Calling adobe form from Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi Friends,
This is the following error, which i got when i tested my application. Calling adobe form from Web Dynpro ABAP.
WebDynpro Exception: ADS: Request start time: Tue Nov 16 14:00:22 YEKT
2010(200,101).
Can some one tell me how to solve this....

Submit button from Interactive adobe form in Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi all,
We seem to be having a problem with the 'submit' button on the Interactive Form for the Web Dynpro ABAP. The submit button is from the Web Dynpro active X or web Dynpro Native in the form designer. The submit button doesn't trigger the action in Web Dynpro. we are currently running on support pack 9 for the ABAP stack. We have Internet Explorer browser version 6. Could someone tell me if there are requirements for the IE version that will work in conjunction with a particular ABAP stack version. And, are there specific IE security settings or administrative privilages required with this version of the ABAP stack. Or, any other ideas as to why this does not seem to work.

Data node mapped to Adobe Form empty - Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi,
I've created a web dynpro component in ABAP. One of the view contains an interactive Adobe form.
Form properties : Data source and pdf source are mapped
Enabled checked
Submit action mapped to a method. This method reads the node mapped to the form.
Form Layout: Used ZCI Layout and Inserted web dynpro script (XML interface)
Dragged attributes from data view to create text fields.
Submit button used from Web dynpro native group
I could not read data from the form.
When I submit the form, data is not captured in the context.
I have used the same context for view and could save the data from the view. But from the adobe form, I cannot read the data.
Is there anything I missed. I have been on this since 2 days with no solution. I dont see any mistake but the form doesnt work.
Version: Adobe Designer : 8.1 (from market place)
SAP Netweaver 2004s SP18
Any help on this is appreciated.
P.S. Used all possible help from SDN existing posts and SAP notes.

place a button on webdynpro view it self then try.
make sure your form is working in interactive mode.
else keep this conde in modifyview method.

Problem with Table display in Adobe Form of Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi Team,
I'm trying to display a table in Adobe Print Form (not interactive). The table is bound to the context node in the Web Dynpro ABAP where the cardinality is 0:N. I get a short dump. Don't know what to do here. I'm able to display individual fields from my context successfully. Looks like something is missing when I try to display a table. Any pointers to display a data table in Adobe? Any step by step example you know of where I can find out what I did wrong? Many thanks for your time

We upgraded our system(2004S) to SP10 so that we can use the ADOBE form printing in Web Dynpro ABAP but could not apply note 1034425 because of the validity constraints in SNOTE. All the pre-requisite notes are already in the system apart from one note 1029721 which talks about supporting input helps. We don't want to use input helps in our system and cannot upgrade to SP11 because of problems with Business functionality.
Questions:
1) Is note 1034425 absolutely dependent on 1029721?
2) If NOT, can someone please correct the validity so that we can implement using SNOTE.
3) Would it be OK if we manually apply the changes specified in 1034425 without implementing 1029721?
4) If all of the above is not applicable, is there any other note which fixes the above mentioned short dump.
Your help in this matter will greatly help us in using the ADOBE services provided by SAP WDA.

Issue While printing / Previewing a Adobe form in Web Dynpro ABAP application

Dear All,
We have designed 4 different adobe forms using SFP transaction for 4 different countries in SAP system.
Every country have different terms and conditions and therefore we have placed static texts (Hardcoded text) with text in different styles. Some text is in bold, some in different font (Bold, Italic). Font and Paragraph settings of the text was done as per expected. All the forms have same font and paragraph settings.
When we Launch Web Dynpro ABAP application to open the form in Print preview or to take print, form is not getting displayed / printed as it is designed in SFP. But if you open the form in SFP, everything looks fine.
It is working fine for 3 different forms but problem with only 1 form.
Kindly guide what is the reason for this strange issue when previewed or taken print. It is very urgent.

Thanks for your responses.
We had identified the reason.
Customer has provided terms and conditions for all 4 countries in PDF document. Along with PDF, for 3 out of 4 countries customer has shared pre-prepared word document with pre aligned and justified terms and conditions as per expected outcome. We copied this text from word to Adobe form layout. It worked fine. For 1 country, customer have not shared terms and conditions in word document. Therefore we had copied text directly from adobe PDF document in to Form layout. Then this issue happened.
Solution for this issue is to, prepared a word document with expected alignment and justification of terms and conditions text . Then copied from word to adobe livecycle designer form layout. It worked fine.

How to call t-code from web dynpro ABAP application

I am new to ABAP web dynpros. I have to add a button and have to call a SAP standard t-code if user clicks on this button? How to accomplish this task? Any help or example would be appreciated.

Hi GSM,
You have to create a SAP transaction iView in your Portal, then obtain its URL in your webdynpro and call WDPortalNavigation.absolute() method.
Below are the same steps in more detail:
1) Create a SAP Transaction iView or an Internet Application Component iView (whichever you find convenient). While creating you can select whether you want to use SAP GUI for windows or SAP GUI for HTML. For the latter(GUI for HTML) ensure that your ITS is working fine and configured while creating the system in EP.
2) Open the properties of the SAP transaction iView created. In the OK code field you can give the ok code value just as you give in SAP R/3 in case you want to navigate to the second screen of SAP R/3 when you pass values from WebDynpro.
Example for the above would be say Transaction "VA03" for displaying Sales order. Suppose from Webdynpro i want to pass a parameter called "Order number" and when i click a button it should pass the order number to R/3 and skip the first screen required for inputting the sales order numbe.
It should directly go to the main display of sales order for that ordernumber.
3) Create your WebDynpro component and deploy it on the server. In your WebDynpro use the WDPortalNavigation.absolute() method and give the url of the SAP Transaction iView created as a parameter and also the required parameters that you would like to pass from WebDynpro.
4) Create a SAP WebDynpro iView in the Portal.
5) Now run the Component. It should open up your SAP Transaction iview.

