Callers Can't Hear Me on Multiple Bluetooth Headsets

After getting tired of having my corded headphones ripped out of my ears when they get snagged on doorknobs I broke down and bought a wireless Bluetooth headphones (a Samsung Circle).
I was able to pair it with no issue.
I could hear music fine.
I could stream Sirius XM.
I could voice-to-text with no issue.
I could voice-to-text (email) with no issue.
I could voice-to-text (Facebook Messenger) with no issue.
I could talk to Siri with no issue.
However, when I was trying to talk on the phone, the person on the other side could NOT hear me, but I could hear them.
I dismissed this as a faulty headphones and returned it to Best Buy. I got a different one, a different brand and everything. Got the exact same result.
This is ridiculous. So I tried my Plantronics bluetooth headset which worked in the past. Now THAT ONE isn't working. I can hear callers, but they can't hear me. So that's three different Bluetooth headsets.
My earbuds work fine.
My speakerphone works fine.
The standard iPhone handset works fine.
The problem is isolated to Bluetooth headsets (single ear and double), while using the phone... people just can't hear me. I tried muting/unmuting and that didn't work either. I can click back and forth between the speaker and iPhone and they work fine, but I switch to the Bluetooth and nothing. No one can hear me.
I have an iPhone 5s running 8.1.3. I tried restarted, synching, deleting all the Bluetooth connections and rediscovering them ... nothing.

I've had this same problem for a while now. iPhone 5s on Verizon, and same issue with Blueant, Jabra, and Plantronics headsets.
Sometimes the people on the other end can hear me, most of the time not. I can always hear them.
I had the Blueant headset for a while and it worked fine. It was just a cheap one to keep me going until I got another one. Got the Jabra Supreme, it worked fine for a while but then started intermittently not transmitting my voice to the listener. I can hear them fine but they can't hear me. Thought it was the headset, so got the Plantronics Voyager Edge bluetooth headset but same issue. Can't figure out if it was concurrent with a system update or not that the problem manifested itself, but it wasn't apparent from the getgo, so it started sometime after I'd been using the phone with headset for a while.
I'm glad (but sorry) to read that your wiping the device didn't make a difference as I was just about to try that, but don't want to do so if it's not going to make a difference.
Just updated to 8.3 today, so hoping that maybe something will be different. Charging up all 3 headsets now in hopes that problem will be miraculously gone.
No one seems to have a clue as to why this is, what could be causing it, and what to do about it. Frustrating to say the least. I had a Plantronics with my cheap old flip phone and it was fantastic. I used it for business every day. Now I'm relegated to using the speaker phone on the iPhone until I can get this figured out.

After 1 or 2 reboot system I managed was enter my MacBook Pro my AppleID and it is connected I managed so to have the flow of "Stream Photo" from my iPhone 4 S to my iPad 2 on the MacBook. But incomprehensible how the function "find my Mac" not recognize the MacBook Pro in "iCloud.com" or App in the iPhone 4 / iPad 2. Thus I do little "see the iMac, iPhone 4 and my iPad 2" and not the Macbook Pro !?!

  • IOS5 on iphone 4 - Callers can't hear me!

    Hi,
I had just installed iOS5 on my iphone 4 recently. All was working fine but now suddenly my callers can't hear me on the phone but I can hear them very clearly. The same happens when I plug in the earphones too. The microphone in the phone is working cos I have tried and I can still record voice memos.
It seems like the phone is on constant mute. Can anyone help? Thank you!
    Ling

I'm having the same problem with my iPhone4 S.  First, I'll dial out and the I hear absolute silence but my phone indicates that it's sucessfully calling out (oh...and the party on th other line can hear me but I can't hear them).  I thought my phone wasn't connecting to the caller.  I'll call again and but this time the callers cannot hear me but I can hear them perfectly.  I hang up and make repeated attempts and then reset my phone.  It works but then I have the same problem with my next call.  I don't want to reset my phone before every call! Very, very irritating.
Is anyone else having these specific problems???

  • Can someone please recommend a Plantronics bluetooth headset for SPA525G2

Can someone please recommend a Plantronics bluetooth headset for SPA525G2

    Hi Juan,
He is a link to Plantronics website with a list of headsets they support with the SPA525G's.
    http://www.plantronics.com/us/configurator/default.jsp?use=Deskphone&wl=&ec=&sl=&spn=&skb=&sds=
The Voyager Legend looks like that may be a good option. Plantronics supports this headset with Bluetooth and as long as you the right phone load with Bluetooth enabled, then you should not have any issues.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Chris

  • HT3563 can I connect more than one bluetooth headset to my imac?

Can I connecy more than one bluetooth headset to my imac?
    Thanks

I have a Plantronics 975 earpiece that works very well with my Razr.  I
just got a Panasonic KX-TG7873S phone system for my home, it has a
"Link-to-Cell" cellular convergence solution, from what I understand it is
just Bluetooth enabled.  I have paired both device with my Razr.  In
settings, Bluetooth setting, both device show.  But only one device can
connect at a time.  If my Plantronics is connected and I choose the
Panasonic device, the Plantronics device disconnects and the Panasonic
device then says it is connected.  Both devices work when they
are connected.  Is it because they are both "headsets"?
So, to have to remember to connect to one or the other device, depending on
weather I am coming or going is not practical.

  • IPhone 5c with iOS 7.0.2 callers can't hear me!

