Call Waiting issues HELP!!!!

Whenever I have an incoming call and I try to switch to it, it disconnects the first call I was on. My phone seems to be missing the call waiting option. it is not located under the Options measure....HELP!!!!!

I checked with them. They said I do have it. Now they think I should bring in the phone to a store to see if the phone itself is the one with issues. Oh well. I hope they can sort it out because it is so annoying not being able to use the feature.

  • Bluetooth Call Waiting Issues

    I use a plantronics voyager pro headset with my fairly new LG G3 that worked perfectly on my Samsung S3 prior to the change. I am not hearing a tone in my headset when another person is calling. I also have a friend of mine with T-Mobile that has this phone and is having the same issue with a different headset. I often use  the speakerphone and unless I am looking at the phone it is not emitting a tone to let me know I have another call. Is anyone else out there having this issue? How did you fix it? Any help is appreciated as this is diving me batty. The only way I know I have missed a call is when my notifier shows it to me, I browse through my call logs or get a voice mail. I have had several clients tell me they have called me a few times and can't reach me when I know I am near the phone or have been on the phone, which for my work, is almost constant.

  • Need Support for Palm Pre Call Waiting

    I've had my palm pre for a month about now and notice a number of issues with its call waiting feature that need to be addressed.  Here is the list:
    1) I can't drop 1 call without dropping the other call: this means that if I'm on the phone with person "A" and receive a call from person "B", though I can switch between the two easily enough, I can't end the call between person "A" to talk to person "B".  What's even worse, even if person "A" hangs up, the pre still keeps the call connected until I hang up my phone.  This is a serious issue when you're calling outside of any promotional time, nights, or weekends.
    2) in a conference call, I can't end one conversation without ending both conversation.  So again, if I have both person "A" and person "B" on a call and I connect them through a conference call on my pre, I can't end the conversation with one without ending it with the other.  A real pain in the butt. 
    I just want to know two things asap since I know this is something that'll take time to resolve (if it can be resolved)
    1) is this a hardware issue or a operating system issue?
    2) does conference calling really kill my minutes the way it look like it does?  I'm leaning toward yes from evidence I have, but I'd like to hear it from the pre reps.

    1.  This functionality sometimes works and sometimes it does not.  But can you answer the other part of the post.  The PALM pre give the user no one to drop the other call.  Mine is worse.  If the other user hangs up CONFERENCE is still there; If they hang up I'm not in a CONFERENCE but the PRE does not recognize this state at all.  Therefore you can't add another person to the call again.
    2.  This one does not affect me as much since I have the simply everything plan.  But I would def. pay attentiont my bill and complain to SPRINT every time this occurs.
    3.  HAS ANYONE OPENED A TICKET WITH PALM FOR THE CONFERENCE CALL / CALL WAITING ISSUE?

    hi everyone. i am new to nokia c6. just recently i found out that i cant see whether the person who i am calling to is already engaged on a call or not or is on call waiting. i used nokia 3110 classic n still use nokia n82, which all had this feature. if there is no solution, is there any kind of software that i can use to get over this problem.
    please help me out. i would be very much grateful.

    no ,nokia dont give information on updates so you have to keep checking i will let you know as soon as updates are available as i use the same phone .something to keep in mind is that updates vary by region and product code .if the phone is network locked it will take longer as the operator has to ok the update .

  • Note 4 - Calling waiting/conference call issues

    Is this a defect in the new note? I am in able to end calls when answering a call (i.e. call waiting/conference calls). The other person can hang up but my phone will still say they are on hold. Which on turns holds up my free line.
    I find this rather annoying. Will this problem be corrected in an update?

    I have lost the swap button for call waiting how do I get that back? In the general settings I do not have a call waiting option.

    Call AT&T and have them enable the feature. This is a network problem most likely.

    You're not really 'ending' the other call, but when you press end, it disconnects the currently active call. Your phone will look like there are no active calls, but within a few seconds, your phone will ring, and it will be the caller you had on hold. They aren't calling back, they think you just switched back to them. This is how CDMA networks handle call waiting, there is no 'Swap Call' button.
    For your example, you would answer the 2nd call, tell them you'll call them back, then hang up. Your phone will then ring in a few seconds, and you'll be back talking to your 1st caller who will not know your phone just rang again.

  • Why doesn't my call waiting feature work AT ALL?

    My call waiting feature does not work at all. I receive absolutely no alert when I am on the phone and have a second incoming call. My phone goes straight to voicemail for the person who is attempting to call me while I'm on the phone.

  • Upgrade to IOS 6.1 - all incoming calls come in as a call waiting call when there is no other call going on, and it won't let me actually answer the call.

    I upgraded my AT&T iPhone 4 from IOS 6.0.1 to IOS 6.1 on Monday evening. It completed successfully overnight and everything looked good on Tuesday morning until I received my first call. When the phone rang, the screen showed the typical 'call waiting' screen, asking me if I wanted to 'End Call and Answer', 'Ignore Call', or 'Hold Call and Answer'. Using any of the selections still does not allow the call to be answered. It takes a hard reboot to clear the call.
    If I make an outgoing call, the phone hangs on the 'End Call' portion. It shows the button being pressed and that it is ending the call, but it doesn't ever end. It also takes a hard reboot to clear the call.
    So, I have tried hard reboots of the phone, without any success. Last night, I tried to reset the phone to factory settings and restored my phone content from iTunes. Unfortunately, I still was having the issue. I have also tried restoring the Network Settings, and that did not work as well.
    Has anyone seen any similar behavior and have any advice?

    A brief and probably non-helpful answer: I know of no way to eliminate your large amount of duplicates other than by repetitive, tedious manual effort.

  • Call waiting disconnects first call on SPA-3102

    Ive got this strange problem.
    When on the phone using Line 1 (voip account):
    1. I hear a call waiting tone,
    2. I press the flash hook and accept the second call.
    3. The first one gets disconnected.
    Some details about my setup:
    Enabled Codecs are G.729, G.711u and G.711a
    Preferred codec G.729
    Use Preferred Codec Only: NO
    Timer values: I found the PSTN flash hook timer value which is set at .25 sec. But this problem is when using Line 1 VoIP. So I doubt this is the issue.
    Now I "think" the SPA3102 can handle two G.729 calls (I think the spa3000 only did one G.729 codec). But even if this was the case, the codec shouldn't be a problem as my provider will allow BOTH G729 and G711.
    Any help with this is really appreciated !!

  • Phone keeps ringing on the caller's end - Is This a Call Waiting and Flash Button Problem?

    I had FIos phone service installed 2 weeks ago.  I am having a sporadic but regularly occurring issue with incoming calls that I think might be related to the Call Waiting and flash button so I am looking for some input.  Before describing the issue here are a couple of things to know:
    - I have my Verizon voice mail service turned off on my account.
    - I have the call waiting function set to off.
    - On my phone handset the Talk and Flash operation is the same button.
    Now here is my issue.  Often but not 100% of the time people are telling me that the phone just rings and rings on their end.  After receiving many complaints since my Fios install that the phone rings and my phone answering machine does not pick up the call I have been calling my home phone number with my cell phone and I have determined the following:
    1.  My home answering machine will pick up the call, however on my cell phone which is the calling end the  phone is still just ringing.
    2.  Sometimes I will press the talk button but there will be dead air but on my cell phone which is the calling end it will still be ringing..  But if I press the Talk/Flash button a couple of times the call completes.
    Since my Talk and Flash button are the same I started to wonder if that is a factor so I repeated scenarios above and found that after pressing the Talk button a couple of times then the call is answered and the phone stops ringing on the caller's end.
    I know that with Call Waiting the caller's end will just keep ringing unless the called end switches over with the Flash button.  So my question is even though I have the Call Waiting function turned off could the combination Talk/Flash button be the reason why the call just rings on the caller's end even though I have Call Waiting turned off?  And f this is the cause then why is it happening and does it mean that I have to buy a new phone that has separate Talk and Flash buttons?
    I hope the above description of my problem makes sense and can be answered.  Thank you

    Without buying a new phone you can test this. Unplug the phone that has the combination button. If its a cordless phone base station with multiple handsets, make sure you unplug those as well. Then use a regular phone plugged in to do test calls (if you dont have one you could maybe borrow one for a couple minutes from a friend, family, or neighbor).
