Callng Abap Program in ECC from bi

Dear All,
Wanted to check if we can call abap program from Bi.
Senerio is i want to execute the abap program in ecc first and then trigger the process chain.
Is it possible??? I'm aware of the other way that we can call process chain from ECC but wanted to check the BI way. If yes then how?

Not possible, indeed need event or Remote Function Call using an ABAP program.
Other option would be to use a 3rd party tool like Control-M to run programs/jobs on whatever system in your landscape (but requires investments of course).

Trigger a program in ECC from BI using a process chain with out Program

How can we trigger a program which is in ECC system from BI using a process chain with out writing any program.
is it possible? if yes how can we achieve this.

ABAP program / Idocs - MDX from SAP

Hello friends,
There are two systems:
One is SAP system other one is CRM system (non SAP). When someone enters data in CRM system to create orders, it reaches SAP system through IDocs and order number generates. All the SAP master data is maintained in kind of data base table in the external CRM system. So the orders get create in SAP without any errors. So far the data comes only from SAP to CRM. Now I would like to transfer the changes made in SAP master data (changes in customer/material/condition records) to be transferred to CRM system.
Can it be done through ABAP program or through IDocs? Which way is the accurate? Can you please give detail information how can this be done?

Extract Process Chain ID/Name that an embedded ABAP program is run from?

I have created some Process Chains in SAP BW where I have incorporated some ABAP program Process Types that uses the same ABAP program.
In these embedded ABAP program Process Types I need to extract the name of the Process Chain it runs from (ID, Technical Name, Descirption).
Is there any way this is possible to do?
One solutions that is not possible to implement (due to parallell runs of process chains that uses the same ABAP program) is the following:
search in table RSPCVARIANT for your program as follows
- field TYPE = "ABAP"
- field FNAM = "PROGRAM"
- field LOW = <program name>
take the value of field VARIANTE and use this in table RSPCPROCESSLOG (enter a date selection for BATCHDATE as well)
take the most recent entry (should be the one you're actually running at that moment)
via field LOG_ID, retrieve CHAIN_ID (technical name of your process chain) in table RSPCLOGCHAIN
So my question here is:
-Is there any way to extract the Process Chain ID/Name that an embedded ABAP program Process Type is run from?

Purpose To capture data for Standard Reports, we require to activate Statistic Group as under:
--> Item category (Configuration)
--> Sales document type (Configuration)
--> Customer (Maintain in Master data)

When you generate statistics in the logistics information system, the system uses the combination of specified statistics groups to determine the appropriate update sequence. The update sequence in turn determines for exactly which fields the statistics are generated.

Hi,
There's a remote-enabled function module (think it's either RFC_READ_TABLE or RFC_TABLE_READ) which you can pass a table name, some selection criteria and a list of fields to be returned. That should allow you to read those table entries from the remote system.

ABAP program created in one system want to trigger from other system

I have created ABAP program in ECC server internally it is using function module to update table.This ABAP program has 2 variants.
I wnat to trigger this ABAP program from BW . How to idenfied an abap program which is return in system1 into other system2.So that it can be executed from BI.

There are ways to do this.
Create an RFC in R/3 system (Tcode: se37 or read forums for sample). Create an event in sm62 (choose customer event) - then schedule your R/3 program (with whatever variant you want) in R/3 to trigger it when the event raised.
Within the RFC (R/3), you need to trigger the event -
Raise event to execute background jobs running under this event id
w_eventid type btceventid value 'ZCUSTOMEVENT'.
    call function 'BP_EVENT_RAISE'
      exporting
        eventid                = w_eventid
      exceptions
        bad_eventid            = 1
        eventid_does_not_exist = 2
        eventid_missing        = 3
        raise_failed           = 4
        others                 = 5.
    if sy-subrc <> 0.
    endif.
in BW - Create a program - Call the RFC (created in R/3). You can even add this to your process chains.
CALL FUNCTION 'Z_RFC_IN_R3'
      DESTINATION p_dest
      IMPORTING
      XYZ = XYZ
      TABLES
      IT_X = IT_X
p_dest being your R3 destination (this is RFC maintained in sm59 for your R3 client)....

The balances in both tables should be the same, right? It is just that in FAGLFLEXA you may have some extra line items due to document splitting.

Call an ABAP Program from Web Application designer

I have an requirement in which I need to fetch an CSV file from the server and place the file into an internal table in R/3.I got the function module and wrote the program for this,but now I need to call this ABAP program from Web Application designer.
To make it more explicit ,I need to call an ABAP Program /function module from the WAD.I am new to WAD Please help.

Hi,
Create ABAP program in BI/BW system with name like ZFILL_CALL.
Create RFC enabled function module(eg: ZRFCFM) in R/3 system, in this function module call your program which fills the ZTABLE from application server.
Call RFC function module ZRFCFM from your program ZFILL_CALL in BW system.(u need to RFC connections to these systems).
Create process of type "ABAP program" which u will find in General sevices in RSPC. Attach this process befor u r inpackage process chain.

ABAP Program has been Deleted

Hi ABAPer Folks,
Coupleof days before somebody asked me a question that his ABAP program accidentally deleted from Dev server but before that he have created a transport request against that program. But the program was only in Dev server( not in Quality or Production System). Is there any other way so that he can able to get his codes without restore the database. Please give me some idea because i am the Basis guy, i cant tell anything more from ABAP sites. From basis prosepective we can restore the database or if the program is there in QAS then we can copy the codes.

Do one thing.
Create a program with the same name of the old program.
then, open it in se38.
Then from utilities->versions->version management
There tick one older version and untick the other versions. Then press Retrieve.
