Calling to the UK Subscription

Hello,
I just bought a subscription Europe Unlimited and I have about 6 Euros credit (no skype number) does that mean I can call for a 0.99 cent or the 2.2 cent per minute still? or I have to do something else?
Thanks

  • If I no longer have the old application Backup installed on my Mac (part of the .Mac subscription), do I still need the folder called Backup, that is in my Library in the Application Support folder?

If I no longer have the old application Backup installed on my Mac (for performing scheduled backups of data on the computer), do I need the folder called Backup, that is in my Hard Drive, to Library, to the Application Support folder?  (There is no Backup folder in my Home Folder, to Library, to the Application Support folder.)
Backup was part of the .Mac subscription I used to have, and I have not used it since I gave up being a .Mac subscriber many years ago.  In fact I recall Apple saying at one point that they no longer supported the Backup Application.  I assume the Backup folder is just remnants from when I used to have that application, however I could be wrong, and don't want to trash the folder unwisely.
As I looked through the various items in the Backup folder, nothing appears to be modified since 2007, which further confirms that this folder is from long ago when I used to have that application.  I did notice that the main Backup folder itself was the only thing that had a more current modification date on it.  That date coincides with the date that I installed Snow Leopard on my Mac earlier this year.  But I'm assuming that any operating system software installation will place a modification date on all the various folders of one's computer, with the date the new OS was installed.
Any insight will be appreciated!  Thank you!

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer.  As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you.  I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.
    Best.

Hmmm, odd. Take a look at the "correct answer on at this link: Re: "Renew your Subscription" This Adobe help link too: Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CS5.5 and later

  • Can not receive FT calls on the New Ipad Ipad3

I Recently Bought a new 16 GB Ipad 3 Cellular + Wifi. I have been facing a peculiar issue with receiving FT calls on my IPAD.
IPad: Apple ID: [email protected], No Cellular Subscription
IPhone: Apple ID: [email protected], ATT
    1) When I try to make a FT call over wifi from Iphone 4 to IPAD the FT call does NOT go through most of the times. However, for some unknown reason once or twice out of twenty tries it might go through.
    2) When I try to make a FaceTime call over wifi from Ipad to Iphone 4 it always go through.
    3) If I try making a FT call from Iphone4 to Ipad  immediately after above mentioned scenario 2 , Ipad always receives FT calls. But it may not work again if I try FT from Iphone to IPAD after 15-20 mins and I have to repeat Step 2.
P.S: I have another Iphone4 and I am facing the same issue while trying to make FT calls on the other Iphone4 (No SIM, only on WIFI). I have tried it on various wifi networks but the result is the same. PLEASE HELP!
    Thanks in Advance.
    Sunil..

OK. I am having a little bit of trouble understanding your responses, but let's start with this since you are having an issue with other apps as well.
    Reboot your iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up completely and then try again.

  • What is the best subscription for use in US and Au...

I regularly travel between US and Australia.  I have postal addresses in both locations and credit cards from both countries.  So I can purchase from either location.
I want to be able to make calls to US land lines and Mobiles whilst in either countries.  What is the best subscription for me to buy and in which country should I purchase it?
NOTE: I am not really concerned about calls to Australia.  I don't make that many and so am happy to pay as I go for the Australian calls.

Probably best option would be Unlimited US&Canada subscription, which you can get if you are located in US.
It will be displayed here: http://www.skype.com/go/subscriptions
If you are outside of US or Canada then this subscription is not offered.
It doesn't matter where you are located when placing calls, but with subscriptions it does matter where you are when purchasing.

  • Recieving calls from the Philippines?

    Hi,
After searching the boards I've have not seen an answer that would clarify my question.  I'm about to purchase a premium subscription for ulimitted calling got the US, but I have a fiance in the Philippines.
The reason for the purchase is I temperarly can no longer aford a cell phone.  I don't get much calls, so I really don't need the cell at this momment.
Will my fiance be able to call me using this service even though I will be selecting the US (for my family, friends, work, etc.,), using her cell (she has no land-line)?
We both purchase minutes to call each other so I'm not concern about using this serice to call her.
If so, how would I go about making sure she is able to call me?
    Thanks!...

