Calling Options of OS

Hi,
I am working on a application FileSystem Explorer. I have used Jtree to explore the file system. I have given some right click optins i.e. Open, Open Containing Folder, Properties etc. These options are already provided to Files/Folders by OS. Can I directly call these options of OS call ? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I then have to ask, why are you using Java in the firts place??
If you want to build sole windows applications then java swing is no match for .net applications in terms of development since they use native windows controls, and building Gui applications with .net is a faster process. But if you want to build applications for more than one OS then you go for java, but that does not seem the case since you want to use the windows explorer app.
To use native os app you dont need java, and you better off with c++ since windows 32 api uses them a lot.
I think you are a bit lost here, does java portability means anything to you??

    After uploading the jabber-config.xml (EDI-BDI) on the CUCM, the call option for new user contacts started appearing but the already existing contacts in Jabber client have still no call option. Also when we add new contacts to the Jabber client, it just disappears as such. Any one faced similar issue before. Below are the details and attached jabber-config.xml and LDAP profile snap.
    We are using employeeNumber as attribute in LDAP configuration.
    CUCM - 8.5.1.15900-4
    UCCX - 8.6.3.10000-20
    Jabber for windows - 9.7.0 (Tried with earlier version of jabber as well)

    Just right click on the contacts which do not have the call option and select view profile, then see if those contacts that are added are they from the Outlook or the AD, if its AD then they will have a contact number and as such they will have the Call Option enabled.
    If they are from outlook then delete the users and readd them by checking the view profile option to verify they are being pulled from AD.
    Also if i assumed the issue differently then what it is please explain the whole scenario.
    Note-: In case of J4W it will not connect to the directory using the LDAP profile info, it automatically verified and cnnects to the domain using your login creds.

    As stated in my first reply to the original poster, when the selected contact is offline the video call button is grayed out and won't function. When the contact's status becomes online, the button will become bright green and clickable.

    Hi, have an n95/win xp/ service pack 2/pcsuite 7.1.40.6/BT & USB
    I used to be able to use the call option , but now for some unknown reason, its greyed out. All the other features work - but not the call function.
    The only change I've made recently was to add BT; maybe this has upset something? However I've re-installed PC software and cant seem to figure out what might be wrong.
    Would anyone have an ide what might be the problem?

  • No "End + Answer" or "Merge" calls  options on Verizon iPhone???

    Hello,
    I had the iPhone 4 on AT&T, but recently switched to the Verizon version. There are several major problems that I have noticed:
    1) When on a call, there is no "End + Answer" button when a new call comes through. The only buttons are "Ignore" and "Hold + Answer". This is a MAJOR problem for me right now
    2) When on a call and I use the "Hold + Answer" button, there is no "Merge" calls option. How can this be possible?
    3) On the Phone settings, there is no easy way to forward calls like on the AT&T version.
    Any help is GREATLY appreciated as I am ready to switch back.

    This is obvsiously a response to and old post, but I just compared the difference between the call functions on the Verizon iPhone 4S and the AT&T iPhone 4.  For Verizon, when someone is talking on the phone, and another person calls, your only options are to Ignore, Hold Call and Answer, or End.  The first two operate the same on both each type of phone.  The "End" function on the Verizon ends the current conversation, and waits for the new call to be rereceived.  That's not exactly a technical term, but what happens is that all phone calls end (the screen actually goes back to the phone app recent call screen or keypad), and the 2nd call that was received rerings the phone.  The person calling the phone hears a normal ringing tone with the intermittent beeps that signals the other person is on the other line.  I hope this makes sense to you.  When someone calls the AT&T phone, the options are Ignore, Hold Call and Answer, and End Call and Answer.  If you select the End Call and Answer, the phone immediately ends the current call and changes to the new call.  Interesting difference, particularly when compared side-by-side, or when an AT&T iPhone user tries to help a Verizon iPhone user.  Have fun figuring out why this exists and who is to blame!

  • IPhone Cellular Calls option is missing on iPhone 5, iOS 8

    Hello everyone,
    I upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 and discovered that the option “iPhone Cellular Calls” in Settings > FaceTime is missing. It should be there, as the iPhone 5 is among the devices that support that feature. The Handoff option (General > Handhoff & Suggested Apps) is there as normal.
    I phoned Apple and they suggested me to install iOS 8 again. I did it several times, configuring my iPhone as a new device too, without success: the option is still not there. My wife has got an iPhone 5c and that option was visible and on from the very beginning after upgrading to iOS 8.
    Anyone with the same issue?

    Could you have a look today whether or not “iCloud Drive” is active on your mother’s devices?
    Should “iCloud Drive” play no role in this matter, I think this could be the description of what happens:
    A device with iOS 8 will show no Continuity options if it is not compatible with them (see my wife’s iPad).
    If it is compatible, it will show “Handoff” while “iPhone Cellular Calls” will only be shown if it detects by Apple that its owner has got another one or more devices with the latest OS, that are registered with the same Apple ID. It will not check if the other devices are “active” (in the same network, for instance) or if they are effectively compatible with the new features. That would explain why my wife’s iPhone is showing the “iPhone Cellular Calls” option even if she cannot use it (because her iPad, running iOS 8, is not compatible with Continuity at all). A bit inconsistent (because Handoff should at least be treated the same way) but plausible.
    Anyway, let’s wait and see what you find out today with your mother’s devices…

    You can't use Call Fix up for Multiple counter plan, I feel.

    As I said, the backup that iTunes makes does not include apps (and music) if those items where not in the iTunes library on the computer on which you restored they will not be on the iPod.

    This says that if enable a second call from the same person within 3 mins will not be silenced.
    What does this mean.

    Please explain what you mean by "second incoming call not received". Do you mean that if you are on a call and another call comes in to your phone you do not have the option of seeing it or answering it?
    This means that when you terminate the call to the Iphone user within say less than 3 mins you get to hear the annoucement that your phone you are trying to reach is out of network coverage area....
    And then you try third call it matures....

    So I recently got a light set for my everyday use, it's the Nokia 101 with 6.65FW installed...
    Now I'm confused as I cannot find the "SUMMARY AFTER CALL" option anywhere on the phone !
    For those who don't know what it is, it shows how long was the call made, in other words the call's duration after the call has been ended.
    Does anyone else see the option on their sets?

    from memory the 101 runs on Series 30 operating system, which doesn't have the Summary After Call option available. I too found it didn't have this setting, when i looked on my 1616 which is also a Series 30 Nokia phone. There's nothing anyone can do about this lack of feature.

    When I receive a phone call on my 5C, some calls it gives me the option to decline the call but most calls it does not. It's really annoying!! I don't want to answer the phone sometimes and I can't "decline" the call.

    But what is wired is on some calls the "decline" option is there when I am receiving the call. But most calls it doesn't give that option. Why?
