Calling a BI Publisher report from a dynamic action

Greetings,
I am working with Apex 4.1.0. I have created a BI Publisher query and layout and defined them in the Shared Components for my application. I also created a button defined as 'Download Printable Report Query'. When I press the button, everything works as expected. The page variable is passed to the report and the report prints as it should.
My question is, can I run this report using a Dynamic Action instead of a button?

All that such a button does is submit the page and branch to page zero passing in the request field something like this:
PRINT_REPORT=my_report
So, to do the same in a dynamic action, use an "execute javascript code" action with something like this in it:
location.href = 'f?p=&APP_ID.:0:&SESSION.:PRINT_REPORT=my_report';

I have a report on my page

What I want to do is to have an extra column or use the id column as a link (which says Print Report) to call an BI Publisher report. This call should pass over the id and open the report in a popup window.
For certain reasons I do not want to use the built in report queries and layouts in apex, just call the report straight for BI.
I call other BI reports in my application, but always from a button.
Help appreciated

Calling a XML Publisher report from FND_SUBMIT_REQUEST

Hi,
I need to submit a XMLP report from FND_SUBMIT_REQUEST.
The report will have say, 4 templates for 4 seperate languages.
Now, when i call the report from submit request, i need to give the name of a template that will get attached.
Does anybody have any idea which parameter in the submit request parameter list takes the name of a template?
Please let me know if anybody has any info on this.

Calling a xml publisher report from Ebs - question

Hi,
I know how to call a xml report from ebs using concurrent manager. But i want to open it from a form in application.
My situation is this:
There is a form in the payables modelue, where i search for all the invoices.
There is also a button action in this form wich take the id of the row in wich it is my position and open a rtf raport with this id.
What i need to do is to call my xml report in this button . To pass my raport the id of the row in wich i am and open my report with paramateres.
Can this be done? Has anyone tried this before?

I am first time integrating XML publisher with Jdevloper.
I need to call xml publisher report from Jdeveloper.
I followed all steps from anilpassi link for sample
its showing error while tring to open pdf file
Error:
Adobe Reader could not find 'EmpReport[1].pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged.

I tried the way suggested by Anil in the above link as well today, but still am getting the same error while openning the pdf .
Dont know why it shows error that either the file is not a supported file type or because the file is damaged.
Please suggest way to solve this error or some other way of calling xml report from OAF page.

Calling bi publisher report from apex.

good morning all,
I have a situation at hand, i want to be able to call bi publisher report from a dropdown list in apex. what i did was to create a table in the oracle db with the report name and url as columns, from apex all i did was to create a list item which queries the table a should display the report using the url. but the report is not showing properly, what do you thinl i can do.
i am using the following verion:
bi publisher: 11g (11.1.1)
apex: 4.2.1.00.08
oracle database: 11.2.0.1.0

Error publishing reports from BW

Hi,
I am facing some issues while publishing reports from BW system. I have taken care of all the settings mentioned in Integration Kit guide. We are using BOXI 3.1 SP3 OS:windows 2008 (64-bit)
The error that we are getting is:
"0000000001 An error occurred when retrieving the role metadata for YBW_BO_CONTENT_PUBLISHER. Returned with RFC code 18 and message: See RFC trace file or SAP system log for more details"
I have enabled the trace also, still not able to find the root cause.
Need help urgently. Thanks.

I have matched the auth. as per the admin guide, everything is fine with the role. I have checked the trace file logs, part of which is below:

How to call the XML Publisher Report thro Standard PO Output for Comm.

We need to call our custom report(XML Publisher Report) from the standard PO Output for Communication Report.
There is a parameter(Purchase Order Layout) in PO Output for Communication in which we can see no. of standard reports. We want to add our custom report in that list so that when we will run this standard report by selecting our custom report for Purchase Order Layout parameter, we should get the output as per our Custom report.
Since PO Output for Communication is a Java Concurrent Program, we are not able to place our custom report in the list of Purchase Order layout Parameter.

How to invoke XML publisher report from APPS 11i forms

I have a requirement in oracle application forms menu where I need to call the XML publisher report when user clicks the menu item.
I am using following two API's
fnd_request.add_layout
fnd_request.submit_request
But I am getting the error message
java.sql.SQLException: No corresponding LOB data found :SELECT L.FILE_DATA FILE_DATA.......

I have registered the report using admin responsibility and ran the reprt form SRS and completed successfully. Eeven from the forms it is submitting the request but the request completed as warning with above message. I can see the out put by clicking the View XML button but it unable to publish output.

if we create a folder in our web server which oc4j in our case.and we transfer the xml report through FTP in that folder.can we able to pick the report from that folder.

you are going to have build out a servlet that the page can call. The servlet will need to implement the supported web services to schedule a report. The schedule can include the delivery options ie to a printer. So you would create a schedule that runs the report immediately via the scheduler and then to the printer.
I dont currently have any servlet demos but the services are pretty well covered in the user docs.
check them out and give it a try, if you get stuck let me know

URGENT Printing a BI publisher report from a column link in APEX

I am developing an APEX report with a column link that will call a BI publisher report, the case is the link column in the APEX report will pass the item number to the BI publisher query.
At the moment this is what I am doing:
1- Create a hidden item on top of page zero. (e.g. PARAM1_VALUE)
2- Create a report query and a report layout (For BI Publisher) in the Shared Components. (e.g ITEM_REPORT)
3- Include the state session in the report query and reference that item in the query. (e.g. SELECT * FROM items where item_number = :PARAM1_VALUE)
4- Create an APEX report displaying orders with the item number as a link column.
5- In the Link column I set the report URL request to be "PRINT_SERVER=ITEM_REPORT".
6- In addition I set the PARAM1_VALUE to be #ITEM_NUMBER# on the link.
When I press on the link the BI publisher report prints but it doesn't display anything except the Headers, my understanding is that PARAM1_VALUE is not set with the item_number value when I press on the link and thus the query returns no results as when I remove the condition from the query i can see the report printing.
Please help as this is urgent

I opened the session and it is there with a proper value, it appears that whenever I enable the inclusion of session state in my shared components query the query returns no rows even if I am not using the item in the query.
So if my query is "SELECT * FROM items" it will display nothing, the only way to get the report data back is to untick the inclusion of the session state and remove any reference to the item from my query, then I will get the report with all my data (which is NOT what I am trying to do).

Call a BI Publisher Report URL with parameters

Is it possible to call a BI Publisher URL from a form but pass the parameters along so the report can run with the user having to fill any parameters in? If so, how do you pass the parameters in the URL? We are trying to do some Proof of Concept work on a new project and would like to introduce BI Publisher into the mix instead of using Oracle Reports.

BW - EP Connection to Publish Reports From BW

We have implemented Enterprise Portal 6, and are running BW 3.5
I have been trying set up the connection between the 2 systems, so that I can publish reports from BW to EP
SSO between EP and BW is working - I can create a BW iview, or run a BW transaction without having to sign on again to the BW server.
I have checked the RFC connection from BW to EP using transaction SM59, and it all seems to be working fine.
When I am in the Web Application Designer in BW, there appears the option to Publish to Enterprise Portal 6.0. I can see the destination that I created to point to EP, but I can't see any roles/folders etc within the portal.
I have been through all of the documents that I have found in SAPHelp on configuring the connection, but have still had no luck.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Are there some permissions that I need to set up on either BW or EP before this will work?

Thanks - I've checked the SSO to BW, and can see all of the BW reports in the BW repository in EP. My personal folders are all set up, but are empty.
