Calling RoboHelp Air file  from C# (C sharp)

Has anyone ever called RoboHelp Air files (locally) from an application written in C#? We need help with making this type of help work in our app. We believe we will use the same calls as Web Help (is that correct).Are there any special function calls that we need to use to make it work?
We previously used a *.chm file and it worked. We want to go to Adobe Air.
We are doing context-sensitive help, and using RH9.
My developer has a 64-bit Window machine, using C#.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks - Jess

This post has information from Praful Jain (of Adobe) and a link to another relevant thread. There was a link to it in the article on my site.

As your developer is using C#, you should also look at the OLH as there is information about you being able to create the calls.
I thought there were other resources on this and am trying to find them.

  • Is there any way to call a sql file from a pl/sql block

    Hi,
    I want to call a sql file from a pl/sql block.
    the pl/sql block has an exception handler. The pl/sql block will execute the sql file and in case it throws error then the exception handler will take care of it.
    The sql file will be a master file and it will itself call other sql files.
    is it possible to call any sql file from pl/sql block ?

    When you say "sql file", what precisely do you mean? Do you have a file that has just SQL statements? Or do you have SQL*Plus scripts?
    Where are the files stored? Are they on your client machine? Or the database server?"which in turn calls other sql files" seems to imply that the answer to the first question is that you have SQL*Plus scripts. If you have SQL*Plus scripts, you need SQL*Plus to execute them. PL/SQL is running in the Oracle database, SQL*Plus is a client application. It is not practical to have PL/SQL call SQL*Plus. Since you've already ruled out the best of the bad options, it appears that the answer is no, you can't have your PL/SQL run these files.
    As Alex points out, that's probably a good thing. It sounds like your application has been designed incorrectly. If you need PL/SQL, you should be creating stored procedures and functions and calling those from PL/SQL. Having PL/SQL depend on code in flat files outside the database is not a good idea.

  • How to call a .js file from a JSP in JSPDynpage

    I need to call this .js file from my JSP in a JSPDynpage Application.
    Please help me do this..
    Regards

    Hi,
    store your js file also under the jsp folder with a .jsp extension and then call it in your jsp page by an include statement. this was found working. later you may try with changing the extension to .js and try your luck:)
    <%@ include file="set.jsp" %>

  • Call a servlet file from SSMS

    How to call a Servlet file from a Stored Procedure?

    You need to make an http request to the web server where the servlet is running. To do this you have two options:
    Using object automation stored procedures (sp_OA* procedures) to create and call MSXML2.XMLHttp COM objects.
    Create a CLR stored procedure that uses HttpWebRequest class.
    On the other side. Making web request from stored procedures is the last resort. Have you considered other alternatives to solve the bussines problem at hand?
    For example Service Broker can be an alternative for that kind of problems. The stored procedure sends a message to the queue. An external program reads messages as it arrives to the queue and process them. The external program can be written in Java and
    can run in the web server where the servlet runs.

    Maybe it is down to a pathing issue, can you try putting the full location of ESSCMD in the bat file.

  • Executing .air file from vc++

    I am currently executing an air file from vc++ by using the command "ShellExecute".
    ShellExecute(NULL,"open", fully_qualified_file_name, NULL,NULL, SW_ShowNormal);
    The above is working fine.
    But my problem is that
    "I don't want to show the setup window to user"
    I want setup should be run in silent mode so I tried with "-silent" parameter but It did not worked.
    My Problem:
    1. How to hide the setup screen from user.
    2. Because I am hiding the setup screen from user. I want that the destination folder should also be specified by paramaters of ShellExecute command.
    Actually I am taking the destination folder in C library. I want my application should be install at the location where my C library wants.

  • I need to call a batch file from java and pass arguments to that Batch file

    Hi,
    I need to call a batch file from java and pass arguments to that Batch file.
    For example say: The batch file(test.bat) contains this command: mkdir
    I need to pass the name of the directory to the batch file as an argument from My Java program.
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd /c start test.bat");
    How to pass argument to the .bat file from Java now ?
    regards,
    Krish
    Edited by: Krish4Java on Oct 17, 2007 2:47 PM

    Hi Turing,
    I am able to pass the argument directly but unable to pass as a String.
    For example:
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd /c start test.bat sample ");
    When I pass it as a value sample, I am able to receive this value sample in the batch file. Do you know how to pass a String ?
    String s1="sample";
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd /c start test.bat s1 ");
    s1 gets passed here instead of value sample to the batch file.
    Pls let me know if you have a solution.
    Thanks,
    Krish