Ok so I got the 5c and all was fine until I updated it to 7.0.2. Now when I am in a call people can bearly hear me. I have completely restored the phone but it is still the same. It must be a software issue as I have realised that if you cover the small hole on the rear by camera people can then hear me. Seems others may too have the same problem?
    Is there another update due?
    Thanks Darren

I upgraded from a 4S to a 5C and didn't realize that I was holding the new phone differently. In my situation, my little finger would cover the microphone (on the bottom near the ear jack) during my calls. I had no idea I was the cause for my callers not hearing me. If you're reading this it's because you have tried everything. You might as well try this too. :-)

  • CALLERS CAN'T HEAR ME - AND I'M NOT PUSHING 'MUTE'

Frequently when I answer or make a call on my Droid X the person on the other end can not hear me.  I can hear them, but they can not hear me.
I just replied to a recent post of someone having the same problem, but just realized the post was marked 'answered' so no one would probably look at it.  The link posted in the 'answer' does not work, however, so I'm re-posting my question here....
The problem happens without warning and not on every call...and I am NOT pushing the mute button by mistake. I have taken out the battery many times which will fix the problem temporarily.  I contacted Verizon yesterday and the tech said something about the 4G and 3G signals being changed....she had to 'reset' something, after which she told me to call *228 to re-program my phone.  It worked for less than 24 hours, and today, it happened again - twice.  I had to pull the battery out for a few minutes and then restart the phone.  It seems to go less time fixed in-between the battery resets.
The Verizon tech said I could get a replacement re-furbished phone - but I have read online so many problems with refurbished phones.  I am hesitant to reload all the apps and settings on to another problem phone.
When I call customer service they act like I am the only customer with the problem.  I've done a google search of the issue and have found MANY with the same problem, but NO solutions or reason for the problem.   I've spent a lot of time with customer service and they are shooting in the dark it seems - with no real idea of the problem or how to correct it.  Does anyone know of the cause and/or a REAL fix to the problem??

That's true Koosh that is Unless some little Varmint Went into that Phone and put the 4G in there b33

  • Callers can barely hear me when making a phone call

    Hello!
For the last 3 days, whenever I am talking on the phone the other person says they can barely hear me, that my voice is too low. My volume during calls is at the maximum and I haven't changed any settings.
Can someone please help? I have no idea whats happening!
    Thanks,
    Rosin
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Try rebooting your phone (which I recommend doing once a month even if it's running properly). Press and hold the power button until you see 'BlackBerry' on your screen, ignoring anything you see before that. It should take about 20 seconds. Once it's rebooted, try a call and post back with your results.
    Cheers.
    - If my response has helped you, please click "Options" beside my post and mark it as solved. Clicking the "thumbs up" icon near the bottom of my response would also be appreciated.

  • Using Multiple Bluetooth Headsets With the iPhone

I have a jawbone 2 & blueant v1 bluetooth headsets both paired & working with my 3G iPhone but i dont know how to switch between them. anyone know about this?

I have to reply here. I just came over after a horrible three weeks on a new BlackBerry Bold. I've been a BB user for several years and, being a Mac user, have LOVED the way my wife's iPhone worked, especially connection and updating from her iBook.
So, when I finally gave up on the BB and got the 3G I expected some things to be the same. One of them being the way the BlackBerry would virtually 'float' between Bluetooth devices, almost seamlessly. It took a while to get it working, but finally got it.
I have a Jabra BT500 earpiece, BlueAnt ST3 speakerphone in my car, and a Motorola Bluetooth device that adds my iPhone to the cordless phone network in my home.
The trick is to PAIR EACH DEVICE as if it were the ONLY DEVICE CONNECTED. DO NOT UNPAIR the first device and move on to device #2. Enter the code, let it PAIR and move on to device #3 doing the same. Once you've done all of your devices, you simply move 'into the zone' of each one and they should connect.
The Jabra, obviously, had to be turned on, but paired immediately. The BlueAnt ST3 turns on when it senses movement in the car, i.e. opening the door, etc. Once it's on, it pairs immediately. When I get home and are out of my car, I place the iPhone near the Motorola device and my cell number is now part of my home cordless system.
If I look at the Bluetooth setup in the general prefs, it shows all three devices as being paired. PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN!!! IT ALL WORKS!!!

  • After iOS 5 update callers can't hear me

I have an AT&T iphone 4 that was working great before the update. After searching online I found someone who suggested turning the speaker on and off, that worked a couple of times, but now no one can hear me. I went to AT&T and they hadn't heard of the problem and had me call the 1-800-my-iphone number. There they had me restore the phone which worked at first, but after I reloaded my contacts, the same issue again.  I have tried the restore again and no luck. Anyone else having this problem? I hoped the new update might help this, but no. My husband is starting to hate my iPhone. Please help!

  • IPhone 4 Mic Problem - Receivers and/or callers can't hear me

    Hi everyone
I'm using iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1. I've noticed lately (not sure since which software updates) that my phone sometimes wouldn't be able to hear the person on the other side (the caller when they called me or the receiver when I called them). I have to turn the power off and back on to be able to hear again. And sometimes it takes more than one time reboot to get it back.
Yes, I did drop the phone numerous times and I suspect this is the cause? I've done some googling myself and found some options to 'fix' the screw next to camera. But problem is, I don't see any screw near the camera. So I'm guessing that wasn't for iPhone 4? I don't know!
Is this common problem in iPhones or just mine (and very few others)? Has anyone found the solution? If you do please share.
    Thanks
    Edahani

  • Can't hear playback for multiple audio tracks

    Hi there!,
So I was mixing several audio tracks (6) with fade ins/outs and had locked them down. I had saved my project and the next time I opened it - only my first track played while the rest of the tracks didn't. The other audio tracks on the other hand do show volume levels and that it is "playing" in the meter - but no audio. How can I get them all to play?
I know it's not an overload problem (playhead is white) I've recently unlocked the tracks and changed my preferences to "minimun delay when playing instruments live" but - I still can't get them all to play. . .if you could please help, I'd appreciate it! ::smiles::

nevermind! it was the DUCKING feature. . . Control>Ducking
    muahahaha.