    Hello
    Let's first clarify your post.
I can see from your Skype registration details that you are located in the United States.
You want  to make sure that your fiancee is able to call you from the Philippines using a cell phone.
The fact that you have a Subscription is irrelevant. Subscriptions are for calling out  - you can't receive calls on a Subscription.
You could consider having a US Skype Number ($5/month) which your contacts could call.
TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

  • Calls between the UK and abroad – Clarification

Now we are in the summer holiday season, I have seen a number of posts asking questions about calling abroad and/or calls from abroad. There is a good guide to using your handset abroad, and things to do before departing Here but despite that there seems to be a lot of confusion about what is chargeable when making or receiving international calls. I hope that the following gives some clarification regarding call and text charges:All of the following examples assume you are using a UK registered mobile (prefixed +44), and the account has international roaming and international calling activated.Individual plans may have inclusive allowances for some of the following. CALLS WHEN IN THE UK:If you are in the UK, you are not charged to receive calls from other phones, whether they are UK or foreign registered, and regardless of where they are at the time of the call. The only time a UK registered mobile can be charged for an incoming call while in the UK is if that call originates from a subscription service, such as certain information or callback services. If you are in the UK, calling another UK number will be a standard call, regardless of where the person you are calling is located. If they are outside the UK at the time of the call, THEY get charged for the international part of the call – that is the roaming charge. If you are in the UK, calling a number registered to a different country will be charged as an international call to the country where that number is registered. For example, if you call an Irish number (prefixed +353) you will be charged the international rate for calling Ireland from the UK. If the person you are calling is not in Ireland at the time, they will be charged for the international part of the call from Ireland to wherever they are.If they are standing next to you in the UK at the time, you both pay international charges – you pay for the call to Ireland, and they pay for it to come back! CALLS WHEN ROAMING (OUTSIDE THE UK)If you are outside the UK, you will be charged the incoming call charge appropriate to your location for any calls you receive, regardless of where those calls originate, and whether they are from UK or foreign registered numbers. If you are outside the UK, you will be charged for any calls you make – the exact charge can vary depending if you are calling a UK number, a local number where you are located, or a number registered to a third country. For example, if you are in the Ireland, calls to UK numbers are charged at one rate, calls to Irish or EU numbers at a different rate, and calls to somewhere like the USA would be charged at yet another rate. Details of both incoming and outgoing call charges by country can be found in the roaming pages HERE.In many countries there is a single rate for all outgoing calls, regardless of where to. TEXTS:With regard to text messages, you should never be charged for an incoming text wherever you are, (unless it has come from a subscription service such as football results or Orange Wednesdays). Sending texts tends to follow a similar pattern to making calls:If you are in the UK, any text to a UK registered phone is a “standard” text, and any text to a foreign registered phone will be charged at a rate depending on where the phone is registered. If you are outside the UK, any text you send will incur charges as shown on the roaming pages, the charges can vary depending on which country the target phone is registered to. ADD-ONSIf you expect to incur charges based on the above, then it is worth checking out the add-ons available for roaming, and for calling abroad.  Hope that helps!

    Hi,
I just called EE and they said this is not entirely correct. If you are in the UK at the time of call and you're calling outside of the EU then you will be charged the international fee.
According to EE, it differs from plan to plan. I'm on 4G Extra which allows me to use texts and minutes as per normal within the EU but if I contact someone outside of the EU I will get charged for the calls and texts.

  • Calling India 800 min subscription

I've subscribed for calling India 800 min subscription. After subscription I've cancelled my renewal. Now when I call someone in India the person in India does not see any incoming call to his/her phone. But I can easily see from my end that the number in India is being called. Any idea why? Thanks.

My subscription has been rnewed on 20th April and minutes are available only on 23rd of April. Why so? And am I losing 3 days of the month? Why the early payment?
    Hello,
Due to the time it can take for some transactions to be processed, we charge your bank or PayPal account three days in advance to ensure prompt delivery of your subscription. You don’t lose these three days: your subscription is still valid for the full period that you sign up for (one, three or 12 months).
Although the recurring payment is taken three days in advance to avoid possible delays, your subscription minutes are reset based on the initial purchase date and time.
n.b. Minutes will be added to Plans at or about midnight UTC/GMT on the due date.

  • Unlimited calls to the US help.

Hi. I am a little confused about the subscription costs on the Unlimited Calls To The US. A part from the subscription fee is there any thing else to pay? For example do you charge the pay as you go rate with the subscription rate.
