Calling out to L450 owners with webcam
I am doing a modification project with a L455D.
I am looking for L450 owners with webcam built in to their laptop to see if you guys would be kind enough to give me your motherboard model #. You don't have to take it apart. All you need to do is run CPU-Z.
I am trying to determine which screen cable I need (even if my NBWAE mainboard will work). I have seen 2 different type of screen cable.
I appreciate all the help

People, lets mobilize!! all of us should flood samsung with comments or calls at the SAME TIME until they release the update. They are playing us! who is with me?? why is it that samsung is releasing a new line of phones, galaxy x 2, but they have yet to provide the software maintenance for their EXISTING phones that was promised by samsung AND verizon 8 months ago?? The fact that they are putting energy and workers into making NEW phones while the fascinate continues to be neglected DRIVES ME MAD. We have yet to even get a STATEMENT that the dl09 update BROKE THE USB MOUNT 3 MONTHS AGO with their verizon spamware that isnt compatible on mac. If you read this, lets plan to flood samsung with comments all at the same time, say tonight, tuesday march 15 at 7pm? we could flood their website or call them all at the same time to complain. The vibrant folks did this and had their update the next day! Lets organize people! Comment here if your down to flood samsung, come on what do u have to loose! lets push them against the wall!
edit: maybe not tonight, as the poster below pointed out, it would be too soon to mobilize enough people. if we can get more people commenting, we can come up with a consensus. i believe if we can pull this off we can really push samsung into a corner, we've got nothing to loose!
I am currently tweeting Samsung Galaxy S Support now, letting them know that we are not happy about the lack of update, and no news about any update from Samsung, while others are getting updates.
If you want, tweet them also.... @GalaxySsupport
The only thing I hate is when people get down right rude to them. Yes, people are frustrated, but name calling is not the answer.

Will Service call out return an exception with an object embedded in it
Hi,
I have a service callout in a request pipeline.Service will throw an exception with a custom object embedded inside the exception.When i see the response $fault in the service error handler, i dont see the object.Is this something which can be done or not?if yes then guide me through it.Hi,
If you invoke the service call out, and it returns a soap fault (make sure that it returns http 500), so you should be able to access the custom fault element inside $fault/con:details/con1:ReceivedFaultDetail/con1:detail
Are you sure that your webservice is returning the fault properly?
Are you not raising a new error after getting the response in the error handler, right?

I purchased a used 2008 iMac. And although the previous owner said he deleted all of his information, his iCloud account is still the primary. I don't have a clue about what to do about it. I signed him out and logged in with my info, but still no go. Is there any way to eliminate his iCloud account and make mine the primary without rebooting it back to factory settings? There was an update, I believe, that I couldn't install because i didn't have his password that is what made me aware that his acct. was still active. I don't know what to do. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Before buying a second-hand computer, you should have run Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test, whichever is applicable.
The first thing to do after buying the computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You—not the original owner—must do that. Changes made by Apple over the years have made this seemingly straightforward task very complex.
How you go about it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
It's unsafe, and may be unlawful, to use a computer with software installed by a previous owner.
1. If you don't own another Mac
a. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller—not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine is very old and has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
b. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for a MacBook Air. You should have received the media from the original owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To start up from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then restart the computer and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
c. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should start up in Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
d. Some 2010-2011 models shipped with OS X 10.6 and received a firmware update after 10.7 was released, enabling them to use Internet Recovery. If you have one of those models, you can't reinstall 10.6 even from the original media, and Internet Recovery will not work either without the original owner's Apple ID. In that case, contact Apple Support, or take the machine to an Apple Store or another authorized service provider to have the OS installed.
2. If you do own another Mac
If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to prepare a USB device, then start up the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can start from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
3. Partition and install OS X
a. If you see a lock screen when trying to start up from installation media or in Recovery mode, then a firmware password was set by the previous owner, or the machine was remotely locked via iCloud. You'll either have to contact the owner or take the machine to an Apple Store or another service provider to be unlocked. You may be asked for proof of ownership.
b. Launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive—not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
c. An unusual problem may arise if all the following conditions apply:
OS X 10.7 or later was installed by the previous owner
The startup volume was encrypted with FileVault
You're booted in Recovery mode (that is, not from a 10.6 installation disc)
In that case, you won't be able to unlock the volume or partition the drive without the FileVault password. Ask for guidance or see this discussion.
d. After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. If you're installing a version of OS X acquired from the App Store, you will need the Apple ID and password that you used. When the installation is done, the system will automatically restart into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
e. Run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the original owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed—you have to repurchase them.
4. Other issues
a. If the original owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're irrevocably linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Mac App Store Customer Service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
b. If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.
c. When trying to create a new iCloud account, you might get a failure message: "Account limit reached." Apple imposes a lifetime limit of three iCloud account setups per device. Erasing the device does not reset the limit. You can still use an iCloud account that was created on another device, but you won't be able to create a new one. Contact iCloud Support for more information. The setup limit doesn't apply to Apple ID accounts used for other services, such as the iTunes and Mac App Stores, or iMessage. You can create as many of those accounts as you like. -
Problems with UTL_DBWS calling out a web service.
I´m using ORACLE 10G 10.2.0 and i ´ve downloaded the dbws-callout-utility-10R2.zip utility l´ve unziped it and launched it .
the command loadjava -u SCOTT/passwd -r -v -f -genmissing dbwsclientws.jar dbwsclientdb102.jar ended without errors.
then I gave grant access using the following commands
the environment variable is

COMMIT;
call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'SCOTT', 'SYS:java.lang.RuntimePermission', 'setFactory', '' );
COMMIT;
then I created the package running UTL_DBWS .SQL scripts
when I run a test for calling out the web service I got the next error.
ORA-29532: UNCAUGHT JAVA EXCEPTION : Java.Lang.IllegalAccessException: java.lang.ExceptionLnLn

name 'oracle.jpub.runtime.dbws.DbwsProxy.createService(java.lang.String,java.lang.String) return long';
Is necessary to install the jpublisher in addition for a sucessfully web service calling out?
what goes wrong?
Thanks for the soon answer.I have exactly the same problem.
All possible grants are made.
Running as SYS is not functioning as well.
The same installation (the same jar's, the same utl_dbws version, the same database version) does function on two other (developers team's) servers .
The differences are:
Where it functions: Oracle database Enterprise edition on Windows (Windows 7, Vista)
Where it does not function: Oracle database Stadard edition on Unix
I have gone though a decent number of forums and other on-line resources with no success. Solutions available are to grant missing permissions. However these solutions are based on the assumption that under SYS user everything functions properly.
In my case, this does not function even under SYS as SYSDBA.
I will highly appreciate any recommendations!

Michail

OSB java call out with array parameters
Hi all,
I have a java call out with array parameters, follow the firm of java method:
logBody2(String category, XmlObject headerXml, String[] level, XmlObject[] xml)
The java call out have String[] and XmlObject[] arrays in intput, my question is how I can pass these arrays of values at java call out?
Thk
L.For array, comma-separated values should be passed. For e.g. -
If input parameter is of type String[] then passed values should be comma-separated strings like - 'Anuj','Dwivedi'
If input parameter is of type XmlObject[] then passed values should be comma-separated XmlObject like - <anuj/>,<dwivedi/>

