Calling my friends skype, but i get connected to h...
At least 3 times out of 10 I somehow connect to my friends DAD when calling my friends skype. I dont even have his dads skype as a contact of mine, so how do I keep getting connected to him? My friend is online, but if somehow I get connected to his dad he cant accept(even tho we discovered if his dad picks up, it rings endlessly for him till he declines the call he cant actually enter)
So what is going on? Are their accounts connected? SHould he just remake a new one for us to game with to avoid this issue?

Help needed to update a 4th gen ipod touch running version 4.3.5 (8L1) to the latest 6.0 version. When I connect and try to update i keep getting a box which states that a connection error occured and I cannot update.
I have been given a new laptop for xmas which runs on windows 8, and the new itunes version (which is in itself a hurdle as I am a technophobe!) and this is all becoming a bit fustrating.
I have connected, updated and synced my iphone successfully, but just hit a brick wall on the ipod. (which incidentally maybe where this laptop will end up!!)

Let me get this straight...... I have paid for content on itunes, bought the apple devicds in order to play said content, now I have to subscribe $25 for the privilage of playing MY library content on MY other devices. Which wasn't such an issue to do before the new and improved itunes version!!
Have I got that correct. I think I cannot associate my other iOS devices with my library because I am unwilling to pay further through the nose!!!??? or am I missing something?

My iPhone 4 (iOS 5) does not get connected to Time Capsule WiFi
Well, as you can read in the title that’s my problem.Everything was ok but suddenly my iPhone 4 (iOS5) was not able to connect theWiFi Lan Created by the Time Capsule (Gen 1). The strange thing is that myMacBook Pro and my girlfriend’s iPhone 4 (iOS5) work perfectly, they getconnected to the WiFi. And the stranger thing is that the problem occurs onlyin my house, I can get connected at work, star bucks, malls, everywhere but myplace.
When I go to Settings-> Wi-Fi -> I can see my networkin the list of network available, and when I tap on it and entered the passwordit seems that it is going to get connected… but never gets connected, and nomessage is displayed.

I just downloaded Facetime on my MacBook Pro. I called my friend on his iPhone (3?) using his Facetime. Video was good both ways. I could hear him but he couldn't hear me. We had just been talking by Skype so we know the audio systems were OK. Any ideas on what to do?

Hi.. My internet and wifi are working on samsung phone and hp laptop but its not getting connected to iphone ipad, only skype is coming online rest all apps and safari show no internet connection. Got new linksys router WRT160NL , but situation same. Tried reboot, renew lease, forget network, reset network setting. Pls advice
Have you tried a simple reset of your iPod to see if that helps? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Otherwise, have you tried any of the troubleshooting mentioned in this Apple support document?

I can call facetime my contact/friend but status says "CONNECTING" but doesnt connect. what should be done to overcome/correct it.

I have just bought this expensive phone. I tried connecting to Bluetooth car kit. It gets connected but only incoming voice can be heard. No voice goes out from Iphone.
I also tried connecting to Samsung Bluetooth but the problem is same. There is only in coming communication and no out going.. But both the Blue tooth devices works fine with my Samsung SII.

When connected, the ringer would always be routed through the bluetooth and the iPhone's external speaker. When in silent mode, the iPhone would only vibrate, but I could still hear the ringer in the bluetooth.
I just bought a new Plantronics Voyager+. Now when it's connected, all sounds are routed to the earpiece - including the taps, etc. The iPhone's speaker doesn't ring at all, unless the bluetooth is disconnected or powered off. I'd really like to be able to hear both, like I was before. This is an iPhone 3G running iOS 4 (latest version, not sure what it is exactly). Haven't updated software/firmware in between bluetooths, just changed the earpiece. -

and while calling someone via skype, i dont want them to hear what im hearing on the computer such as Itunes, youtube, or whatever comes out of speaker.

i wanna listen to the music or watch youtube video during the call,
but it is almost impossible b/c my gf can hear the sound coming off the computer much louder than my actual voice.
this is not fun.You are not going to be able to run your old system from the backup on this old computer as the hardware is incompatible.
You need to get a new computer or a refurbished one. -
I am using WiFi for my laptop from the hotel room in an international location.
I have tried everything but cannot get my iPhone5 to connect to the internet from the room (where room # and name need to be entered first) OR the lobby (open WiFi).
Cell is off, Roaming is off.
I tried turning phone off, turning on with Home button pressed to reset, Forget Network and re-connect. No luck.
A friend has an iPhone 5 and it works just fine.

Hi there can anyone help me out. I have Apple TV and I am trying to connect wirelessly through a zyxel wireless hotspot gateway, I know a tad extreme but a friend had one free, anyway I can find the router but no Internet connection?
The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ... -
