CallManager V9.1.1 - Load Server option in Device

Hello,
I need some help with the option "load server" in the configuration page of a device.
I need a TFTP server on a remote site because the bandwith is low.
I put this option in my device page (7942 and 7962 phone), but the phone continues to download his firmware to the callmanager.
My TFTP server is fully functionnal, to test, I configured my DHCP server with the option 150 with, in first position my remote TFTP server, then my CallManager. (option 150 ip IP_TFTP_SERVER IP_CUCM)
My phones are able to download their firmware but they can't register to the callManager. So I think the phone see the first TFTP server then he doesn't try to reach the second (callmanager).
Can someone help me. I didn't have any ideas yet.

T-Mobile did the same on their custom firmware for N97 and now I find the same on N8
no server profile   in the end on my N97 i got so fed up i changed the product code and got rid off all the T-Mobile nonsense blote-wear and it got me the Server profile.
I Don't want to hack product code on my N8    in Nokia's online FAQ's is says how to set the server profile but it doesn't seem to work for N8.
I wish Nokia would stop allowing networks to have custom versions. (let them brand by a theme only)
Anyone know the Server Profile settings for N8   ?

PermGen with -server option

Hello all. I have quite a trouble with JVM:
We're developing a multimodule web application. Modified wars (=modules) are sent from continuous integration server to our development JBoss many times a day - this redeploys modified WAR. The same for clients - we'd like to redeploy single modules without restarting the server.
Unfortunately after few redeploys we get PermGen space. Server is useless and must be restarted.
1) When JVM started with -client option I can avoid PermGen space, but from time to time (~1/10 redeploys), I get this:

I need to restart redeploy. After few redeploys this error repeats.
A bug in JVM or JBoss, or do I need to add some magical command line options for JVM?
2) With -server option I still have PermGen space, because JVM doesn't call finalize() methods on objects. Finalization queue is big.
Is there any JVM option for enabling finalization in -server mode (except manual calling System.runFinalization()), or this is a bug in JVM?
3) According to -XX:+TraceClassUnloading, JVM unloads unused classes only when PermGen memory is full. Lots of unused classes from WEB-INF/lib are kept in memory for long time. Couldn't this unloading be done earlier?
Any ideas? My JVM version is 1.6.0_10.

And another thing I don't understand with -server option. Sometimes instead of throwing PermGen, the application is frozen by GC. But even weak references to some objects aren't removed, for example:

Etherchannel load balancing options

Reading up on my Etherchannel load balancing options (src or dst, mac or IP) it seems to me that I don't have a good way of using Etherchannel to increase bandwidth in my situation. In my scenario, I have a Windows terminal server servicing a couple hundred users which are using a SQL database on a 2nd server. Both servers are on the same switch. Basically I only have one MAC and one IP. Is there a way to utilize multiple links in this scenario? It seems like I would need a packet based technique to take advantage of multiple channels and unfortunately that isn't an option with etherchannel. Thoughts?

Hi Diego,
If I understand you correctly, your scenario is similar to this
200users--Switch===channel===Switch--Server1+2
If that's how it is set up, then you have multiple source addresses with the same destination address. So if you select either 'source' or 'source and destination' as your frame distribution method, then you should have a pretty even distribution of traffic.

How to replace ENTERPRISE Server Option by BB Internet Service Option?

On my 8700 there is the ENTERPRISE Server option installed.
As I want to vsend and receive emails from different email account without making use of the BB Enterprise geature I would like to get rid of the Enterprise-program installed and replace it by the Internet Service option.
I wonder whether this would be possible.
Can I replace Enterprice feature by the normal Internet Service?? and how?

The options you are presented with when you start the email configuration wizard are controlled by virtue of the account type you have with your carrier. Given what you describe, it sounds as if you have perhaps on a generic data plan (or perhaps no data plan at all) -- that is normally not sufficient to grant you access to the Blackberry Internet Service that is hosted at your carrier. To enable Personal Email configuration, you must contact your carrier and request what is often (thought not universally) called The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever it is called, you need a plan from your carrier that grants you access to the enhanced Blackberry services that they host - and you must pay them to access those enhanced services. Once you have that proper account, you will have Personal email as a configuration option (note, though, that Enterprise will not be "replaced"...rather, Personal will be added to the screen).

Can't access the "delete from server" option in AOL mail setting.

iPhone 4s, ios 5.1, Verizon customer. I have never had an issue until this phone. Any ideas why I can see the "delete from server" option, but I can't check it? It's really annoying to delete emails from my phone and then have to go back and delete from my computer.

Is the email account that has this problem a POP account or IMAP. If POP, there should be a setting in the account's setting that determines whether an email is deleted from the server when downloaded. If IMAP than deleting on the device should delete on the server and other devices/computers. A problem can occur if the other devices have already downloaded the same email that you are trying to delete. It may take some time for it to delete from other devices. And some providers have bugs in this process. My carrier is Verizon, but I never use their email service.

Bug when using Edit in Server Option while editting HiQ node.

I have recently started using HiQ nodes in my applications, but am running into problems. If I enter the "Edit in Server Option" and then change applications or click on another window without closing the HiQ server window I run into problems. I can no longer enter the "Edit in Server Option" and the HiQ program will not run. I can not seem to find the HiQ server window. The only way I have found around this problem is to close the current document, reopen it, delete the HiQ node and rewrite the entire code, and be very careful to always close the HiQ server window before doing anything else. Of course this is not a suitable solution. Has anyone else run into this problem? Have you figured out a fix?

Jdk131 of wls 6.1 sp2 on Solaris 7 doesnt support -server option?

But it seems the built in jdk131 that installed doesnt support
-server option.
i checked the jdk131/jre/bin folder, but i dont see any client, server folders...how
is this possible?
how to correct this?

Yes i tried that, but it says, incorrect option, JVM could not be created.
any was i cd identify is the install binary was correct?
like any indication in jdk131/jre/bin folder?

Error message when clicking "Update" in the server options on ServerManager

Hello,
I have a strange error message when I want to modify the server options through the Server manager component (BPC for MS 7.0 SP5).
Here is the error message :
"Cannot update server options.
Err: Cannot connect to the web server registry. Make sure the [Remote Registry]service on the Web server has been started.
To check the [Remote Registry] service, go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services."
I checked the service mentionned in the message, nothing to be signaled : the service is running, I tried to restart it and test again but the error message still remains.
In fact, as we are in a BPC Server loadbalancer environment (2 BPC servers), we enter (try to enter), the virtual host name of the NLB in the fields (External Server Name, Application Server Name etc...), and we noticed that if we enter the physical Server names in the fields, the Update works fine !!!
As soon as we try to fill the NLB virtual name -> error message with the update.
As workaround, we updated the server information directly in the tblserverinfo sql table. Once done, the NLB with BPC works perfectly.
Do you have an idea about this error message ?

Hi,
External server name is used only in case you have users who access the BPC outside LAN. In this case the external server name should contain the virtual name which is visible for those users.
Scheduler server is the server used to schedule the BPC jobs (windows jobs are created into Windows scheduled tasks).This parameter should be the name of one application server(not NLB)
Regarding Server Manager, it is true that it is increasing the number at the end of parameter and saving all the values. This was created by design. Normally the last value saved is used(the bigger number),

Hi. We are installation a APEX on a test server that is running Oracle Database 10g 10.2.0.4.0. As I understand it there are two Web Server Options:
1) Oracle HTTP Server (Apache)
2) Oracle Application Express Listener
Do both of these work for Oracle Database 10g 10.2.0.4.0? I thought I remember reading somewhere that only the Oracle Application Express Listener would only work with database version 11 or higher.

