Call to India from UAE

Hi, I am new to skype, Call option to Landline and to Mobile subcription. I have made the payment and have got the confirmation from skype. When I am trying to call the India landling number from UAE, it just give the tone of dialing from here, , but no sound of the receiving end ring tone. Is there any steps required to be completed before using the subscription option to call India from UAE or any particular steps / setup required to be completed. Please advice successfull callers

Hi, I use 2500 mins subscribtion while i was in East African Countries and West African Countries.. Now i moved to middle east.. I recharged 800 mins subscribtion...The calls are going through but they cant hear me and vice versa.. Again it auto debited for next month still im facing the same probs.. Skype discontinued the Unlimited India subscription in August, due to high levels of abuse. Skype now offers 4 subscriptions for calling telephones in India (60, 120, 800 or 2500 minutes/month). Since this was just discontinued recently, I would not expect Skype to resume offering the former Unlimited India subscription.
If you have contacts in India that have Internet access, you could encourage them to sign up for Skype accounts. Then you could have free Skype-to-Skype calls with those contacts, including one-on-one video chats.

I will be travelling to New zealand on a leisure tour of 15-18 days.

I bought my new Curve 9320 from UAE 3 months back. I am currently in India and facing serious problems in
1. Battery life - very poor
2. Low call volume - speaker
3. Poor body cover- shaky
4. Trouble in setting up email account
These are problems from Day 1 but was not getting right forum to address. please help. I guess we can have it replaced or fixed at BB service centre (first we need to change the region from UAE to India etc etc..) Need clear guidance on how to proceed. Thanks a ton!

You need to go and talk to the Service Center. No one here can tell you what their policies are in your case...only they can answer that. But prepare yourself for them to refuse...warranty service is very specific, and documented within your original purchase documentation. It is entirely possible that you must return the device back to the UAE in order to obtain warranty service.
But, again, no one here can tell you what that is, for no one here is associated with any of the parties involved.

Ipads purchased in the UAE do not have FaceTime as it is prohibited by the UAE. You cannot add FaceTime to those iPads no matter where it might be used.

The warranty for an iPod is international (that is not the case for an iPhone). Thus, you can have ti serviced/exchanged in India.

Unable to make calls to Indian mobile from UAE

Hi, I do have a valid Skype account in India.Now I'm here on a tourist entry to UAE.It is mentioned that India to India Skype calling in no longer possible.However, as I'm outside India, can I make calls to India Mobile and Land phone in a normal way using the same skype id and microsoft account without changing anything? You can modify this program to call your webservice
you will need to change the url to the url of your webservice
the url can be reached by deploying the webservice from transaction wsadmin
also make sure that host file entries are present if needed

Unable to make calls to India

I have recharged unlimited premium pack for one month for $14 plus. However I am unable to make any calls to India and throwing an error message as insufficient credit. It's annoying.. I feel it was useless of paying 14 bucks as I can't make calls to desired country.. If there is no facility of calling to India, pls refund my money.. Awaiting for your swift response...!!!

The UAE blocks all VoIP outbound traffic including Skype. Try accessing the internet using a VPN.
TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac
