Call waiting on X6

when i call people and they are alreay on another call, my screen doesn't show "waiting", is there a way i can get this feature on my X6? i have the call waiting option activated for me so what when i am on a call i can recive another one.

the phone does say waiting
how you can check this out is
ring your friend ok ask him to dial his mailbox or another number
now you ring him
now look at your phone before you put it to you ear you will see waitng.

Why doesn't my call waiting feature work AT ALL?

My call waiting feature does not work at all. I receive absolutely no alert when I am on the phone and have a second incoming call. My phone goes straight to voicemail for the person who is attempting to call me while I'm on the phone.

After installing 6.0.1 on my iPhone 4 I no longer get notification when another call comes in when I'm on another call. In phone settings I no longer have the icons for call waiting and call forwarding. My carrier is sprint

I no longer get notifications that another call is coming in when I'm on the phone. In the settings under phone I do not see any availabilty for call waiting or call forwarding. I had this feature before installing the new update 6.0.1.

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.

Thanks for the additional details! Let's get this issue resolved. What software version is the device on? Please reset the Network Settings on the device. Go to settings>general>reset>reset network settings. Please Note: Audio alerts may also indicate delivery of incoming text messages or emails. The tone will vary based on the type of information being delivered to the device. Tones may also indicate low battery charge or inadequate signal strength. Keep me posted with results.

Upgrade to IOS 6.1 - all incoming calls come in as a call waiting call when there is no other call going on, and it won't let me actually answer the call.

I upgraded my AT&T iPhone 4 from IOS 6.0.1 to IOS 6.1 on Monday evening. It completed successfully overnight and everything looked good on Tuesday morning until I received my first call. When the phone rang, the screen showed the typical 'call waiting' screen, asking me if I wanted to 'End Call and Answer', 'Ignore Call', or 'Hold Call and Answer'. Using any of the selections still does not allow the call to be answered. It takes a hard reboot to clear the call.
If I make an outgoing call, the phone hangs on the 'End Call' portion. It shows the button being pressed and that it is ending the call, but it doesn't ever end. It also takes a hard reboot to clear the call.
So, I have tried hard reboots of the phone, without any success. Last night, I tried to reset the phone to factory settings and restored my phone content from iTunes. Unfortunately, I still was having the issue. I have also tried restoring the Network Settings, and that did not work as well.
Has anyone seen any similar behavior and have any advice?

A brief and probably non-helpful answer: I know of no way to eliminate your large amount of duplicates other than by repetitive, tedious manual effort.

Using CUIC to Show Calls Waiting on UCCX 9.0.2

Hi,
I am about to deploy UCCX 9 for a customer, and they want to use CUIC to replace their existing wallboard. This appears to be fine with the exception that none of the existing or available report definitions show calls waiting (as they are based on the Historical Reports Package).
Can anyone offer any advice, or share a report definition that would allow me to show this?

I've not played with CUIC properly myself, but basically you need to get a Lab or NFR kit for CUIC Premium; with that you can created customised reports and import those to the UCCX system.

when i call someone who is engaged in call i can't recognize it as it's not like all phones that shows CALL WAITING to know that the other party has a call.
What should i do to Know the other one online or not
or what app shuld i use??

All info should show e.g. Calling - Call Waiting or Busy - Call Ended etc.
Call Waiting must be turned On in phone settings and must be supported by your service provider.

Problem with call waiting in E90

I am facing problem activating 2nd call using call waiting feature. When second call is coming, i press the call button (green) and nothing seems to happen.. Rather, after that none of the keys seem to work until the other person hangsup or I hang up. I tried this from outside and inside of the phone. I even tried 'answer call' from options, it didnt work. Is it a software problem/ bug or something wrong with my peice. I shouldnt be doing the proceaa wrong because its a pretty simple thing and I have been using this feature on other simpler phones (including old communicator 9500) for donkeys years.

I never had this problem with my E90 since the day I got it (about one month ago), and I have calls waiting every day. I did not had any problems even with 3 call. So I guess it't not a software bug, just a problem with your particular piece. If you can repeat it, you should show it at the service center and ask for a repair / replacement. Good luck.

I currently have the call waiting system set up on my iPhone, so i can see when other people are trying to call me whilst already on a call.
However i would like the caller to know that i'm aware of their call so was wondering if there is an app or any software where i am able to record a voiceno

What I'm saying is call waiting is a carrier feature so a recording to interrupt the incoming call while you continue to talk likely would have to be implemented by the carrier. I don't have a recorded message for call waiting but call your carrier to find out if they offer such a feature.

the problem about call wating.
when i call someone he call to another we usually see in all other models a notification "call waiting" to be know the person we are calling to is busy talking with another
nokia 5800 xpressmusic doesnt show this notification "call waiting"
this problem causes many problem for me.
that i think that the person that i callig dont want to answer me
but the truth he is talking to some one in his phone.
i have my nokia 5800 since firmware v50.x i think that nokia will solve this problem in the next firmware but didn't solved in v 51.x and waiting for new firmware and now updating my phone to the last firmware but not solved too.

furthermore if the reciever doesn't want to recieve ur call, he may let ur call ring through and through, in which case u'll hear ringing and at the end u'l hear a voice sayin tht the person isn't pickin up ur fone plz try later.. OR there he may reject ur call, in that case u'l 1 or 2 rings and then a voice tellin the prsn u r tryin to reach is busy, etc..
Of course these vary accordin to network..
Well in any case it's a network issue not a handset issue..
Check with ur network.

Call waiting notifications on Nokia 5800!!!!

I have a small problem.
When I call somebody from my nokia 5800 and that person is talking to smb., so my call is on waiting, i don't hear anything and i don't even see it on my screen. So i don't know if that person is not answering or is on a call.
The same happens when samb calls me and i'm on a call. I receive on the screen a waiting call, but only if i look at it. I don't hear no beeps or any sound that could announce me that i am receiving a call while i'm in a disscusion.
The call waiting option is activated.
How do I solve the problem with the sound notification?

Because that is not a feature of the iPhone (or of most phones). If someone does not answer when you call, it means they do not want to or cannot talk to you at that time. They could be on another call or they could be simply busy doing something else. Why does it matter which?