Load server and osprovisioning

All,
I'm attempting to do an osprovision of Solaris to a T2000. The equivelant command that get's issued is as follows.
load server <discovered server name> osprofile Sol10R4_T2000 networktype static ip xx.xx.xx.xx hostname <hostname after install>
I've tried a number of different iterations and get the same results everytime.
The managed system starts to boot the "jusmpstart" process ( after all, that's what's really going on ) and reads the sysidcfg file correctly. When it attempts to find a matching rule in the rules.ok file, I get....
Warning: Could not find matching rule in rules.ok
and it kicks out into a manual install process.
The load server command is what sets up the sysidcfg, rules, rules.ok and the assocaited files to achieve the install, but based on what I had gotten use to with the old jumpstart mechanism, I would expect an entry in /etc/bootparams and /etc/ethers but these files never get created.
In the "old days", these were created by running the add_install_client script, but I'm not sure if the load server command from the n1sh shell is suppose to run this script itself, or if these 2 files are even required using the N1 System Manager mechanism for provisioning a system
Any help would be appreciated,

ok - I love answering my own questions ( lol ) but here it goes.
#1 Unless the managed server you are trying to provision has the ability ( and you set it right ) to resolve it's own hostname, you still have to put the entry in the local /etc/hosts file on the N1 System Manager Server.
After all - this is merely an updated variant of jumpstart. You can either call it SUNWjet or AllStart - take your pick......
Also, even though the load server command takes the hostname parameter and uses that entry to populate the rules file and the sysidcfg file, it is not suppose to be used in this command....
The true "bootable" entry would be the actual server name.. ie
load server <servername> hostname <Rservername> will populate the 2 files with Rservername but try to match servername.
I've placed a call with support on it and they have generated a RFE/BUG report on the item.
When you attempt to provision from the webconsole wizard, the hostname entry is disabled for a Solaris install....
So - rename the server entry to a valid <servername> which is the same as the <hostname> and don't use the <hostname> parameter in the load command. This will cleanly boot and match the rule correctly

Changing server options

How can I changer server options on my i5? It appears to be different than previous models. There are no Advanced settings.

How does ATT like you to configure the SMTP (outgoing mail) server? In particular, what is the port that is used?
When I first upgraded to Mountain Lion, one of my email account's outgoing (SMTP) server stopped working. I played around for a while and finally I found that setting the port manually instead of using "default" got things working again. As far as I can remember this happened (for this particular account) on all devices in my household. Of which there are many.
I used one of the default port numbers, 587, I just didn't use the default button. Sort of like black magic, I know. Especially since other accounts I have use the default port just fine.
This may not help you at all. But it won't hurt to try. You get there via Mail, Preferences, Accounts, Outgoing Mail Server, Edit SMTP server list, Advanced.

I've tried running some my applications with -server option - and discovered that for non-GUI apps -server renders drastic increase in execution speed.
For example code below takes only 2 seconds to execute with java -server while it takes more then 120 seconds with java -client option.
Now I'm considering writing all apps with

And, in my code - does java runtime really create 1000 threads - or is there some optimization?

JVM tutorial states that there are the cases when server performs slower. If you going to execute a small utility (<20 sec), use client.

I'm using IPhone 4 to check emails. Is there a way on the IPhone to setup that the messages would still be on the server so that when I check on my laptops the messages are still there. I can do this setup for multiple laptops but don't know how I can do it for the IPhone.

The default for IMAP is that it does NOT delete the email from the server when it pushes the email to a device. Only if you tell a device to tell the server to delete the email, will it actually delete from the server.

No Finder Go "Connect To Server" option

After installing OSX 10.6 I no longer have the Finder > Go > "Connect To Server" option. Command-K does not activate it. How can I connect to a known server? How can I get this option back on the menu?

That helped me...
I could pull up a list of other computers on the network (command-k), but when I tried to connect to any one, I got looped back to the list. Wouldn't connect at all.
Deleting the finder prefs worked like a champ.
