Calling search Help with parameter/

I have selection-screen as follows
PARAMETERS : p_bukrs1 TYPE bukrs ,
p_kostl1 TYPE kostl .
PARAMETERS : p_bukrs2 TYPE bukrs ,
p_kostl2 TYPE kostl .
Req: When user press F4 on P_KOSTL1, it should display cost centers only for company code value entered in P_BUKRS1, similarly for P_KOSTL2 it should display cost centers for comapny code entered in P_BUKRS2.
I know I can select records on AT SELECTION-SCREEN .. ON VALUE-REQUEST for respective fields and display in F4 with some FM .
<b>Is there any method by which I can call the search help specifying the company code as parameter?</b>

by using FM DYNP_VALUES_READ u can get the values of BUKRS.
based on the values of BUKRS get values of Cost Centres from DB tables into Internal tables
F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST by using this u can display.

I would use a search help exit. Nothing WDA specific here, as this has been possible long before WDA came around. With a search help exit you define the search help like normal, but instead of database table or view being the source of selection, you have a function module. Within the coding of this function module you can call an RFC to read data from another system or call a web service if you need to bridge over to something that isn't ABAP based.

Calling search help in SRM system

Hello all!
I have a problem with using the functional module F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST in SRM system. I need to call search help by this function module and retrieve output parameter. If Ive connected by SAP GUI all works splendid, but in HTML environment a behavior of this FM is very strange. In the HTML connection after Ive select the subordinate search help for selection criteria field search help becomes disappeared and main screen becomes shown as modal (sic!) window.
Does anybody know how to avoid this?

Is it possible to create search helps with dynamic seletion tables means
i dont know the selection table names at the time of creation of search help.
These tables will be determined at runtime.
if yes, Please give an idea how to create and pass the table names at runtime.

Select-Options search help with where

Hi Experts,
I need to have a search help in my selection screen with a Where clause.
I've tried to search it but I cant find answers.
The logic is like this, wherein the search help for my selection screen should just have the value PM001 and ZMIS.
SELECT-OPTIONS stsma estat tj30 FOR s_eqpstt FOR tj30t-estat WHERE stsma = 'PM001' and stsma = ZMIS.

Sorry, a little more detail... create a view, of search help type, with the columns you present and restrict those two values. Then create the search help with that view. Then add the search help to the select-option.

Search help with new selection within if more than 500 entries

Dear all,
I created a new search help and this works fine ... If I compare my search help with a default search help from SAP, I have 1 small feature that not seems to work ... With the default one, it is possible to make a new selection within the search help by clicking on the arrow down :
If I look at my search help, I don't have the possibility to make a new selection :
Does anyone how this can be done ?

HI,
Here are the general steps to get you started.
1. Identify the search help being used (on the ship-to-party field, F1 then Tech Info). I believe you want the collective search help SD_DEBI.
2. Create your own search help with the fields you want to use with SE11, like 'ZDEBI' as an example.
3. Append 'ZDEBI' to SD_DEBI. (Goto->Append Search Help).
4. Clean things up by "Hiding" the old search help. In the 'Included Search Help' tab of the collective search help SD_DEBI, there is a check box that you can tick to hide included search helps.

Help needed with search help with ina search help

i have a field fld1 (non primary key )and to the dataelement of that field a search help is assigned in table ztable1.
That search help is referring to a table in which fld1 is primary key in ztable2.
I have created another search help with all the fileds in ztable1 and iam using this search help in a selection screen returning another field say fld2.
in this search help i have drill down for fld2, which in turn gives the fields of ztable2.
This is working fine.
i have created another search help with the fields of ztable1 but this time its its returning the value of fld1. for some reason in this search i am not able to see the drill downn for fld1 .
can anyone tell me how to get the drill down even the import parameteris fld1

Search Help With Input Parameter in WebDynpro ABAP

Hello all,
I have been facing a problem regarding a search help I wanted to attach to an input field on my UI. The search help expects an import parameter and offers four output parameters. What I did was to create a context node based on a ddic structure. The structure has one attribute for each of the five parameters. I defined the search help for all context attributes except the importing one where I deactivated the search help. The search help is available on one of the input fields on the view and bound to one of the attributes in the context. The other context attributes are not bound to anything. The names as well as the data types are the same in the search help as well as in the ddic structure, bound to the context node.
During WDDOINIT, I am setting the "import" context attribute. The problem is that the table with the search help parameters is empty when the search help exit is entered. Do you have any idea what I have to do in order to provide the import value to the search help?

By context node, do u mean that u made a drop down with values in ddic structure ,
rather than that u can use FM 'VRM_SET_VALUES' this would be simpler if that makes sense for ur requirement.

Help with Parameter Form

Hello, I have a somewhat complicated Report and I am hoping that I can create the Parameter Form in Reports (I would rather not use Forms because I don't know it as well)
Here's my problem:
Right now I have 2 fields that I need help with.
The first one is called "Report Name" and I have it coded to a bind variable that will search for a series of "work units" such as 02% or 03%
This works as coded, the problem comes with the other "Work Unit" field. What I have right now is a LOV that queries for work units that start in either 02 or 03. This variable will narrow down the report findings to the specific work unit selected. What I want is for this list to be dependant on what the user choses for report name.
For example if the user choses ReportName1 the report query finds work units with 02%, but the "work unit" field still displays the list of work units 02% and 03% and the user must know to only chose the certain work units for the specific "Report Name" selected.
If there is a way to somehow have the "Work Unit" field be dependant on the "Report Name" field please give me soem ideas of how to do it.
