Calling "PAL" (OK: 50Hz) 1080i users of Matrox MXO...

I see that neither the Apple 23" ACD (nor the Dell 2407) truly supports 50Hz at 1920x1200 (1080); which means monitoring 1080/50i is not stricly correct.
Apparently there is nothing that can be done about this, but the effects of trying to monitor 1080/50i with the MXO according to Matrox is "minor", or maybe even "not noticeable". Occasional repeated frames, I understand.
Can any real users give me an idea of their experience please?

Your understanding is correct. Here is what Matrox has to say about this issue:
"Since the majority of DVI monitors do not accept 50Hz, they don't lock to it; we decided to drive the DVI out @ 60Hz when working in PAL. If we were to send 50Hz to a monitor that did not accept a 50Hz signal, the result would be a black screen, and the client would not know why (We did a lot of testing with 50Hz). We decide to go with the lesser of the two evils, so to speak. I am looking at a software option to turn on and off a 50Hz output in a future release of our software, leave the decision up to the client."
The anomolies you see on the monitor when editing are a result of this 50Hz signal on a 60Hz monitor...and ONLY appear when looking at the footage on that monitor. They will not appear when you export to tape, or view on a PAL HD monitor. Only the LCDs.

You can use JavaScript to call the action in interest upon the Radio Button Element Being Selected.Should be simple, and if your controller is part of the portlet dont forget to use the jpfScopeId to asscoiate the controller instance with the one in the portlet.

yes that is true, ajax calls can only be made to an endpoint like aspx pages/web service, basically anything that can return a http response etc. User Control can be embedded inside of aspx pages.

1080i/29.97 timeline to Matrox MXO 2.0 to Dell 2407

Just wondering if any problems monitoring with the Matrox MXO --> Dell 2407 were universal or isolated.
Just when I was about to hit the final "Give Us Your Money Now" button on the Dell shopping cart I started finding posts (mostly in the MXO forum) about refresh rate incompatibilities with the two items. So 1:1 pixel viewing is out (?).
Is anyone having success with this setup? Is "banding" still a problem?
I believe Shane was happy with his Dell 24" but I don't know if he has a 2407 or a (discontinued) 2405, and I don't know if he's taken a second look since installing the MXO's 2.0 software.
I'm a stubborn photographer and I'm already growling at the idea of using an LCD to do color-corrections (even the best ones change contrast every time I move my head one inch). I was considering the Dell over the ACD because I heard is had much better contrast (and price), but if it's a hassle I'd just as well have the MXO downconvert to my trusty 14" SD monitor at least to do the colors.
(I'm okay with an occasional flicker)

I don't think the frame rate matters (although I hear that 1080/50 PAL is trouble); it's more about the 60 refresh rate of the Dell vs. the 59.94 rate of the MXO. Is this creating a big enough problem that the 2407 can't be used reliably to color-correct 1080 footage 1:1 with a comparable image to the ACD.
The Bare Feats guy thinks it's a better monitor, but I think he just used it as a desktop monitor, not with FCP and the MXO:

From now I see only black on monitors.
Motion 3 works perfectly. There must by some mistake in my settings FCP.
The project is PAL, and for output is setting as Matrox MXO PAL - YUV.

How to call Process Task in AD User proccess definition from Xellerate user

I have one customized process task in "Xellerate User" Process definition. When my this task executes completely, I would like to call one of the customized process task in "AD User" process definition from xellearte user. Is there any way we can do that?

There are lots of ways to accomplish this. I haven't read through the other posts, but here are a few options.
Option 1 - Create a second task that also triggers at the same time, but set the task you already have as preceding. Then on your second task, write whatever code is needed to update a field, insert a new task, whatever the function is that's needed.
Option 2 - On the completion response of your original task, just use the response code to trigger the second task from running. Then again, write whatever code is needed.
Option 3 - Create a UDF on your user form. Add this field to the Lookup.USR_PROCESS_TRIGGERS. When your first task completes, use the APIs to update this field with a new value, perhaps the current date. On your AD Process Definition, create a task with the name you used in the lookup. This task will get triggered whenever the field is updated. Now if the user does not have an AD Instance, you don't have to worry about it ever running.
I'm sure you could create other event handlers as well to do this, it just depends on how creative you want to be.

We have a BDC program for creating Invoice using "CALL TRANSACTION VF01" method. But there are are few user IDs accessing this program who do not have authorisation to VF01. So requirement is to create Invoice with a common user id.
Please help if it is possible to call transaction with different user id. Please also provide you inputs if you can suggest some other way to fulfill this requirement.

if users are not authorized to post invoice, why is it required to surpass the checks?
A Question the business should answer.
It should not be the consultants obligation to find doubtable ways.

executing the BAPI.

Hello,
I suppose you use a Trusted RFC connection in your BAPI call and not an RFC destination with a dedicated user in it.
What you can do in the source system is calling your BAPI from a background process (job).
You can change the user ID in the step of the job.
In this case trusted RFC will make sure that the BAPI is called in the target system with the user specified in the step.
If trusted RFC is not an option you can use an RFC destination with a dedicated user ID in it.

We have a requirement where we want to restrict Manual bill booking (through FB60) only for specific GL Codes.
Due to limitation in OB28 validation (without exit), we have decided to use User Exit (ZRGGBR000) where we will be doing sum of all the Line items which are on restrict GL code (we maintained the same in Account group by KDH1 and getting stored in table SETLEAF).
We are using the exit at call up point 3 i.e. at Document completion level.
While writing desired code we are getting only Last line item which is getting stored in BSEG table, please us know the coding part of the same i.e. how we have to write a code so that exit can collect inputs of all line items for the document.

You need to create a custom module pool and call its screen on a suitable place. It is not clear what exactly is your problem.
There are more possibilities:
1.) You do not know how to create a module-pool
2.) You do not know how to call its screen in popup
3.) You do not know where to place your code for calling your screen

Failed to call Engine.StartLoginLogoutCallback to display user login dialog in C# code

I'm upgrading our custom operator interface using C# running in NET 2.0. I use Microsoft Windows Forms controls for building GUI. TestStand version is 3.1. I grab TestStand Engine Class ActiveX Control from toolbox in to the form just as I did before in my VB project. In the project references list, AxTS and TS are added in. I can call TestStand API functions through the engine object, for example I can load sequence files, create property objects, get engine properties. But when I call engine's StartLoginLogoutCallback(false, true), the user login dialog is not displayed as expected. By tracing into UI message handler code, I do not see execution start and execution end UI message, which means the fontend callback sequence is not executed or is not executed properly. I doubt that calling engine's NewExecution in my code will also have problem though I haven't tested. Has anybody encountered same problem before? Thanks for any answer in advance.

I created a very simple C# Windows application with Visual Studio 2005. In the toolbox of the project I Selected "Choose Items..." context menu to display the "Choose Toolbox Items" dialog. In the "COM Components" tab of the dialog I selected "TestStand Engine Class" so that I got reference to the TestStand engine in my project. The project compiles OK, The method to login/logout is as following:
