentioned in VSA.Then again, the manual says "dial the corresponding * code on the client station" and if you look at an SPA9xx phone, it has the following codes defined for call park and call unpark code.

EFTPOS No Response X0 Using FXS Port
Hi All,
Trying to get an EFTPOS machine working connected into an FXS Port using SCCP/STCAPP Protocol for call control.
The port is registered in CUCM, I can connect an analogue phone to the port and successfully call the Bank's 1800 Number etc, I can make other external calls no problem.
When I try the EFTPOS Machine, the call setup runs through normally and I see the call is then in a connected state. Approx about 10 or seconds later the call is cleared by the local device with an 0x8090 code Normal Clearing. The call is then disconnected and released as per any other call.
The EFTPOS Machine prints a error for "Declined No Response X0"
I have attached the following debugs.

Call Manager register fxs port with voice gateway- problem
I have a CUCM 6 and a Voice Gateway V224. I've configured the voice gateway's voice FXS ports as MGCP.
I have a Voip connected and registered to the CUCM and a Pots phone connected to the Voice Gateway.
If i dial from the Voip to the Pots phone it rings. The problem is that i cannot ring from the Pots to the Voip phone.
I have no dial tone.
If i write no shut down on the voice port i have a tone. If i configure mgcp on the voice port i have a busy ringtone.
I've entered no mgcp and mgcp commands and i've reset the voice gateway.
How can i call from the pots to the voip phone?
The ios version on the voice gateway is Version 12.4(22)T4.

The CUCM 6 is registered with the voice gateway.Is your campaign using CPA? If so, what's the behavior if CPA is not enabled?
I think the best thing to do is to run a trace...

Select a CUCM server - any subscriber would work.

Enable SIP Stack Trace and apply to all nodes. Download and install RTMT
Make a bunch of outbound tests and then open RTMT > Trace & Log Central > Collect Files > Check "All Servers" for Cisco CallManager > Next > Next > Relative Range if you made the test calls within the last X minutes, otherwise you can set a From and To datetime. Click Finish and go through your SDL logs and see what errors you find and post them here.
Also, make sure your phone is in the correct CSS in Call Manager -
Cisco 2432-24FXS Calls won't ring FXS ports when placed in Huntgroup
Hi,
I am having an issue getting calls to ring through on the FXS ports when using the "trunkgroup" command under the POTS dial-peers. Calls will ring through fine if I use the "port" command under the pots dial-peer. What I am trying to accomplish is getting a single number to hunt through 13 FXS ports in a round-robin fashion. With the below setup I am getting a SIP 404 not found message in the SIP debug info. I am not sure if I am missing something here or what the deal is. If the below information is not enough I would be happy to provide additional info. Any idea's why this configuration doesn't seam to work?

Connecting FAX to PSTN line using FXS and FXO ports
I have 2 cisco 1760 routers with FXS and FXO card installed in each. I have to transport 2 PSTN lines from Head Office to remote loaction using FXS and FXO cards and these lines will be used for voice calls and FAX( one line each for FAX and voice). I have configured the router for voice lines and it is working fine. Now I am using the same config for running fax machine but it is not working. Can anyone help me out how to configure FAX in this scenario also if anyone can share any sample config. I am attaching my config for both routers. Right now both routers are connected with a cross-over cable for lab test but we will connect them later using satellite connection.

Restricting FXS ports to internal calls only
Hi,
I have recently intalled Call Manager 8.5.1 with a H323 Gateway. On the gateway, I have a number of FXS ports for lobby phones. Is there a way I can restrict these phones to allow only internal calls only? Do I need to use COR lists like in Call Manager express or is there a more practical way?

It sounds like these FXS ports are NOT registered to CUCM 8.5.1? If they aren't, then yes COR lists is the most pratical way to do this. You could do a "connection plar xxxx" to a receptionist extension and her her/him forward the calls to the correct extension. -

I have Lync 2013 and 2010 , still i didn't finish my migration completely from 2010 to 2013 .this is coexistence environment that contains both Lync Server 2010 and Lync Server 2013 .
There was no error's in my lync 2013 front end and back end server's and every thing was fine, yesterday I installed windows updated AND CU for my lync 2013 front end and backend server's .
later on after restarting both the front end and the back end server's i start having hundred's of these error's related to "LS Call Park Service".
so any advice for these issue ? and what is the effect for these error .

SPA9000 How do you direct SIP to FXS port?
How do you point a SIP account to the #1 FXS port on the SPA9000? I have a separate SIP account for my fax machine and need to point it to the analog FXS port.

If your MCU ports are Callmanger controlled, they will use Skinny (SCCP) to communicate on TCP port 2000. Please see the following link.

