Calling from Spain with Online number

I am thinking about getting an online number for the US, so that my friends can call me. However, if I call them using my Spanish cell, will the number appear to them as my virtual number or my Spanish number?

That depends. If you use the Skype app on a mobile phone, and you have configured Skype to use a US Online Number as Caller ID when you call your friends, the US Online Number would appear on their phones. If you use just the mobile phone with your Spanish mobile number to place the call, and not the Skype app, your Spanish number would appear on their phones (assuming you send that with your outgoing calls, and that information is passed over from your Spanish mobile network to the phones in the States).
When you purchase an Online Number, it is not automatically configured to be your Caller ID number when you call telephones from Skype. You can set that up by logging into your Skype account using the "Account" link at the top of this web page once you have that number. Go into the Caller ID settings, and select your US Online Number. You won't have to go through any verification steps, but give it a few minutes for Skype's systems to update before you call telephones with that new setting. Also make sure to log into the Skype program on a computer (not from a mobile phone or portable device like a tablet) and change the Privacy setting for Online Numbers to allow calls from anywhere. Otherwise, your friends will encounter busy signals when they try to call that number. It, like the Caller ID settings, are not automatically changed when you purchase an Online Number.

1) I needed an 'online' number to call other skypes accounts ( on their mobiles, on their computer skypes etc.,) - and also I saw the Discount you offer "US & Canada" unlimited $2.99 / month.
My kind request ( I will not be traveling outside USA) : Please allow me to have online number at a discounted rate per month ( $2.99 / month instead of $18 for 3 months).
Two problems here....
1. The Online Numbers only work to *receive* calls from telephones on your Skype account. They do nothing for calling phones.
2. There is no discount for an Online Number as you describe. They are either US$ 18/3 months, US$ 60/year, or US$ 30/year if you already have a subscription to call telephones.
If you want to receive calls from telephones and make calls to telephones in the USA, you would need two items - an Online Number in the US at the prices I listed above, and some way to pay for the calls you make from Skype to telephones in the US (Skype Credit, or the Unlimited USA & Canada subscription at US$ 2.99/month). You must have both, in order to be able to make calls to telephones as well as receive calls from telephones.
If Skype users you are calling run the Skype app on their smart phones or other devices, you would just call them on their Skype account name. This would be a free call, not requiring an Online Number or a subscription (or Skype Credit on your account). You need the subscription (or Skype Credit) only if you are calling those people at their mobile phone numbers, and only need the Online Number if you want them to be able to call you from a telephone and not from Skype.
2) transaction date is shown for my order number "626216569" says 6/19/2012 - 02:43 GMT.
My question: when this will be effective for me to call my relatives and friends who have skype ( I don't have skype so I'm getting a skype 'online' US only number ).
I hope this helps you to understand my issues - I thought my 'online' number will be ready by this evening , as I did my transaction yesterday ( but it is giving a wrong transaction date too).
I'm really confused how long to wait to get this 'online' number... and I'm very very excited about this 'online' number that I'm getting , but I don't know when I'm going to get it.
Again, you don't need to purchase anything if the people you are calling are also on Skype. Call them using their Skype name, and it is a free call.
As for what you purchased, you may want to click on the "Support" link above and file a request with Skype Support about that. I'm not a Skype employee, so I can't look into the status of your recent purchase.

Calling Tcode 'CC04' with material number as default value.

I want to call transaction 'CC04' with material number as default, i used below code but it is not woking i.e even if i pass material number to the field material , the value is not defaulted in the screen.

Call Forwarding with Online Number

Can I get skype online number and forward call to my phone in India?
As if someone calls skype online number his call can be answered at my India Mobile or Phone.
Is this possible?

I contacted Skype some months ago about this issue they said if you have a Subscription if it's covered under your subscription (for example calls to the US & Canada unlimited) and make a call on skype it will be covered.
I don't have the email or lost it somewhere as it's months old but basically that's what it says.

Help please with online number!

I ordered an online number yesterday and i had activated the called id and i had to call my job from that online number to activate my account with my job and i couldn't because the caller id was not working! i need help very quickly because i have a short time frame to do this call that i have to make from the online number and my job has to see that i am calling from that number!!! it said in my notification when i got the number that it was ready to use and that the caller id was on.....Please help as fast as you can!!! (i deactivated my number after it wasn't working because i didn't want to be charged $60 for something that i couldn't even use! but, i can reactivate it again if i can get it to work or if someone can help me!)

Receiving calls from an ex-directory number

Hi there,
A friend of mine has an ex-directory number. Every time she tries to ring my land line she is unable to get phone to ring. Any body any ideas. I've tried referencing ex-directory, call barring etc. but no luck.

It is possible that if the other person is with another line provider (sky?) there are known problems that will not allow certain numbers to be rung between different suppliers.

If I order iPhone 5s from apple with one number with upgrade can I activate with a different number?

My family account has 3 phones, phone 1 does not have an upgrade available but phone 2 does.
Can I order an iphone 5s from apples website with the number for phone 2 to get the upgrade price and then when I receive the phone activate it with phone 1's number?
I asked a Verizon representative and he says I AM ABLE to do this BUT I have been looking at "activation" videos and none of them shows any area where you enter a number to activate the phone which leads me to believe the number for the phone is predetermined. (I have never owned an iphone).
I would love a definitive answer from someone.

