  • Java ,abap and XSLT mapping

    Hi all,
               can any one provide some material on java ,ABA and XSLT mapping(as i got requirement on my current project)..
    thanks in advance.

    Hi
       All mapping related links
    There is no hard and fast rule for using the mapping techniques.
    Graphical Mapping is used for simple mapping cases. When, the logic for your mapping is simple and straight forward and it does not involve any complex logic.
    Java and XSLT mapping are used when graphical mapping cannot help you and you have multilevel hierarchy structure data.
    When the choice is between Java and XSLT, XSLT is simpler than java mapping and easier. But, it has its drawbacks. One among them being that you cannot use Java APIs and Classes in it. There might be cases in your mapping when you will have to perform something like a properties file look up or a DB lookup, such scenarios are not possible in XSLT and so, when you want to use some specific Java API's you will have to go for Java Mapping.
    Java Mapping uses 2 types of parsers. DOM and SAX. DOM is easier to use with lots of classes to help you create nodes and elements, but, DOM is very processor intensive.
    SAX parser is something that parses your XML one after the other, and so is not processor intensive. But, it is not exactly easy to develop either.
    To know more about each of them please go thru the following links. And if you ask me your which is better, it depends basically on the scenario you implementing and the complexity involved. Anyways please go thru the following links:

    Hi,
    Thanks for looking into this.
    1. I have verified that the path in the zip file is correct i.e com/sap/test/stringHandler.class
    2. test1.xsl is in the root folder i.e No path.
    3. I see the Message in the stacktrace saying "Loaded Class com/sap/test/stringHandler.class " but after that I get a runtime MApping Error and it says "CLASS_NOT_FOUND".
    Can you please tell me why is this happening?
    Thanks

  • Java enhancement in XSLT mapping in PI 7.1 and JDK5 XML processing

    Hi,
    I am implementing an XSLT mapping and I need to use java enhancements. I got those working but only if I check "Use SAP XML Toolkit" from Operation Mapping. I would like to use JDK5 XML processing.
    I also got this message to trace:
    Resource not found: META-INF/services/javax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory
    Thrown:
    com.sap.aii.ib.server.mapping.execution.MappingClassNotFoundException: META-INF/services/javax.xml.parsers.saxparserfactory
    I tried to use com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl but still couldn't get java enhancement working.
    Is there a way to get JDK5 XML processing working with java enhancements?

    > Is there a way to get JDK5 XML processing working with java enhancements?
    No. Java processing inside XSLT is no standard. So it works only with SAP lib.

  • Newbie Help: Calling Java function from XSLT

    Hi everyone!
    I am trying to call a java function from my XSL file. like...
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
        xmlns:java="http://xml.apache.org/xslt/java"
        xmlns:fn="http://www.my.com/xslt"
        exclude-result-prefixes="java fn">
    <xsl:variable name="embeddedpic"
    select="formData/instance/EmployeePicture" />
    <xsl:variable name="pic" select="fn:com.my.utils.ConversionUtils.base64DecodeString($embeddedpic)"/>I am getting this exception in calling the above java function from my XSLT (XalanXPathException: The function number 'http://xml.apache.org/xslt/java:com.my.utils.ConversionUtils.base64DecodeString' is not available.)I have the function lib file in my classpath but still i am getting this error. Any info is highly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Try this.
    <?xml version="1.0" ?>
    <xsl:transform version="1.0" xmlns:fn="com.my.utils" >
    <xsl:variable name="pic" select="fn:ConversionUtils.base64DecodeString($embeddedpic)"/>
    etc.
    as long as your code is in the classpath it should find it.
    Henock.

  • Is it possible to call Java functions from XSLT, using standard Java 6?