Drop Downs in adobe forms using Web dynpro ABAP

Im new to this adobe forms using webdynpro abap.
In my requirement i have two drop downs on the form.
by selecting value in one drop down i have to fill corresponding values in the other drop down.
Using only WDA i know how to do this but with adobe i dnt know how and where i have
to catch the drop down value and write my code. please let me know how i can achieve this.
one more thing whatever action or events we are performing on the form where we have to place our code for this?

Validation of Adobe Form from Web Dynpro

Hi, can you please support me with the following problem:
I created an Adobe Form, which contains several mandatory fields. The Submit-button of the form is positioned in the WebDynpro-View, in which the Adobe Form is embedded, but not within the Adobe Form. I choce this way in order to avoid a useless submit button in the Adobe Form for the Offline Scenario.
(How) is it possible to do a validation check in the Adobe Form if all mandatory fields are filled by clicking the Submit button outside the Form?

Hi Thorsten,
That would be done exactly the same as checking mandatory text fields in a standard Web Dynpro application, the fact that you use an interactive form makes no difference. Whether you click on a submit button in the form or a button in the Web Dynpro, the end result is simply that the entered data is transferred to the Web Dynpro context and an action is triggered. In the action (Web Dynpro code) you can check if the data in the context is valid, e.g. mandatory fields or whatever validation you like. However, if you want to do validation in the form itself, so mandatory fields are also checked offline, you have to use scripting in the form itself.

you can't direct call report program from ABAP. Instead you can write the functionality in Function module and get the result in some internal table and that table you can show in webdynpro for ABAP using some UI element.

Value Help in Interactive Adobe Form in Web Dynpro

I have to provide a value help for certain Fields in Interactive Adobe Form using Web Dynpro ABAP. I have managed to get the Value Help Popup for the fields using Java Script in Adobe, but the problem is that whenever I select the Value from the Value Help, the selected value in not getting populated in the field....
Please let me know the solution in case any one of you come across such kind of requirement.

Search Help on Adobe Interactive Form with Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi All,
I have created Adobe Interactive Form with ZCI type and XML based interface type using Webdynpro ABAP.
I placed a text field USER_NAME on the form ( data element is linked to search help USER_COMP ).
Added Native WD UI element 'Value Help' to form to search for users and changed script
*var fieldName = "INSERT_NAME_HERE*"; to var fieldName = "USER_NAME";
The problem is that when I click on the value help button, nothing happens.
Is any more additional steps required ?

Making selective fields editable in adobe form [using web dynpro]

Hi,
I have displayed an adobe form using web dynpro application. But I have to make certain fields (not all fields) on this adobe form editable. I dont want to make this adobe form interactive because I dont have to save any data in database. The data entered in the editable fields will be saved as a pdf.
What I did so far:
1) The fields which I want as editable, I have given there type as "User entered/ optional" & for rest of the fields I have given type as "Read only".
2) In web dynpro, I have enabled the adobe
3) This is not making the fields editable.
4) If I write the following code in my webdynpro method WDDOMODIFYVIEW, then my data coming from adobe is not getting displayed even though the fields get selectively editable.

So I kept this code & I also kept the Interface type "ABAP Dictionary based".
Additionally in Webdynpro, I used adobe form generated FM to get the adobe content & passed it to the "content" parameter of my adobe component in webdynpro.

Calling Batch input from Web Dynpro - any alternatives for table updates?

Hi!
I am asked to create a screen in Web Dynpro for the GJ30 transaction (JV Cutback mapping of WBS' elements). I created a remote enabled function module which call batch input for GJ30 . Testing the Function modules direclty goes fine, but not calling the function module from WD. then I get the same error message as when I once tried to call SAP GUI from Web Dynpro ( Call transaction /submit program).
My next step is to try to create a batch input session (instead of call transaction) and run it using rsbdcsub, and then check the result of the run. But maybe this will fail of the same reason as well, and I suppose this will make the user waiting longer for the response .
I read somewhere that Web Dynpro does not support batch Input. But what can you do when there are no standard BAPI's for the update you want to do in SAP ? We are not supposed to do direct table updates.
Anyone who have struggled with the same issues and found a solution??

as BDC is calling screens and in Webdynpro ABAP you cannot use SAP GUI sceeen, you are getting short dump.

Portal dynamic iView from Web Dynpro ABAP?

I wish to use a "Dynamic iView" from a Web Dynpro ABAP application, but it appears the API is only available in Web Dynpro Java. Can this feature be used from Web Dynpro ABAP, or can this be accomplished in another way?
Scenario: I have two iViews on a page, one Web Dynpro ABAP and another iView whose source I want to change dynamically based on something a user clicks in the Web Dynpro ABAP.

So you are suggesting the WDA fires an event to a new WDJ that we would need to create that would in turn use the Dynamic iView service mentioned in that help document?
