I live in Massachusetts, USA.
When I am calling a US business, sometimes a toll-free (800/877/866) and other times not, the number shows up with a (559) area-code and a different number each time. If I am calling someplace important (bank/internet provider/electric company/PayPal) they will give Me a hard time as I am not calling from the number they have listed.
This is NOT a Windows issue. To suggest udating to the latest version is offensive. I am running Windows 7 with all the most recent updates. I need a real solution. Not some platitude of, "Make sure you are running the most current verion of Skype." (I am). This happens no matter what computer I am logged into with My Skype account.
I have checked several times the the number listed in "Display this number when I call mobiles and landlines from Skype" is correct. The number displays correctly when I call some businesses and all home Caller IDs, but not to other businesses. Every business I call is in the US.

App Store badge count shows the wrong number in iOS 8.0.2

Just updated to iOS 8.0.2 on both my iPhone 5 and iPad Air and the App Store badge app count still shows the number of apps that had updates even though they were updated when syncing with my Mac.
When you launch the App Store it quickly shows "Update" for a number of apps before then showing "Open"
Anyone else got the same issue or know how to fix it?

Had the same problem with upgrading to 8.0.2 and then having app updates occur while syncing with iTunes - although just for the iPhone not iPad - not sure what I did differently if anything. The badge number on the phone was wrong until I got an over-the-air update notification which reset the badge number. I uploaded the app over-the-air and now there is no badge number (I would assume until the next update). Will try a sync again with iTunes to see if it was something new with iTunes - or just an odd combination of updating to 8.0.2 in conjunction with app updates.

On the left hand side of iTuen screen, the application shows there are 5 app need to be updated. However, after I click the update button, the system reply there is nothing to be updated.

Are you signed into the Store?
If the number of updates appeared when you were signed in - and on the same account ID, but now, when you check again you are not signed in, there will be no updates available.

How do I get you to input the right number or can I edit my profile in some way and change the telephone number so you can either issue a new security code, or determine what my existing code is. I don't seem to have a 7 digit number on file anywhere.

Thanks again Tyler. The problem comes up when I try to log into Outlook. Microsoft asks to send my security code to a phone number which is not mine and I cannot find a way to change the number. Without an updated or recovery of my existing code, I am always mumbling around the questions and just keep retrying to log on until I can. Any thoughts?

In Mail, the "From" line shows the wrong name associated with my email ID. I've looked over preferences and account information but have not found where I can update it.

There isn't an email address associated with the contact name who appears as the "from" in Mail. It used to be a shared email address and I already had updated the contact to list only the phone number in case that was causing the problem.

CUCM doesn't show the translated number

Hey guys,
I had this working on my Call Manager and not sure what has happened, was hoping someone could help.
I have a number of translation patterns configured so that if a user dials another user by their external DID number, the CM routes the call internally.
This still works - however after dialling the full external number, once the dialling is finished we used to see the translated (shortened internal) number of the phone but now we are only seeing exactly what was dialled.
Example:
Internal user has extension 2000, this extension has a DID of number 073072000
If I am on extension 2200 and I dial 073072000 then on my phones display it would change to 2000 as soon as I finished dialling digits.
Now for some reason it is no longer changing the number to 2000 after I finish dialling - it just displays the actual dialled digits of 073072000.
I know that the translation pattern is working, due to call access restrictions the call would normally be blocked. It just is not showing the translated pattern on the phone display.
The pattern is configured as:
007307.2XXXX
The Called Party Transformation is set to discard PreDot.

I had turned it to True as this meant incoming calls from UCCX to agents then shows the callers number and not the CTI port that sends the call over to CUCM - which is annoying.
Sucks you can only have it one way or the other system wide.

AirDrop showing the wrong name and picture with iOS 7

AirDrop is showing the wrong name and picture on my wife's phone....It is showing my name and picture. She has an iPhone 5 and I just updated her to iOS7 about an hour ago, same time as I did mine. Is it because we are connected with the same Apple ID and if so, how do I fix it? She is annoyed by it and not seeing where I can change it in the settings is beginning to annoy me. Help!

I don't think that's the issue. I'm having the same problem. My wife, my son, and I all use the same Apple ID, but we have different email addresses and phone numbers for facetime and imessage (we've never had an issue with imessage or facetime). Today, I updated my phone and ipad to ios 7 and tried to experiment with airdrop. On both devices it showed my son's name. Then my son updated his ipad and we tested airdrop again. His ipad shows up on my phone and ipad with his name as well. The email address that I use for Apple ID is not associated with him on any device. His name is not listed on our Apple ID account. One of them shows his photo that he uses for his facebook profile, but the other's just have a gray circle with his first initial. I'm hoping it's just a bug that will get fixed soon, but if anyone knows a fix, please share.

If I click on the adobe.ly link Rajshree gave you, above, there is a phone number at the bottom of the Customer Support contact webpage.
This is the number I see when logged in with an AdobeID associated with the US is:
800-833-6687
It is possible that you are somewhere else in the world and the webpage is smart enough to give a different phone number, so the number I see may or may not be applicable to where you are.
It also may be advisable to use the Chat instead of the phone, because it may be easier to understand what someone is typing than trying to interpret their English through whatever accent they are speaking with.

i can sign into my icloud account on pc and i can sign into my apple account on pc and phone, but i cannot sign into icloud on my iphone. icloud is showing the wrong email address on phone only and i don't see where to change it to the correct address.

Not sure what it is you did. If you have your contacts saved in iCloud (you can check them by signing into your Apple/iCloud account at iCloud.com - check the Contacts there), then changing your Apple ID will have no effect on your iCloud content. Also, when you Sign Out of the iCloud account on your device, you are given the option to keep the Contacts on that device. If you select "Keep", then when you sign back on with the updated Apple/iCloud ID, it will ask you if you want to merge the contacts on your device with your iCloud account. If you select "Merge", then it merges them.
Also, what the instructions above are having you do is change the Apple ID that the iCloud account is linked to. It is the same Apple account, you are just changing the ID itself. The iCloud account associated with that ID is not changing or being affected in any way. If you created a new Apple ID, then that is the problem. A new ID would be linked to a new/different iCloud account.
However, either way, if you keep your contacts and then merge them even if you set up a separate ID altogether (which is not what the instructions are telling you to do), your contacts would be intact.

My iMac shows the wrong month everything I download or save is based in January

If I download aome music from the iStore it shows the wrong month, the right day and the day number and the right year but the month is always January. Went into Apple Systems Preference but cannot change the month. Clicking on the date just spins it to 31 and starts at 1 without moving the month.
On the Calendar in the preference it shows the correct day 4 month Juned and Year but above that in the smaill window it shows 04/01/2012.

Do you have "set time automatically" checked in System Preferences? Otherwise:

I received an iPhone 5, when I turned it on it activated itself to the wrong number. Now the iPhone 5 I received two weeks ago has no service and I'm being told by Verizon that I can't deactivate this new phone for 24 hours. I was told I need a new SIM card, which is not available, or wait until the phone has been use for a day. Now two phones are out of service. Why did the phone not ask me before activitating itself and why can't Apple let Verizon change the number?

If you bought the phone on the Apple store app for the Ipad, it automatically fills in your Ipad's telephone number for Verizon. You can call Verizon to switch the telephone numbers but the upgrade your qualified for stays the Ipad and you are now in contract with it for the next 2 years. The good news you can still get an upgrade through phone. Well, at least in my case. I was told the same thing by Verizon that I would have to wait 24hrs to activate my phone however, the Apple retail store employees were able to give me a new sim card so I could activate my Iphone 5 that day. I hope this helps.

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID.