    I have seen examples, but the examples are always the most simple case, which even I can already get working. The case where no arguments are passed to the java function.
    As soon as I try to pass an argument to the java function, i get a stupid unhelpful error message (as always error messages are unhelpful).
    Or am I wasting my time using the standard provided java parser, and need to use apache or something?
    anyone who can provide me with a couple lines of working code is to me a saint!
    At the moment I am using calling a named template, and passing a param into this.
    I want to use this param as an argument in the Java function.
    Is this possible?
    example code:
         <xsl:template name="calc-age">
              <xsl:param name="dob"/>
         <xsl:variable name="sdob" select="java:lang.String.new($dob)"/>
         <xsl:value-of select="java:toString($sdob)"/>
         </xsl:template>

    I have fixed it.
    I had to call an xslt 1 function 'string' on the variable before passing it into the java function (see below).
         <xsl:template name="calc-age">
              <xsl:param name="dob"/>
              I know that the value of the param is: <xsl:value-of select="$dob"/><br/>
             <xsl:variable name="poo" select="$dob"/>
             <xsl:variable name="sdob" select="java:lang.String.new(string($poo))"/>
             And here again, we try to print a variable<xsl:value-of select="$poo"/>                <br/>
             And here again, we try to print the result of the java call<xsl:value-of select="java:toString($sdob)"/>      <br/>
             and here is our variable sdob    <xsl:value-of select="$sdob"/>
         </xsl:template>          Now this is APPARENTLY a xslt-1 function,
    but the reference I had been using for this is
    http://www.w3schools.com/xpath/xpath_functions.asp it is linked to by a reference that calls these xslt-2 functions.
    Maybe they are mixed xslt-1 and xslt-2 functions?
    How am I supposed to know?
    Where is a good (plain and simple, easy to read) reference for xsl, so i know which functions are which?
    Anyone got a good answer to that question?

  • How to call java code from xslt.

  • XSLT Mapping with Java class not working in Integration Repository

    Hi,
    I have an XSLT mapping program with Java enhancement and I was able to successfully tested it in Stylus Studio. However, when I imported the Java class and the xslt program in Enterprise Service Builder and tested it, my program does not compile.
    Here is the error message: "Transformer Configuration Exception occurred when loading XSLT mapping_temp.xsl; details: Could not compile stylesheet".
    My java program is in a zip file containing SOAPHeaderHandler.java and SOAPHeaderhandler.class. My Java has a package com.nga.xslt.
    Here is the declaration of my Java class in the XSLT: xmlns:javamap="java:com.nga.xslt.SOAPHeaderHandler"
    It seems that it could not read the java class. Can you please advice what is wrong?

    Hi ,
    select XMLTOOLKIT option in Operation mapping and execute it.
    I am not sure we can call java program in XSLT Program,but alternative is copy the code and use it in XSLT mapping it self,that means your XSLT program will become with JAVA extensions.
    then in Operation mapping level select SAPXMLTOOL kit option and execute it. i hope it will work. if it is not working then you have deploy some JAXP files on server,because the way execution of XSLT Mpaping program got changed,like when eve you executing XSLT with extnasions( if you are not using XMLTOOL kit option) then you have to use latest version of JAXP.JDK files.

  • XSLT Mapping with Java Enhancement

    Hi All
    I am working on XSLT Mapping with Java Enhancement.
    To do this scenario i have followed the following link.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/55/7ef3003fc411d6b1f700508b5d5211/frameset.htm
    As per the above link I have created Source and Target Data Types , Message Types , Mesage Interfaces, XSLT Mapping (using the transaction XSLT_TOOL) and Interface Mapping part and configred a simple file to file scenario in the ID part.
    Apart from this I have wirte the java code, compile the java code, create the jar file using .java and .class file and after creating the jar file import the .jar file in the imported archive of the IR..
    when I am trying to execute the scenario I am getting the successful message in SXMB_MONI but the target file is having the payload as given below.
    <?xml version ="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <name xmlns:javamap="java:com.company.group.MappingClass"/>
    And as per the XSLT mapping the payload should be as below
    <?xml version ="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <person>
    <name>Rinku Gangwani</name>
    </person>
    I have also followed the following blog link but still i am getting the same issue
    /people/pooja.pandey/blog/2005/06/27/xslt-mapping-with-java-enhancement-for-beginners
    could you please tell me what can be the reason that i am getting the blank targt field values in the payload.
    Thanks
    Rinku Gangwani

    Hi,
      The Transaction code XSLT_TOOL for ABAP xslt mapping.But the Java Enhancement is used for normal xslt mapping which we created using Stylus Studio.You can not access the Java Enhancement in ABAP xslt mapping.
    If you want to use Java Enhancement in xslt mapping then create a xslt mapping using Stylus Studio and save the file as .xsl and zip the .xsl and import to import archive.