How do I display call out accessories with different images?
I need some help with an app I'm developing. I'm displaying a map with an array of annotations.
I have managed to display the map & annotations successfully.
What I want to do next is have call out accessories that display different images everytime they are tapped.
Can anyone help with this? I have managed to display a right call out accessory but I'm getting stuck here & I don't know how to get my code to display images.
Any help wil be greatly appreciated!baltwo: Thanks for the tip, I didn't know how easy it was to set up custom icons in OS X. In this case it's a difficult solution because it will have to be done by hand for every single folder, which is a problem if I'm going to have these in two places. I'm new to Automator but there doesn't seem to be a way to have it; 1) Select all the folders in a directory. 2) Copy the first image in each folder to the clipboard and have it use that image as each folder's icon.
Barney-15E: I know it sounds moronic, but yes. I've tried iPhoto but it's not a very good solution in this case. My folder structure is like this:
Root -> 282 image folders with 10 to 60 pictures in each.
All I really need is the ability to see at a glance what each image folder has without opening each individual folder. The folders are numbered sequentially (1-282 in this case) rather than by proper names, so this is the most efficient way. -
I am using Sansung Galaxy S III with Verizon and when i am calling out to somebody they recieving my call as RESTRICTED CALL...
Let me know, please, how can I change settings in my phone to clear option of restricted out going calls...
Thank's a lotHi there Altercc!
We definitely want others to know when you're calling them. This could be fixed two ways.
First we have an option called Share Name ID available via vzw.com: http://bit.ly/SsGi9e
We also have the opportunity to Block your Caller ID from displaying. This is a feature we can easily remove if it's active.
Thanks,

A minor point, but it may avoid a little confusion if, instead of saying "black" in reference to the iPhone 5s, say "space gray":

ATTN Macbook owners with problems. wifi drop/moo
I've called apple several times now, about the wifi drop and moo'ing issue. They forwarded me to a higher level tech right now who heard my issues, but since they are by design wasn't able to offer any fixes. He was optimistic about apple providing a fix, and was forwarding my case # to apple engineers.
He told me that the 'feedback' link on apple's site is the most direct way to get issues like these fixed. The feedback method feeds your issues, complaints and perceptions directly to people who can do something about them. He said that it is more important to have many people leave feedback with these issues than it is to have a singular ambassador speak for all.
So, I implore you, Macbook owners with issues. PLEASE leave feedback. Currently there isn't a macbook specific feedback form, he said to use the powerbook form and indicate that you are using a macbook. The form is located here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/powerbook.html
All 3 techs of various levels i've spoken too so far appear to be generally unaware of what we are talking about here in discussions.apple.com. If we're going to spin our wheels with countless threads and replies regarding these issues, the least we can do is take the time to let apple know directly.
Thanks!
macbook 1.83ghz/2gb Transcend @ 667mhz/60gb/combo Mac OS X (10.4.6)I've reported the issue as well. I've owned every Mac laptop since the first Powerbook fifteen or so years ago and this MacBook Black is a fine machine, but as usual there are some issues that early adopters like us seem to have to endure!
Let's hope we can get a solution to get rid of that bovine sound ASAP.....!
Maybe they want us to listen to iTunes at top volume to drown it out -:) -
Snom phones in secondary subnet unable to call out - SIP CANCEL in SIP log
I've been trying to diagnose this very strange problem we are having. All our servers and some SNOM phones are in the subnet 192.168.100.0, the main building. They all work fine. Phones located in two other buildings connected with high-speed fiber use subnets
192.168.1.0 and 192.168.200.0. They can receive calls but are unable to call out. This doesn't affect the Lync 2010 and 2013 desktop clients with enterprise voice...they work fine anywhere, even externally.
We are running Lync Server 2013 Standard Edition, with the latest updates applied. Mediation role is co-located. Edge server is setup and I think I have configured everything correctly. I have two network adapters, one external facing and one internal facing.
External facing one has dns settings and gateway, internal facing has neither. I have setup persistent routes that enable the edge server to ping hosts in 1.0 and 200.0 no problem. DNS is setup internally so anyone anywhere can ping the edge server (its dns
entry is routable lync2013edge.network.domain.ca). Phones used are the SNOM 720, I have the latest updates applied (8.8.3.27 UC)
On the actual SNOM phone, I will dial 7804636201. It will call and start ringing the other party. Almost exactly 10 seconds later I will hear a busy signal and then the phone displays "Media Connectivity Failure". I ran a log on SIP from the FE
Standard Edition server, here are some entries that I noticed that may have something to do with it (see bottom four paragraphs for SIP CANCEL)

I thought it might be a timeout issue, so I tried following these steps located here:
http://ipfone.hu/lync-mediation-server-cancel-problem/ After rebooting the server no changes were noticed.
I also checked out this website
http://blog.insidelync.com/2013/04/sip-trunking-101-with-lync-server-2013/ regarding disabling the check box "enable outbound routing failover timeout". Doing that had no effect.
Any other ideas would be appreciated.Hi,
yes I see the config file is very simple and standard.
So the issue with snom on branch sites is random, it's correct?
From what I read in your answer, sometimes you can establish a correct communication between a snom and the called number +17804636201.
Have you tried to collect a network capture on a snom at branch location?
Do you have some other version of snom phone (300, 710, 821) to test?
Do you have some LPE ip-phone (Polycom CX600 o HP4110-4120) to test?

