Calling US Landlines Isn't Working

Hi, I'm an American living in Japan and have been using Skype to call home for three years.Today, I tried multiple times to call 2 different US numbers that I have called many times before (both in area code 913) from both my iPhone and my Mac.The calls don't connect at all: I hear the tones of the phone number being entered, then a few seconds of silence, then the end of call sound.I tried calling a Japanese friend's cell phone number and that worked fine. I also double checked the phone numbers and the country codes, so that's not the issue.I have $3.54 in Skype credit. I tried searching the board but I'm coming up stumped. :/

Have the same problem, and Mainstage works with MIDI instruments directly connected via USB.

If your carrier supports call waiting, you can turn it on by going to Settings > Phone > Call Waiting. If the setting is not available, contact your carrier. See this article for reference -

Dial pad isn't working, can only call people in my contacts

I have a blackberry style, 9670 and i can't dial using numbers the only number that works is 0. when i want to make an outgoing call i can only call people that are in my contacts. So in order for me to call someone who isn't in my contacts i need to add them to my contacts... which i don't exactly want to keep adding every number to my phone book, it's annoying... can someone please help me!!!!

Start with a battery pull. Remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it a few seconds later.

DTMF Isn't Working When a Call is Placed Outbound from UCCX

I have a script that places an outbound call and when the caller answers the call, I do a get digit string to capture caller input and the DTMF isn't working. The caller is hearing "Are you there?".
Here is the call flow:
Http Trigger into a script
Script places an outbound call using the Place Call command
The call gets answered.
Using the Get Digit String command, the caller hears the prompt that is played with get digit string.
The caller presses keys, but no keys are accepted.
Caller hears "Are you still there" and timesout.
I believe this was working at one time, but the script wasn't used and now we are revisiting this script.
I am using a H.323 gateway. IP phones using the same gateway to reach the PSTN do not have problems with DTMF. Inbound calls to the UCCX script are working when calling into a script with a Menu step.

You are exactly right. I was hitting DP 0 since during the cut I adding a ^ in front of my voip dial-peer pointing to the CUCM cluster. Once I waited to the call volume went down, after 9pm, I was able to do a debug voip dialpeer and I was able to see that the inbound dial-peer was matching.

If FaceTime ever worked properly for you, restarting your modem (and separate router/wireless if you have such) may help. If the problem continues, try connecting at a different location to see if the problem is within your wi-fi.
The black dot problem may mean you need to reset your iPod. If that does not help, it may need service by an Apple Authorized Service Provider.

I would never recommend tinyumbrella. I've had to respond to hundreds of posts from people who used it and found the it trashed the network database on their computer.
If you can't recover using approved methods rather than hacking your phone (which is what tinyumbrella does) then you've probably got a hardware problem.
So what should you do? First, connect it to a charger for 15 minutes. If it doesn't recognize the charger try a different one and a different cable. Then hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. Hold up to 1 minute. If nothing happens your phone really is broken, either a broken connector or a bad battery.

Of course, if you have already tried tinyumbrella this won't work until you repair the damage to your network database on your computer. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

I would take it to an apple retail store and have them look at it. It should definitely be under warranty

My MacBook Air keyboard isn't working, except the power button. I had the same problem over the summer and had it repaired ~4 months ago. What should I do?

The keyboard of my 11-inch MacBook Air, purchased in November 2011, isn't working at all. None of the keys respond except the power button. I'm able to restart the computer, and have done so multiple times. I've attempted SMC and PRAM resets, but they haven't worked.
I've never spilled anything on the laptop, haven't stepped on it, and haven't otherwise damaged it ever. I use the laptop very lightly. I only use it to take notes for class, browse the Internet, and watch movies. I don't download anything but PDFs, PowerPoints, images, and Word documents. I don't even have music on it. So I don't think I had any part in creating the problem.
I had this same problem with my laptop over the summer, and I took it into the Apple Store to get it repaired for $200. They told me that they didn't know the cause of the problem. I think they replaced the bottom half of my laptop entirely (receipt says there's a new "Housing, Top Case with Keyboard, US") and told me the problem was fixed. This was on June 30. The laptop keyboard stopped working again today, October 19. I called Apple Support and they told me that I would have to pay for the repair again because it's been 90 days since the last repair. I'm annoyed and upset that I have to pay $200 again to re-repair a problem that should've been properly fixed the first time. Plus, if the problem keeps happening despite multiple repairs, I can't afford to keep getting the laptop repaired over and over again due to the Apple employees' incompetence.
Does anyone have any advice on how to fix the laptop? I'm a grad student and don't have the funds to pay for another repair, and there's no way for me to get to an Apple Store without hiring a car service, so I'm trying to avoid going to the store if possible. Thank you.

Get the new keyboard at eBay and replace by yourself may be cheaper way, though you're required higher skill and well know about MacBook Air.

The music I was trying to listen to didn't want to make a sound when I turned it in , I put a pair of headphones in and and it worked as soon as I took it off it completely stopped the music was playing still I could see it in the top column that the play button was on ... Then I made a call an the same thing happened I turned it on speaker and then I could hear them... The sound is completely off even tho i looked at the seettings and put the volume on high noting is sounding on its own not even when i tap the buttons... make sure that your head phones are not attached to the phone then use the volume buttons on the side, if when using them you see a pic of headphones on the screen, then you have some lint in the headphone jack, use some compressed air and blow it out.
If you dont see that then try to reset the phone, hold down the home and power buttons for 20 seconds or untill you see the silver apple.
If you are still having a problem restore the phone and set up as new to see if that clears it up.

You can call AppleCare & request "Express Replacement". They will send you a replacement phone, & you then have 10 days to mail your existing phone back.

My online number isn't working

I cannot recieve calls from my online number. It stopped working about two weeks ago. I have tried everyting, changing the preference settings. waiting five minutes. uninstalling and reinstalling the software.
To be honest I really frustrated now that a service I am paying for isn't working and there is no proper support service in place.
I have marketed this number and sent it widely -- people are trying to get in touch with me and I am not able to take their calls.

I can't import any files from itunes... the click and drag isn't working...

I've tried clicking and dragging my mp3 from the desktop, from the finder, and straight from itunes, but i can't get it to be in garageband... at all...
I feel like i'm doing the same thing i was doing even just earlier today, but it isn't working anymore...

Is your mp3 maybe called .MP3? Then try to change it to lowercase.
