Callers cant hear me when they call me --- Please help

for some reason anyone who calls me they cant hear me but I can hear them .. can anyone help ?

Callers can't hear me when i make a call AND when someone calls me
When i plug my headphones to losten to music, he sound is very bad (it's like *****) but the iPhone's speakers are working very good.
I made the full restore.
What's the problem??

You will need to return the phone to the US. iPhone warranty is only good in the country of purchase, with the exception of the EU.

I have never had this problem but I might know how to fix it. First, turn up the volume or get somewere with a good connection. If that doesn't work, then get ios 5.1

Still sounds like the mic to me. There are 2 on an iPhone 4 one on the top of the phone one under, each has a separate task. Sounds to me like your top mic is on the blink.

Lingling28, I want your friends to be able to hear your lovely voice when they talk to you! Is this happening on all your calls or calls in a certain area? Dial *228 option 2 and reboot your phone. While on a call, verify the call audio is all the way turned up by using the side volume keys. Also, if you have a case, make sure it is not covering the microphone. Try taking it off completely.

IPhone 3G not playing music/can't hear people when they call.

I have an iPhone 3G on the 3.1.2 OS, never jailbroken and no sort of drops or damage to it. Whenever I try to use the iPod function the "Play" button on the bottom of the screen flashes from Pause to Play and it just gets stuck like that. In addition to this my phone seems to not play voicemails nor will it allow me to hear incoming or outgoing calls. When it is taken off silent the phone makes no noise upon incoming calls/text messages. I have tried hard resetting(holding the home button + power/sleep) MULTIPLE times in a row to no avail, I have also restored the phone and once even gone so far as to set it up as a new phone. I don't know how but after about 5 or 6(sometimes more) hard resets it will work but that is just for a very short time. Any ideas/tips?

Personally I'm surprised that after reading "hundreds of thousands" of posts that you'd have time to check out details after 5 (or sometimes 6) resets of your iPhone about small details like this....
Be you one o' they 'Trolls' by any chance?
Just curious (being Restless, Foolish, and having too little energy for time-wasters, you understand?)....
If your 'resets' (if that is what they are - there is a difference between 'power-off'/'power-on' and 'reset') haven't worked AND your carrier has no assistance (if you've checked) then you're probably on your own.....

How do i change my settings to have poeple hear ringing when they call me instead of a message?

When poeple call my phone, they hear a message instead of just regular ringing. How do i change that to ensure they hear just the original phone ring?

People hear a message instead of ringing only when the call goes directly to voicemail. That means it's turned off, in Airplane Mode, call forwarded to a message machine or out of a signal area.

Thank you for sharing your audio concern with your iPhone 4S! As your wireless provider, we want to make sure that you are able to get the maximum usage out of your device! I would like to partner with you so we can get this issue resolved once and for all! May I ask is there any physical or liquid damage on the device? Also, what software version do you have on the phone? Below are some steps to try to resolve the audio issues.
Turn off bluetooth and wifi in the Settings Menu.
Verify that the headset jack is clean.
Adjust the volume from the Settings menu. (Settings > Sounds > Ringer and Alerts)
Confirm that "Change with Buttons" is on.
Perform a soft reset by pressing & holding the home key & the sleep/wake key for 10 seconds.
Once you have tried these steps then please retest to see if the audio has returned to the device. I would also like to suggest test the device on speaker phone and with a wired earpiece as well. If the issue persist then please advise of any changes as all new information may prove to be beneficial in achieving a resolution.

Why can't people hear me when I answer the phone?

I've been having the SAME problem. I've made 2 trips to the "Genius" bar and they can't seem to find a fix. It will work for a few minutes after I do a software restore and then *poof* suddenly stop working altogether. Nobody can hear me although I hear them perfectly fine... and it doesn't matter where I am or if I'm on bluetooth, speaker phone, iPhone, etc. I am frustrated along with you Kathiem.

My colon/semicolon and apostrophe only work when they want to =[ please help!

They only work when they want to. The keys starting doing it about a year after I got the Mac. Please let me know what can be done.

It sounds like your Volume buttons aren't working correctly and you are also not getting sound from your built in speaker. I would start by quitting all the running apps on your phone:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