Yes, you can do this. When the phone comes in, you'll need to activate it on line 2 to accept the Terms and Conditions, then you can move the phone to line 1. You then would reactivate the old phone back on line 2. Keep in mind that you may have a day's worth of pro-rated data on line 2 (I'd check via MyVerizon to double-check that the data plan did, indeed, drop off when you reactivated the basic phone). Operating System Calls from APEX with Java and PL/SQL

Question about operating system calls from apex.
I created a java file which is wrapped with pl/sql like

The page is in german, but for experienced users the code on this page says everything.
In apex i have an application which calls this function with the "move" command in a sql-report region.
Let's say move c:\work1\file.txt c:\work2\file.txt
Everything works fine on one host(pc) but if i want to transfer the file from my host to another one then
i get the messgage "no access" although i have read, write access on the other host.
By the way, on both hosts i have admin rights.
Why can't i transfer the file over a network ?

I guess you are working on a Windows host. In this case Oracle processes are running as Windows services with a build-in MS system account. This account has no access to network ressources. You have two ways to get out of your windows box:
Assign Oracle services a network enabled account, e.g. domain user with local administrator privileges. (I never tried this and I don't like to recommend it.)
Use a command script for copying files and use explicite authentication within this script:-
net use \\myserver\ipc$ tiger /user:scott
copy c:\temp\xxx1 \\myserver\share\temp
copy c:\temp\xxx2 \\myserver\share\temp

European calls from Spain

I am trying to utilize skype more for my business as I have horrendous mobile phone bills. I have a rental company in Spain which attracts guests from Europe for their holidays, mainly, English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch and occasionally other nationalities. During the booking process I have the occasional call but mainly correspondence is done over the internet. When the guests are here and need to contact me they phone my movistar spanish mobile from their mobile which of course I get charged for picking up the call and when I need to contact them the rates are horrendous. The most calls I would receive and make would be whilst the guests are here mainly from June to September. I need to know what the best package would be for me. Any help would be so much appreciated. Can't call or receive calls from Skype user online...

I am using Skype from my labtop. when I want to call a friend who is online from his mobile (either iPhone or Android) he can't recieves my call as well as me can't recieve his call.

It sounds to me like there may be an issue with the mobile provider ISP. If you can only reach him from mobile to mobile over 3g/4g that is very odd. I'm guessing it's the same ISP.
That is why your friend should try setting his phone to WiFi to see if you can reach him via his ISP at home vs. the mobile provider. They may have some odd restrictions in place that is causing this type of issue.

How to make a call from calendar using a number in my calendar?

One of the few frustrating things about the iphone is how I cannot seem to find a way to dial a conference call number that is in my calendar nor dial the passcodes required for most business conference calls. In my case, I am synchronizing with Outlook Exchange. Unlike a number that appears in email being automatically "clickable," the lengthy and hard to remember 1-888 numbers and the pass codes show up as just text. Is there a workaround or an app to help with dialing into conference bridges? Otherwise, even with the power of an iPhone 4, I am still writing pass codes and numbers on napkins in the car. I also do a lot of conference calls and was so frustrated by this that I wrote an app to solve this exact issue. It queries the calendar and does pattern matching against the text in the calendar item, including the location field, and presents them so you can dial them directly. MM-SUS Scenario - BP Creation from MM with external number

Hi Gurus,
We are implementing MM-SUS scenario on landscape involving ECC 6.0 EHP5 and SRM 7.0 EHP1.
In connection with Vendor transfer from ECC to SUS, We want to achieve that ECC vendor and SUS business partner (BP) have the same number (I E: vendor 300000 in ECC has BP 300000 in SUS)
But in the tests we performed sending vendors executing on ECC tx BD14 (via PI system), SUS ever creates Business Partners with numbers from internal range in spite of we have available external number range.
Can anyone tell me if is possible or SUS is able in standard way, receive a vendor xml message and perform BP creation with the same number (XML field <PartnerID>) sended from ECC.

JCo 3.0 - RFC call from EJB with SSO

I am trying to call abap using JCo 3.0 from EJB (NW CE 1.0). I have configured destination on server with authentication method to use SAP Logon tickets. But when I call my EJB method that looks like this:

I get an exception when executing the first line of code:
Message: Exception occurred during lookup of RFC Destination RFCCallTest: No SAP logon ticket found
Category: /System/Security
Location:com.sap.security.core.server.destinations.provider.DestinationsProviderFrame.getDestinationProperties()
When I change the destination authentication method to Technical user it works well.
SSo between the servers works.
This scenarion also works when I use older JCo implementation (2.x)

Hi Bill,
I too faced the same problem for quite some time on SP9. I thought it was the adapter problem that persisted ...but it was not !!
After importing the RFC structure into XI, if the name of the imported RFC program is renamed/changed on R/3 side, then you will get the same error "lookup of binding via CPA-cache failed for AdapterType RFC, AdapterN."
So make sure that RFC program name on the R/3 side was not changed/renamed after you have imported the RFC structure into XI.
If the RFC program name had changed, make sure you reimport the RFC structure to avoid this problem.
