Hi - Which subscription package should I use if I want to make cheaper calls from a UK mobile in the UK, to a UK mobile being used in the USA?

For you, your UK mobile phone may already be all you want for a call to another UK mobile number.  You'd have to consult with your mobile carrier to confirm the rates for you to call another UK mobile number.  The location of that phone you call should be irrelevant to what you would pay since you are dialing a UK mobile number (again, you can confirm this with your mobile carrier), but your contact who has the UK mobile in the USA would probably be paying international roaming charges to receive your call from the UK.  Your contact traveling in the USA could be paying a lot to receive calls from anyone wihle in the USA, no matter where the call originates - the UK, in the USA, or anywhere else.
If you are trying to lessen the cost for your contact with the UK mobile receiving your call while in the USA, maybe your contact could get a Skype account and the two of you use Skype for your calls.  If your contact has an unlocked mobile phone, he/she might be able to purchase a SIM card and a prepaid mobile plan from one of the US carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, or other providers of prepaid mobile service that use SIM cards (not Verizon Wireless or Sprint).  Then you would be making a call from your UK phone to a US number.  Skype would probably be a cheaper alternative for you in that instance.  How much cheaper it is for your contact would be based on the plan he/she has on a US-based SIM and prepaid mobile plan.
Good luck!

I have the same query, my daughter is over in america and is using a UK mobile with Skype installed, she will also be using a WiFi link, but it is still saying i need to either buy credit or subscribe. I would rather subscribe as this seems cheaper, but do i subscribe to the UK package or the US package?

    Hello
    1. You have a different issue. No two issues are ever the same - too many variables.
    2. As you are both on Skype just call Skype-to-Skype. Your calls are free worldwide.
TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

Was your phone locked to T-Mobile? If so, it needs to be unlocked before you can use it here. I believe you can use it with AT&T or T-Mobile here, but you won't get 4G/LTE speeds.

  • Forwarding my unanswered calls to my mobile showing the E1 no on my mobile while i want to showing the caller mobile ID.

    hi guys,
if i have a coming call from mobile to my extension and i forwarding my unanswered calls to my mobile showing the E1 no on my mobile while i want to showing the caller mobile ID.
is the ""gateway Calling Party Selection* Originator"" configuration on cucm will solve it or no

    Hi,
Setting the Calling Party Selection to Originator will send the Original Calling party number to your provider. If your provider accepts any calling number, it is well and good.
you may also need to enable the other setting 'Redirecting Number Delivery Outbound' and Redirecting Party Transformation CSS to ensure the IP phone's number is sent to provider as a Redirecting number along with the original calling number and final called number.
Please collect 'debug isdn q931' for a test call to verify how these numbers are sent to provider.
    Thanks

  • Skype premium making free calls to the USA

    Hello everybody
I have skype premium for a month offered by Skype, and I'm wondering why am I being able to call to USA's mobiles for free. I checked on my skype account, and not a cent in being charged, although I can not call to anywhere else in the world. If I don't have any skype credits, is there any way they are charging me for those calls to the USA??
Does skype premium have that thing that I can call for free to a country I choose?? I may have chosen USA and I don't remember maybe??
I keep looking on my Account witch country I've chosen for free calls, but I can't find it..
    Thank you all
    Marina

Did you point that SkyDrive changed to OneDrive?
Did you move your OneDrive to another location or change its name?

I am curious if possibly the hotel has some sort of VOIP block on.  Have you tried Skype?  Did you talk to the hotel staff?  My husband is traveling to Milan in a couple of days and I wonder if he will run into the same issue.  He has had no problems from Istanbul but he is staying in a corporate apartment there.  If you find an answer please post back.  Thanks

  • Do I need to have a mobile contract in the USA to access iMessage ?

My son is the USA and his UK Pa you go contract has now ceased so he he has mobile number. He seems to be able to iMessage my phone via his normal "text" route but when friends try to iMessage him they are only able to contact by email/imessage.  This problem has just started this week for some reason

No. You do need an Apple ID, which is the same thing you'd set up to buy content on iTunes or stuff from the Apple store online. This doesn't cost you extra, e.g. $99 for a .Mac account, but you do need to set it up with a credit card.

  • I cant call to a mobile number since yesterday, but can receive call from the same number. I am using iphone 4s. Is there any setting error?

I can't call to a mobile number since yesterday, but still can receive call from the same number. I am using iphone 4s. Is there any setting error?

you have to make sure that CFWD Bridge Mode under the Line tab of the SPA9000 where the SPA400 is registered is set to ALL...include VMSP Bridge and XFER Bridge Mode as well..power cycle then check if you are still getting one-way audio

  • If i bought an Iphone 6 from usa (contract free,T-mobile) can i use in srilanka (outside the usa) ? and to activate it should i have t-mobile sim?

if i bought an Iphone 6 from usa (contract free,T-mobile) can i use in srilanka (outside the usa) ?
and to activate it should i have t-mobile sim ?

As Ethmoid says, it is still a CDMA phone as I told you earlier, and it will not work with t-mobile. Even if Sprint unlocked the phone, it would only unlock the GSM side for international use. They will not unlock the GSM side for domestic use in the US.

  • HT1807 in the general setting, i turned off cellular and made sure that the cellular date, enable lte and data roaming was off. if when off, i was receiving telephone calls while travelling in the usa

while travelling in the usa, i turned off cellular in settings and also made sure that the cellular data, enable lte and data roaming was off. \however, i was still receiging telephone calls

Turning off cellular data doesn't turn off the ability of the phone to make or receive phone calls. In order to do that, you'd need to put the phone in Airplane Mode.

Can I use an iPhone 6 model A1549, bought in the USA and unlocked (T-mobile SIM)  on O2 in the UK?

Brought my IPhone 6 A1549 model (unlocked Tmobile) whilst in the USA in September. I've been using it in the UK since October with absolutely no problems at all.
Im on the EE network and 4G works fine.
As for the warranty I made enquires at Apple and was told its worldwide any problems take it into any Apple store and it be repaired or Replaced.

  • Making calls outside the USA

so what is the drill on how to make calls outside the USA?
I know the iPhone 3G is GSM, so do I just get a pre-paid SIM card in whatever country and put it in?

First, tell AT&T to activate int'l roaming. Then buy an inexpensive unlocked phone. Get a pre-paid SIM card where you are roaming. Use the cheap phone with the prepaid sim card for all out going calls. Use the iPhone to screen who is trying to call you. AT&T usually charges between .99 and 1.29/minute. So you are definately better off to get another phone. The reason you have to get another phone is that the iPhone will not accept any non AT&T SIM cards.
