Caller 09 error message in bi 7?

Hi all,
I am getting an error in the pc " caller 09 contains error message:, i ran the abap program RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL to activate the data source. but after i select the data source and ran the program i am still getting
There is no DataSource with these attributes
but there is a datasource in the system!!
Can anyone pls help me on this!!, and this error is on BI 7 system!!

Hi Hari,
For DS activation you can goto edit mode of DS & activate . It is not always necessary that you should run the program to activate the DS.
Also in which system you are running the program?
R/3 or BW system?? I hope since your source system is R/3, you will be activating it in R3 by running the program & in BW side, do it manually if you cant do it using the program.

Sorry.... Maybe I'm a bit thick, but do you mean 1/ switch the TV on and try Skype after 10 minutes? Or 2/ Try Skype within the 10 minutes? I'm happy to help with research if I can, even though I don't even switch this TV on anymore!
My issue is constant. I.E. I turn the power off at the socket, wait at least 10 seconds, turn on, start the TV and make a Skype call. That works..... ONCE. If I try to call a second contact, it gives the "call failed" message, without even waiting for any type of connection, or pausing for any timeout. If anyone tries to contact me, they get a "busy" message.
To be honest, I've not tried leaving the TV on for a while before trying. If I've nothing better to do over the next few days, I'll try that. I'm not that interested in it anymore. In fact... I don't like to see that TV in my living room and don't even use it!
Skype on my phone works better, with better video and sound quality. That's where I'm at.....
Maybe I'm on a downer tonight...

Opening XLSX Files in change-Modus calls up Error message

Good Morning Community,
we are facing problems whenever we're trying to open Documents in our Business Blueprint Structure (SOLAR01) which are stored as document type XLSX.
The error message popping up reads as follows:
Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\SAPUSERNAME\AppData\Local\SAP\SAPGUI\tmp\001E0B76A9901ED0BAE62769F63D9E0A\OLY-SD-document types.xlsx' Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again.
Funnily the error message has no consequence, the document still opens in Excel (2003, which we have in use in our company, whilst the original file, created by our external consultants, is in Office 2010 format), but we would like to get rid of that message. I already tried the solution suggested in Office 2007 Document Attaching in Solution Manager , but to no avail.
Does anyone else have similar difficulties and probably already found a solution? And no, upgrading to Office 2010 is out of scope

It looks like there is a problem with your SAP GUI installation on the client.
Did you check this already?
During our project for the Office2010 upgrade I have checked all combinations of different installations:
Office2003 on a WinXP-32-client and on a WinXP-64 client
Office2010 on a WinXP-32-client and on a WinXP-64 client
SolMan documents in Office2003 format
SolMan documents in Office2010 format
All run well if SAPGUI release 720 has been correctly installed on the clients. Older versions don't work!
You find more information for SAPGUI 720 in the sapnotes 1393114 and 66971.
But I recommend to install Office2010 because there is some more trouble in SolMan functionality caused by Office2010 documents and using Office2003, e.g. generating the test report. Therefore we don't use 2010-files until all clients have upgraded to Office2010.

How to track error message when calling Transaction: va02

    As we all know, when we change an order through T-Code: VA02, system will update modified data to corresponding database. Meanwhile, if our operate is not legal or incorrect on T-code: VA02, system will call corresponding error messages to us.

   2. Is there any Tcode such as: SM21 that we can see the message logs after our operation?

SAVE_TEXT for long error Message not working.

I am Using SAVE_TEXT FM to Dynamically Change Long Text for a message.
1. i am able to run succesfully SAVE_TEXT with SY-SUBRC = 0.
2. I can see the entry in STXH.
3. I have also performed COMMIT_TEXT with all the parameters and COMMIT_WORK.
4. I am able to See the changed Text using READ_TEXT FM.
but if i go to SE91 to the message no. and see long text i am not able to see the changed text.
also when change the long text of it in a program and call the error message we should be able to see the changed long text on click of error message in status bar but it shows the same message as in SE91.
Earlier for this Text Object & Text ID in SE75 Save mode was SPACE so i changed the same to Update still its not working.

Read_TEXT - I want to change Text not read it.
INIT_TEXT- this cannot be used to change texts.
EDIT_TEXT- this function module Opens the Long text screen
                   and we have to manually save it, but i want to save the text automaticaly
                   all this is done using SAVE_TEXT.
Only problem is I am missing something after the call of SAVE_TEXT because text is changed
as i can see that using read_text FM but if i go to SE91 and see long text for the corresponding message no. i cannot see the
changed text done bu SAVE_TEXT.

Hi,
I need to put an authority check before saving in Tcode VK11.
I used BADI SD_COND_SAVE_A to put the checking. I needed to output a message then go back to the same screen with the entered values in the screen still in it.
How Can I make the program go back to the screen with its values.
Below is my code:

This is what Im looking for. But unfortunately it is having an error message ($$00000001 in function group) when ever I would change the values and hit the save button again.
When I debug it, whats happening is that an internal table is not getting refresh in this process thus calling the error message. There is no way I can refresh this table because it is not present in the BADI.

Looking through the interface methods it looks like there is the following sequence:
BEFORE_UPDATE -> IN_UPDATE -> AT_SAVE
Wherease the first two methods do not have any exception method AT_SAVE has one:
ERROR_WITH_MESSAGE
I would assume that you need to implement AT_SAVE as well.
If my assumption about the sequence of method calling is correct then you can save required data within additional instance attributes when method BEFORE_UPDATE is called. These "stored" data can then be evaluated in method AT_SAVE.

I have OS X Yosemite 10.10.2. I am signed into iCloud, FaceTime, & Messages with the same Apple ID. Is anyone encountering this?

The Same Network is only needed for the Text Forwarding part of the Messages app on both and the iMessages account's Text Forwarding.
I understand Blue Tooth is On but have your paired the two devices for Handoff and Continuity ?

How to capture error message in a FM call during exception

Hi,
The FM i'm trying to call is giving an exception and don't have the built in mechanism to pass on the error message that occured during processing.
However, if i see the job log in SM37, I'm able to see the corresponding error message.
Please let me know on how to capture this error message with in my program.
