Callable Object of Type "Input" is missing.

Hi Friends,
I am no able to see the callable object of type
<b>Input</b> under <b>Data forms</b>,
I do have only other 3 types:
1) Data Input Form
2) Data Display Form
3) Data Display and Acknowledgement
and fourth one <b>Input is Missing</b>
Can you please tell me how can I get that,
Thanks,
Deepak

Hi Deepak,
Callable Object of Type "Data Forms -> Input" has been removed.  You can view all of the available callable object types by selecting the GP Administration Workset -> Manage Permissions -> Callable Objects.  Please see <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/ff/1b3a4209a6ae04e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">HERE</a> for documentation.

  • Callable object of type Input missing

    Hi
I am following a tutorial "Using Parallel Dynamic Block and Dynamic User
Assignment". In this, we are required to create a callable object of type "Input". But there is no search type present in the list of callable objects under "Form".
I have tried using "Data Input Form", but where do i specify the output Parameters.
    Can anybody suggest any alternative?
    Thanks,
    Malita

    Hi malita
If it is just for the purpose of learning how to use Parallel Dynamic Block, then please follow the following tutorial:-

  • Problem in creating a callable object of type Business Logic

    Hi SDN,
I am trying to create a callable object of type Business Logic in CE.
When I give all information and click Next, I get this error message.
Error while loading configuration dialog: Failed to create delegate for component com.sap.caf.eu.gp.ui.co.CExpConfig. (Hint: Is the corresponding DC deployed correctly? Does the DC contain the component?)
Can anybody help me out with this problem.
    Regards,
    Sumangala

    Hi.
I'm having the same problem as Senthil in NW2004s SP15 with my application service and methods not showing up in the Callable Object wizard for Composite Application Services after I choose the Endpoint.  The only application name that shows up in the wizard is caf.tc, and the only service names that show up for it are LDDataAccessor, Metadata, and PropPermissionService.
My IDE is on one machine and the application server I deploy to is located on a different machine.  My endpoint to the remote application server looks to be correctly configured.  The Composite Application Service seems to be deployed properly as I'm able to see it and test that it works in the Web Services Navigator <http://remotehost:50000/wsnavigator/>
My deployed application service is a remote enabled service and is also web services enabled as well.
I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I noticed that the generated Java code does not create any remote EJB interfaces (only home and local interfaces were generated).
Something else I noticed is that when I proceed to the External Service Configuration -> Business Entities screen <http://remotehost:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/cafUIconfiguration>, I only see three business entities displayed, and the following error message is displayed: "Corrupt metadata has been detected. This may prevent some objects from being displayed. Check the server log for more details."  I was unable to find anything in the instance log files.  Is the error message indicative of the problem?
I am developing locally without a NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI) in place.
I'm wondering if the credentials specified in the endpoint require any special roles or privileges.
Senthil, do any of these additional descriptions apply to you as well?

    Hi,
How many actions  are there in your process?. Is it having only one action that is Web service?.
I think, The process should at least contain one UI action.
If your process is having multiple actions, there may problem with other actions. Test the web service action seperately to confirm this.

  • Info Callable Object of type SAP R/3?

    Hi Friends,
I have designed a Business Process using CAF GP, in which, in one of the actions I have inserted an Info Callable Object of type SAP Transaction, though the callable object is working fine with the process,
I can see callable object in a limited area only,
<b> I am not able to maximize it, neither I can any scroll bars to scroll up and down,
so that I can see full R/3 window within the GP window,</b>
Can anybody help me doing that?
    Thanks

  • Unable to create callable object of type Webdynpro (GP Interface)

I am getting the following error message when i try to create a callable object of type webdynpro in GP. It was working fine, but when i added component reuse it start giving me the following error:
"Cannot read callable object description from component: <null>"
I also have the library "caf/eu/gp/api" in my project, so i know that is not the problem.
So basically, my project was working fine until i added component resue that it is not letting me create a callable object in GP.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

That problem is now solved, i dont know how but i took out and putted back my component reuse and it worked. But now components that are deployed to the server and are functioning properly, stop working after the server is rebooted. Simply redeploying the component does not make it work again.
A note: One way that we've been able to "work around" this has been to modify the components in some way, rebuild, redeploy. Exactly what modifications that make it function again, is unknown.
Any help on tha issue will be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Callable object "input" is missing

    Hi,
I am using some guides to learn to use block in Composite Application Framework.
    I have a SAP Portal 2004s SP10.
I am using some guides I found on CAF Tutorial Center, in particular “Designing a Block” and “Using Parallel Dynamic Block and Dynamic User Assignment”.
Quite often in those guides it is asked to use a callable object called “Input” under the type “Data Forms”, but in my portal there is nothing with this name, the more similar is a callable object called “Data input form”, but it is no possible to insert input in it, so I cannot complete the tutorial.
Someone can help me, telling me if there is an alternative valid callable object, or if I have to install some other component?
    Thank you
    Giuseppe Pagnotta

    Hi,
Most probably you're using an outdated documentation, as the Callable Object of type "Input" has been removed from recent releases.
Regarding the issue, you can most probably use Data Input Form or Web Dynpro Form instead of "Input" in this case.
    OR
you can use Visual Composer to create the UI and use CO of type "Portal iView or Page" to integrate it into a Process.
You can find more information on Visual Composer here: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/visualcomposer
    Hope this helps,

    Hi Experts,

    Hi Madhan,
The Callable Object of Type "Data Forms -> Input" has been removed. As a replacement for this, you can use either Data Input Form or Web Dynpro Form.

