Caller Id picture

How do you make the caller id of incoming or outgoing calls small like in the commercial and screen shots? Mine just has the person's picture on the whole screen and not on the top corner like the commercial and screen shots.

It seems to depend on where you set the picture from. If you set the picture in the address book on your computer (at least on a Mac), then the incoming call picture is small.
If you set it on the phone as a contact picture, then it comes up as the full screen one. At least I think that's the way it works. Not sure what the PC equivalent of setting the picture in the address book is, haven't used iTunes on a PC in a while.
Personally, I prefer the full-screen ones. It's easier to pick more interesting pictures for people than being limited to a small headshot.

No, this was a new feature that was added to IOS 7.
This might change back to full screen when IOS 8 is released.

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...

If you try all these Steps and you still have issues... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...

Getting the caller id pictures to be larger on Treo Pro??

I have a palm treo pro, and i when i assign a picture to a contacts information, the picture will come up when they call, but it is also a quarter inch by a quarter inch big. Does anyone know how to change that and maybe make it a full screen picture or at least big enough to see. Thanks

Sorry, there isn't a way to change the picture size for caller ID by default. There are some 3rd party shell application that will do this.

Call Display Picture Always Full Screen (I don't want that)

There are a few discussions about this, but they all seem to be over 4 years old, and I still have the problem. (Please read the whole explanation, as I've tried several fixes already)
I am extremelly picky with my computer and phone "stuff". Ever since I've owned my iPhone I've made it a point to add a picture to every contact I have.
Early in my iPhone ownership I realized that if you add a picture directly from your iPhone (wether is taking it directly from the iPhone cam while adding the contact or choosing from the library) such picture shows FULL screen when I call that person or when that person calls me. If I simply open Address Book in my Mac and "drag" a picture (say for instance from Facebook) into the picture section of that contact and then synch, then when I make or receive a call from that person it shows small and I still see my wallpaper on the background.
Well THAT's what I want (just like in the Appple commercials), I DON'T want the full screen picture.
Now here's THE PROBLEM;
For some reason NOW, I STILL add pictures the SAME WAY (I go into Facebook, and drag the picture into Address Book) but when I make or receive a call from that person the display picture ALWAYS shows full screen!! It's annoying the heck out of me!!
The ONLY thing different is that now my contact are synched thru iCloud as opposed to synching using a USB cable in iTunes, HOWEVER, SOME contacts show how they are supposed to show (even adding them thru iCloud), but MOST others don't! I feel I should add that ALL contacts I had BEFORE I strated synching with iCloud still show fine, the ones that have a problem are MOST (but not all) of the ones I added AFTER I started synching thru iCloud. And the fact that a few worked fine leads me to believe there's got to be a way of making them all show small.
Anyone has any idea of how to keep them ALL the same?

OK, that's interesting. Now, how do I get all of my contact photos into iPhoto? And do I have to do this one contact at a time, or is there a setting where I can "import all". Furthermore, once all photos are in iPhoto and I select "Import Face from iPhoto" can I do such actions for all contacts at once or do I have to do them one at a time?

would you please show me how to set full screen caller id photo. I do have picture taken by my iphone associated to contacts but they always show in small circle beside the caller id name.

Income call contact picture FULL SCREEN or small in the corner

I have read the forum and I understand how each is set:
FULL SCREEN: Picture must be set from iPhone itself
Small picture in the top right: Must be set on the computer (address book/outlook)
Ok, Now here's my question - I've set these in mixed places, some on the iphone and some in address book. Its obviously faster to do it on the computer, which is why I did it there. HOW do I get all of the pictures to show up full screen without going into each contact and reassigning the pictures? Apple has got to put in a setting somewhere - or maybe this is something that we need to request for them to put in an update.

If you really want the big pictures, you can edit them in your iPhone contacts. Select the contact and tap the edit button at the top right. Then you can tap the picture. On the resulting screen tap "edit photo" and then tap "set photo". You will have the big photo on the next call from that contact.

I guess it's their facebook picture (if they have facebook). It's not only on one contact. It happens on every contact that calls me. Help!!

It sounds to me as if the contact picture is of a low resolution and when the iPhone tries to fit it to the screen, it pixilates. You can always go in and remove the picture from the contact if you wanted to. If they are friends of yours on Facebook, you could also go into their photos and copy a picture and that would put it in your camera roll and you could select that picture yourself. I must not be too aware of Facebook pictures being used as contact photos because none of my friends pictures are showing up like that. However, I have seen a couple of my Linkedin contacts doing that, but they are not pixilated like you describe.

Show incoming Call thumbnail Picture on Full Scree...

I am using E61i, the small thumbnail is showing on screen when the some one call me, is it possible the thumbnail show in full screen to look good.

FYI, there already was a difference in displaying different contact pictures. Depending on the way contact pictures were assigned to contacts, iOS 7.0 already displayed tiny rounded versions OR a full screen version.
I noticed that the former small pictured contacts in iOS 7.0 are still displayed as small pictures in iOS 7.1 beta 3. The former full screen pictures in iOS 7.0 however appear as blank backgrounds in iOS 7.1 beta 3. Perhaps this is just a bug? It certainly feels like it. I cannot imagine Apple removes this behaviour, since they proudly used it in screenshots while promoting iOS 7.0.

Contact Picture Durring a call

Its not that important, im just curious
I remember in the commercials for iphone, when they made a call, the person's picture was small and in the upper right hand corner with the wallpaper still there taking up most of the screen.
Usually when i make a call, the picture takes up the whole screen. Cept i just called a friend of mine and it did the small picture thang. anyone know why it would change back and forth?

It depends how the photo get assigned to the contact.
If you take a photo on the iPhone and assign it to a contact you get the full screen version as it uses the photo from the iPhone photo library. This is also true for any contacts that use an existing photo from the iPhones photo library that you have transferred via iTunes.
If you assign a photo to a contact on your computer and then sync the contact over to the iPhone then only a small version of the photo is attached to the contact details. Hence you only see the small photo when they call.
If you want big photos then assign photos to contacts on the iPhone.
If you want small photos then assign photos to your contacts on your computer and sync to the iPhone.