I had to grant this permissions:
call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.lang.RuntimePermission', 'getClassLoader', '' );
call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.lang.RuntimePermission', 'accessClassInPackage.sun.util.calendar', '' );
call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.lang.RuntimePermission', 'setFactory', '' )
call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.util.PropertyPermission', 'HTTPClient.socket.idleTimeout', 'write' );
call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.net.SocketPermission', 'localhost', 'resolve' );
call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.net.SocketPermission', '127.0.0.1:8084', 'connect,resolve' );
As I wrote earlier, WS_TEST is my user into which I load JAX-RPC client. Note that, if you load JAX-RPC client into user another than SYS, you have NOT to use -s -grant public option (wassam wrote about this too). Another thing is that I (finally) didn't load OC4J. To consume WebService I use utl_dbws.invoke(call_Handle CALL, request SYS.XMLTYPE) function.

Can't call out on PSTN after ethernet adapter failure in J4W
Hi all
Okay here goes.
We are currently deploying new laptops in our business. It's the brand new Lenovo X1 Carbon 2nd G. together with a USB based docking station. Unfortunately there is a very annoying bug with the docking station. The problem is that the dock ethernet NIC, suddenly disappears from time to time in Windows. This means that Jabber for Windows is failing over to the Wi-Fi network. This should be okay, but we are seeing an issue with J4W, when the ethernet NIC disappear.
The problem is that J4W can't call out to external phone numbers/PSTN, but all internal calls are working fine. Also it's possible to call from an external number/PSTN to the J4W client. But still, the J4W client can't call an external no. You will only hear a busy tone when trying to make an external call.
It doesn't help restarting the J4W client, we have to reboot the entire computer to make the client be able to call external numbers over Wi-Fi. Meaning that the ethernet NIC on the docking station, isn't reappearing after a reboot of the laptop. To make it reappear, we have to disconnect and connect the docking station cable.
Atm. we are waiting for a fix from Lenovo, but in the meantime I can't understand why we can't call external no. when the ethernet NIC fails. I mean, we can call external numbers. over Wi-Fi, but not when the ethernet NIC are failing.
Can anyone point me into the correct direction here?
Specs:
CUCM: 8.6.2.22900-9
CUP: 8.6.4.13900-4
J4W: 9.7
Gateway: Cisco 2911
OS: Windows 7 32 bit.Hello Taxi-Anne,
Welcome to the forums.
Try following the steps below to turn off the call forwarding:
1. Touch Phone.
2. Swipe down from the top of the screen.
3. Touch the Settings icon.
4. Touch Call Forwarding.
5. Touch the required option (e.g., Forward If Busy).
6. Touch Save.

Examples of 'calling a web dynpro application with parameters'
Hi!!
I'm I have been watching manual 'Web dynpro for abap: advanced concepts' in the sections 'url parameters' and 'calling a web dynpro application with parameters'.
Is there some example where these terms are seen.
Thanks in advance.Hi Ana,
a window inbound plug can have parameters.
These parameters are automatically fished out of the URL by the framework.
So your inbound plug handler method has easy access to the parameters.
URL
http://<host>:port/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/<your application>?param1=xyz¶m2=abc
The application is configured to call an inbound interface(window) and plug.
The plug can be declared with parameters.
Double click on window inbound plug and add your parameters.
The parameters are made available by framework if present in Launch URL.
You can also call an application that has parameters directly entered on the parameters tab.
ie Parameters can be part of the application launch.
regards
Phil
