Call without turning on the speakerphone

When I make a call with my iphone 5 I recently bought, the person I call can only hear me if I turn on the speakerphone.

The debug info is not even created unless debugging is switched on.

  • I just got an iPhone 5s, and I restored from a previous back up and now I can't restore the phone without "turning off the find my iphone setting"?

I just got an iPhone 5s, and I restored from a previous back up (mistake) and now I can't restore the phone to start again without "turning off the find my iphone setting" but it's using an old email address as the icloud login, which i don't have a password to / never used for an icloud account. I have gone and changed my settings to a different email on my icloud / apple ID but on my phone it won't let me change the email address for icloud, it's greyed over and keeps trying to verify?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

  • I can only text through ordinary message when not connected to the internet to someone, but when I am connected, it is automatically assumed as iMessage. How will I text ordinarily without turning off the net? Thank you!

I am from the Philippines btw. What I meant is, I cannot text someone ordinarily when the net is turned on, and it assumes to be texting through iMessage. How will I text someone without turning off the internet in an ordinary way, not in iMessage? Thank you.

I Tried that already, but if i turned it off, I cannot send an imessage to people I want to text through imessage. There are people in my contacts that when I text, it is automatically as text message, while there are some that when I text, it is through iMessage automatically, and I just want through text message also. And for the latter, I still need to turn off the wifi in my phone for them to be texted through iMessage, which is more hassle.

Without turning on the photo stream, is it possible to recover pics taken from my iPhone?

    MCPaulyB,
Have you found a solution to your problem? I, too, lost files during the upgrade to iOS 5.0. My files in Pages, Numbers and Keynote disappeared although the update said they'll be saved in iCloud. They simply vanished after the update.

  • IPhone answers call without even sliding the button to answer. Privacy?

I know I have seen this issue posted before but couldn't find it. Has anyone else run into the problem of your phone's mic turns on before you ever answer it so the other person can hear you beforehand? Mine did this today when i was forwarding my home phone over to the iPhone so I know it happened. I had my iPhone laying in front of me on the bar because when you forward with Centurytel you actually have to answer the phone you are forwarding to, I call me iPhone, before it even rings I hear it click like the speakerphone has turned on and I also heard it click in the landline phone, so I tapped on the iPhone and could hear my tapping in the landline phone. Then it rang and I answered it to complete the forwarding, but there was a definite few seconds there where I had not answered the iPhone but it was sending out whatever the mic was sending. This is probably related to the Lexus bluetooth feedback problem as well. It is scary actually. What if you didn't want to answer the call or was saying something confidential. Whether you answer it or not it answers for you and sends out whatever it picks up. Not sure if this in intermittent or not as this is the first time I have really paid attention to it. I had read some other post before but had never experienced it til today. Weird.

    Hey Vounazz,
Thanks for the question, I can understand how frustrating this may be. To troubleshoot the issues you described, let’s try the following:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
    Restarting your iOS device
    1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
    2. After the device has turned off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    Resetting your device
If your device stops responding, you can reset it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If the above does not resolve your issue, the next best step will be to restore your iPhone using a computer with iTunes. Please be sure to backup your iPhone first.
Choosing an iOS backup method (Should I use iTunes or iCloud to back up my iOS device?)

  • They should fix the picture message things I would like to send a picture without turning on the cellular data

I feel like I should be able to sit at home and send a picture without turning on my cellular data.

If you are connected to a wi-fi network, you can send an iMessage with a photo or video without having to use cellular data.
Regular text messages (SMS) are exchanged via your carrier's cellular network - the same network as calls. Data is not required.
Picture messages (MMS) are exchanged via your carrier's cellular data or internet network.
This will not be fixed since there is nothing to fix.

  • OSX ML firewall is blocking smtp/imap connection to the server. how can i enable it without turning off the firewall?

With the firewall turned on and with the "block all incoming connections" option untick, I can send email to internal and external addressee. However,
    1. Mail clients both from LAN and from outside (WAN connected) could not connect to the mail server. Both SMTP and IMAP could not connect to the server.
    2. External MTA (say from google or yahoo MX server) could not connect to the server too.
both of these issues are resolved if I set the firewall to OFF. Is there a workaround without turning this off? appreciate your input/advise..

I've used Mail on Exchange and Gmail with the firewall on for send/recieve on my Mac no problem there.
However,  are you asking about the MacServer? If so, you're in the wrong section...
Remember how public-facing systems work, they have to be universally accessible directly or through a DMZ zone in the firewall/gateway. This means the firewall/gateway has to be upstream from the server, not directly on the server.
Also, check your DNS settings on the computers and server both inside and outside the network.

    Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums
Are you sure that the battery is good enough or have you tried to use another Good BlackBerry battery , if not then try to arrange a fully charged battery and test it on your device , it will reveal if the problem is within your device or the Battery itself.

  • My minor daughter won't give us her icloud password, she is in some real trouble and we need to restore the phone but can't without turning off the find my phone feature and it requires her password

Please someone help.  My minor child is 16 years old and has been caught using drugs.  we found pictures  on her phone that she has been posting in adult apps and chatting with men twice her age.  We are trying to restore the phone.  She is refusing to give us her password or the answers to the security questions.  Please help us.  IS THERE ANY WAY TO FIX THIS???

No, to restore, you need to turn off Find My iPhone and to do so you need the Apple ID & password.
It's the Activation Lock that prevents thief wiping the iPhone for reuse.
Take the iPhone from her and if you have the receipt (not from 3rd parties shops), call Apple Care and see if they can help.