I am using Call-manager 6.0.1b, a MGCP controlled Gateway.On the Gateway i have installed a NM-HD-2V with a Vic2-2FXS module. On this module i connect 2 analog phone with capability to display the Caller-ID. When i call the analog port from a ip phone or from the other analog phone the Dn is not shown. When i connect the phone directly to the PSTN and dial this nr via my cell phone the nr is shown so i expect that the nr format received is not correct. How can this performed that the correct format is shown to the FXS port connected phone ?

Yes - you are correct. Looked at this one too quickly.
You will want to make sure the CPTONE defined on the port is for the country the phone is manufactured for, and that the voice-pport has the 'caller-id enable' command.
If those are both correct, and I'm guessing that they are since some caller-id works, then you need to inspect the gateways that take the calls to begin with.
Do you have caller-id trouble for internal calls also?
How do these calls come into your network?

Is there a way to make an analog phone connected to an FXS port a part of a call pickup group that contains both analog phones & IP phones? I setup a lab and used MGCP to add the gateway and I was able to add the DN associated with the FXS port to a call pickup group. However, I am unable to figure out how to answer the call from the analog phone when another IP phone in the call pickup group is ringing.

Shared line appearance for FXS phones on SPA9000

If I'm using shared line appearance, can my FXS (regular cordless phones) pick up lines on hold? Can they put a line on hold? Is it easy?I've never read or seen anything about SLA on the FXS ports.. but I guess you can always just try and see what happens. Configure one FXS port with the same userid as the shared line and see what happens if you put a call on hold. Since hook flash is used to put a call on hold / take it back, I figure if it worked, all it takes would be going off-hook and you'd have the call, and do a hook flash to put it back on hold.

Transfer called number from FSX port SPA8000 to FXO port analog PBX.

I have CUCM 8.6 which connecting with SPA8000 by SIP trunk.
FXS port SPA8000 connect to FXO port analog PBX.
When I call from CUCM to analog PBX through SPA8000, SPA8000 does not pass called number in line.
Anybody have ideas?Here is what I would recomend, I have set this up at several installations and it works well. The only difference would be that the ones that I have setup had more than 64K between sites but that is still doable so long as you keep the traffic on that link well regulated.
Anyhow. At each site install a VIC-2FXO and a VIC-2FXS into your 1760. You can use the higer density modules if you need more paths. Tie the FXOs to analog station ports on your PBX and the FXSs to analog CO ports. This may seem backwards but it is correct. Cisco's FXS is expecting to provide dialtone and the analog CO ports on the PBX are expecting to receive dial tone. Depending on what you are using for call processing ITS/CCME/CCM configure your gateway and your route pattern, etc. You will also need to be able to somehow access those fxs ports for outbound calls. You could have direct line access buttons on your phones and instruct users that when calling the remote site the must use lines 7 and 8 as an example. You could also setup a line pool code for these new lines.
Now when site A wants to call Site B, they dial whatever you wish them to dial. You do whatever translations you may wish prior to sending the call. Here is how the call flow works. User at site A accesses the line either by hitting a line button or dialing the line pool code. This grabs the analog line tied to one of the FXs ports on the router. The call is then sent over the 64K link. The router at Site B then uses one of the FXO ports to pass the call to an analog station port on the other PBX. To the PBX at site B it will appear as though someone pickedu picked up an analog station and dialed a local extension.

I have a problem with my SPA3102's FXS port.
In last April I tested my friend's two PAP2T adapters with four phones. The adapters were connected to same switch with different fix IP addresses and phones were able to ring each other. Then I got one of adapters from him as a gift and on 2nd of January I bought an SPA3102 - so I have two adapters.
I connected my adapters to same switch. Their parameters are:
PAP2T IP: 192.168.0.221
FXS #1:

user ID: 1
FXS #2:
SIP port: 5061
display name: 2
user ID: 2

Well there is problem with third phone (SPA3102 FXS port). Phones with PAP2T work perfectly, they can call each other. The 3rd phone has dialtone sometimes only but it is unable to call the other two phones. "1" and "2" can call third phone sometimes but another time I get reorder tone when I dial "3".
I have made backups from adapters' settings. Does somebody have any idea about this problem?

Problem is solved...
SPA3102 has two RJ45 outlets: LAN and WAN (internet). I have used LAN only because of switch and the INTERNET terminal was empty. It appears to me this situation drives SPA3102 crazy... I had to make a "loopback" plug (I linked contact 1 to contact 3 and contact 2 to contact 6) and insert it into INTERNET outlet. So all of phones work well...
If you want to use a PAP2T lonely (without internet access) as a "micro-PBX" with two extensions, you will have to use same plug otherwise phones won't work.