  • Remove button in Content package - callable object in GP

    Hi Friends,
I have created a callable object of type content package. I have used this E-Learning document Link : [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/08d689d1-0c01-0010-c69c-808d2b1111d7]. I am able to test and execute the process in GP. But there is a button "OK" which is shown on the page. But I want to remove it. Could you please provide me with the options for removing the button. If it is not possible, what would be the alternate option that I could use?
    Thanks in advance!
    Saravanan

    Hi Abhay,
While creating the Callable Object Select "Webdynpro Component (GP Interface) and click on next. In the next screen you will see the deployed wdynpro components and select your webdynpro component with correct name space.
You have to add some DCs in Used DCs and add an implemented interface WebDynproCO. Then you will see a window created with this name "WebDynproCO".
Then this Interface will generate two frame work methods  getDescription( ) and execute( ) in your component's  Interface controller. Along with these 2 you should explicitly declare the 3rd method complete( ) and write the corresponding code in these 3 methods.
If you need forther help, Let me know and also let me know at which point you need help.

  • Background callable object :Error

    Hi,
I created one background callable object in webdynpro,
to be called from GP design time.
I have done this using the tutorial :
    "Implementing Background callable object"
    Deployement finished successfully.
But from GP design time, while creating callable object
of type backround execution,  I selected,
    container type : library
container : apibckg(deployed DC of type J2ee server
               library)
implementation class name : the java class which implemented background callable object.
    But error in gp: is
    "Cannot find this class name"
In webdynpro after building the project I got the warnings:
Nov 3, 2006 11:57:13 AM /userOut/Development Component (com.sap.ide.eclipse.component.provider.listener.DevConfListener) [Thread[ModalContext,5,main]] WARNING: apibckg: built with warnings sap.com/apibckg(MyComponents) in variant "default" (1.406 sec)
    can any bdy help me
    thanks
    smitha

    Hi Smitha,
You just need to repeat the steps described in the tutorial, i.e. define the references and create a class that implements the GP Background callable object interface.
Don't forget to define the sub-type of the library in the .dcdef file.
         <component-type>
              <vendor>Your vendor</vendor>
              <type>Java</type>
              <sub-type>Library</sub-type>
         </component-type>
Then add a new empty file named "build.vm" under the folder "cfg". Add the line "#BuildSecondaryLibrary()".
Then build and deploy. It should be there.

  • Decision Dialog Callable Object

    Hello,
I want to model a process where in the initiator starts a process ...he is given 2 options to select ...and based on the selection ...the process further is guided ....i think i would have to use Decision dialog callable object for this....please let me know if anybody has done something like this.
Any help would ne highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Anil.

    hi Anil,
There is more than one way to achieve what you want, one could be creating a visual composer form with two endpoints and diferents resultStates variables , the other way is using the built in decition dialog callable object, let's focus in this solution:
For the purpose, you need to create:
    u2022  A process
u2022  A main sequential block within the process to hold all other blocks, actions and
    callable objects
u2022  An alternatives block within the main block that holds a decision action and a callable object of type Decision Dialog that is used for Complex Decision with Result States
This callable object may have the following alternatives:
    o  Approval by one person
    o  Approval by two persons
u2022  Two separate sequential blocks that hold the actions for each of the alternatives
listed above. (one block in case of approval of 1 person and another block in case of approval by two persons)
After creating the full process you have to assign every result state of the decisition dialog CO with the right block to be executed.
Very complete info on this topic:
[Designing Blocks in Composite Application Framework|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/4848c8d1-0c01-0010-33b9-87a6488c48a7]:

    HI Nishi
                struck up with minor problem,
We have a application designed in VC.It contains
    Create request
    Approve Request(approve or reject buttons)
    IF approved then
    a.Book Request IView
    b.Summary Iview
    If Rejected then
    a.rejected IView.
When i am designing Process with Sequential block,
    all the actions namely
    create request
    appprove request
    reject
    book
    summary
are processingone one by as action mentioned in sequential block irrespective of approved or rejected.
I cannot go for alternative block, since the result state buttons are desinged in IView only namely(Approve/reject).
How to overcome this probelm any suitable solution?
