Calling oracle Apps Webservice required web security

hello all,
am trying to call a web service which is deployed on oracle E-Business suit 12, from SOA11g, what excatly am trying to do is this, from databse adapter which will load a data from other applications connected to a mediator and the mediator pass the parameters to a webservice installed on Apps server, but in the SOAP header i have to add a WS-S (Web Services Security), this is my point i cant add this or i tried but i fail,
could any one please point me to how add the security (user name and password) to the soap header, or help me in this.

After increasing sync-time-out and global transaction time out to 1800. Issue is still reported.
We are not using the jdbc pool.
Still not sure what we are missing here and running into this:
WSIFInvocationHandler::invoke> invoke failed
org.collaxa.thirdparty.apache.wsif.WSIFException: exception during SOAP invoke: Timed out; nested
exception is:
javax.xml.rpc.soap.SOAPFaultException: Timed out
In addition:
========
Tested calling this PL/SQL API (exactly the same API CALLED in BPEL) in TOAD and this ran for 20 mts in DB.
With the changes(sync-time-out,global transaction time,hpptd.conf, and transaction-manager.xml ) in SOA configuration then we are getting the exception ..
So, we need help with SOA configuration to get the BPEL service working when the API called within BPEL service is taking approximately 20 mts.

  • Oracle Apps roles in BO security

    Hi,
    I need help in understanding if we can import and use Oracle Apps roles of a user in BO security directly.
    Requirement is that roles which are presnt in Oracle apps for an oracle user can directly be imported to BO.
    We are using Oracle ebiz as a source to create our DWH and than we are doing reporting on this DWH.
    We have oracle apps ebiz roles defined in erp system, the same we want to use for BO user.
    Do we have to define all the users again with there security in BO or it can be imporrted directly by any means from Oracle Apps.
    I dont know how to achieve this.
    Can somebody help?
    Regards,
    Gaurav

    You can import users from OID Oracle Internet Directory LDAP server, and in theory any LDAP v 3 LDAP directory can be used (although a limited list or most common LDAP servers are tested and supported on our product).
    You can access the LDAP plugin from the CMC > authenitcation and configure the options based on your LDAP server.
    Regards,
    Tim

  • Timeout when calling Oracle Apps Adapter API calls.

    1) Create a Oracle Apps Adapter to execute a API call that returns, in our case, customer data.
    2) Create a BPEL Which invokes this API based Adapter via. a partner link.
    Observations:
    A) Posts the following errors for calls which take ~ >5, transaction is timeout, when invoked from BPEL/ESB/SOAP UI Client.

  • Oracle apps configuration required to install oracle lite database

    Dear Experts, (I'm far from expert, but I possess enough shreds of knowledge to answer your question, so here goes. ;-) )
    1a)
    My server has Oracle version 11.1.0.6.0, but the matrix says it wants 11.1.0.7.
    I should get a warning right?
    Can I just proceed with the install, over-riding the warning?
    1b)
    If so, what is the procedure to install into the existing database?
    It wasn't obvious in the (150 page) install docs. The EBS install delivers its own ORACLE_HOME for the database. There isn't an option to install into an existing database as far I know. The installer will ask where to put the new ORACLE_HOME for the EBS database. You might get a warning if you try to install to a pre-existing ORACLE_HOME, and I don't recommend ignoring that warning. The result will either be ugly immediately or, even worse, ugly later when it's harder to figure out why. ;-)
    Do an upgrade?Won't really help. The ORACLE_HOME that's bundled with the installer usually comes with additional patches pre-installed, as well as EBS-friendly configuration options. You're much better off taking what it gives you so you can get down to the real fun of learning EBS. :-)
    Or, do regular install, but not Express/Rapid Install?I recommend doing a Vision install for learning EBS.
    Can I choose not to install the database software?Nope (unless my memory is really that bad), and there's no real benefit to doing so. All you'd save is a couple GB of disk, and as a percentage of the total install footprint of EBS, the database ORACLE_HOME is relatively tiny.

    The XML Schema is NOT required, but optional. You can still upload your XML output example in the other two fields and it works fine :-).

  • How to Open an Oracle Apps Screen from a web page

    Hi,
    We have requirement for Opening an Oracle Application screen (say sales order form) directly from a web page.
    I could get the URL of the required screen, but the URL contains an ICX_TICKET number, which is generated dynamically by Oracle Apps. So I can't use a static URL for this.
    Do you know how I can use or generate an ICX_TICKET in runtime? My user will have an active Oracle Application screen opened along with web page. He want to navigate to Oracle Apps screen from Web page. Hopes this makes the requirement more clear.
    Thanks for your time,
    Aneesh

    Hi Helios,
    I have identified a function to generate ICX_ticket. By appending this ticket, I am able to open the Oracle Apps screen. Now, is there in implication on the security side, if I go ahead this way?
    Function
    fnd_gfm.one_time_use_store(icx_sec.GetSessionCookie(CZ_CF_API.ICX_SESSION_TICKET),300,'FORMS_APPLET')
    Anyways, I am raising an SR as u suggested.
    Thank you,

    Is there any other way to capture this "Item create" information??
    "URGENT"
    /Abhishek G

    Hi,
    We are working on the 11i integrating with 12i using AIA 2.0 Artifacts.
    Initially we tried for updateItem it was in the same case, ESB not able to pick the event so we applied patch 5701472 on the R11510 playground. Then the updateItem was working end to end.
    Now we are working with createItem, again the ESB is not picking the event.
    Then we wrote a trigger to populate the event in the WF_DEFERRED table.
    So we would like to know whether we have to use any patch or not. If yes, what is the patch number?

  • Best O/S for oracle apps 11.5.10.2 in windows family

    Hi
    we are planning to implement apps 11i.
    Can you please recommend the best type of server to support Oracle application on Windows.
    For example, does Oracle App support both 64bit and 32bit or just 32bit?
    Where can i find this info.i googled but didnt got much info on this.even i searched for certification matrix in oracle support but it is not showing anything.please help me out.

    Hi,
    Can you please recommend the best type of server to support Oracle application on Windows.Are you referring to the hardware or the OS? If you are referring to the hardware, please see the following threads.

    Sizing..
    Re: Sizing..
    For the OS, you will have to go with a certified OS as per (Note: 316806.1 - Oracle Applications Installation Update Notes, Release 11i (11.5.10.2)).
    Oracle Certification Matrix contains all the details about the OS certification (select Oracle E-Business Suite, then the Windows OS and the Application release).
    For example, does Oracle App support both 64bit and 32bit or just 32bit?Please see (Note: 343917.1 - Frequently Asked Questions: Oracle E-Business Suite Support on x86-64).

  • Calling oracle API having parameter as record type throughPL/SQL WebService

    Hi All,
    I dont know whether this is the right forum to put this query, but as i am using a pl/sql web service , putting the query on this forum.
    My requirement is to call oracle API which in turh creates a single Invoice(using Ar_Invoice_Api_Pub.create_single_invoice )
    But the issue is this API in turn has some of the input parameters as Record type and table type, my concern is how to pass this data(record type or table type) as parameter thorugh java code .. If i use Collection or Hashmap will it work , I dont think so , some intermediate conversion will require.
    Subsequently the other requirement is fetch this record/table type data and return it to the java code
    Please correct me if i am wrong and suggest a proper solution if anybody is aware off or tried such things before.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Anant.

    Hi,I'm new comer of this world,
    I've a pl/sql like this:
    package MY_WS_API is
    type record_set is ref cursor;
    PROCEDURE Get_User_Info(p_user_id VARCHAR2,
    p_rep_id VARCHAR2,
    p_flag out number,
    p_msg out varchar2,
    p_recordset out record_set);
    end MY_WS_API;
    when I using jdeveloper trying to publish it as a webservice, in the step 4 of the wizzard poping me choose the program unit to expose, the PROCEDURE Get_User_Info is not available and told me "Ref cursor Type is not supported due to a jdbc limitation and Ref Cursor Types are only supported for use of return type".
    THE QUESTION is:
    1.the cursor I used is of return type,I'm not very understanding the "why not" message upon.
    2.in such case , need I trans the return cursor into Object[] if have to?
    3.any other limitation for generating WS from PL/SQL using jdeveloper?
    Thanks!

    This detailed step-by-step guide was produced with the following article by Jason Price http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/price_10gws.html

    Success!!!
    I had to grant this permissions:
    call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.lang.RuntimePermission', 'getClassLoader', '' );
    call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.lang.RuntimePermission', 'accessClassInPackage.sun.util.calendar', '' );
    call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.lang.RuntimePermission', 'setFactory', '' )
    call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.util.PropertyPermission', 'HTTPClient.socket.idleTimeout', 'write' );
    call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.net.SocketPermission', 'localhost', 'resolve' );
    call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.net.SocketPermission', '127.0.0.1:8084', 'connect,resolve' );
    As I wrote earlier, WS_TEST is my user into which I load JAX-RPC client. Note that, if you load JAX-RPC client into user another than SYS, you have NOT to use -s -grant public option (wassam wrote about this too). Another thing is that I (finally) didn't load OC4J. To consume WebService I use utl_dbws.invoke(call_Handle CALL, request SYS.XMLTYPE) function.
