Callout and a list in an external MXML file

Hi,
I have made myself a few viewnavigator nested in a viewtabbednavigator, in the top right end side there is a callout button that I want it to populate it's content with external MXML file that is basically just a list.
The only way I found it is if it autohide the masterview and you need to pop the first tab view. I would just like the callout button to open an external MXML that is within my project. The help that I saw only did
no render the option I wanted execpt in portrait mode but even there it's part of the viewtabbednavigator and I could do without it.
Any help would be appreciated

Look into using the Loader class to load the swf files. If you want to have it happen in different frames then you can put the code into the different frames.

How do you edit a jpeg file and add callouts and save it again as a jpeg file?

I opened a jpeg file in Acrobat Pro XI and edited the photo adding callouts. It was saved again as a PDF, and when reopened all of the callouts where there. I tried to save it as a jpeg file, and when repoened all of the callouts were gone. How do I save the file as a jpeg and have the callouts show?

You may try exporting file as PNG or TIFF instead of jpeg.

Adding External Jar files

Hello,
I have successfully created and deployed a portal application project (par file) that required adding as an external jar the file com.sap.portal.usermanagementapi.jar. Now I am re-doing the project as a development component in NWDI and I can add the external jar file fine and the source code shows no errors. However as soon as I build the DC I get a source error that says the import to com.sap.ip.portal.service.ume.IUserManagementEngine can not be resolved. If I go back to the java build path the usermanagementapi.jar is no longer there.
Do I have to handle the adding of external jar files in a different way for a DC as opposed to a par project?

i have now jar files in the server and the application referring to the jar files. everything is deployed fine. however, when i start the application..i get the error -"package jcifs.smb does not exist". the jar i am using is jcifs-1.2.7.jar. in my web module when i expand the jar i see the package and the .class files inside. what am i missing?
Also, i din't define a SharingReference to usermanagement in portalapp.xml as i am working towards a pure j2ee enterprise application. the web module (DC) referes to the jar files. is there any step similar to defining the sharing reference for the web module DC?

Opening external Excel file by VBA in Excel Inplace template

Hi all experts,
I am working on a sq01 query which used an Excel inplace template. Inside the template, I have written the code to open another Excel file by absolute path, and it works when I run it in my computer. However, when I uploaded the template to the SAP and run the code, the external Excel file did not open. May I ask how I can open an external Excel file when the template is inside SAP server? Unable to embed External CSS file, dropdown list,filter panel and dimension filter are not working in SAP Design Studio Tool

Hello Everyone,
I am new to SAP Design Studio. I am working on creating dashboards and I am using Design Studio 1.2 version. Please suggest some solutions for the following issues. Thanks in Advance.
1. External CSS file which is embeded using custom CSS option under "application component properties" is not working.
* I kept the external CSS file inside repository-> my application folder.
2. During runtime, getting javascript error while selecting '-' option from filter panel.
3. Unable to select or type dimension name under "dimension filer component" properties.
4. Getting runtime error for dropdown list, and I have inserted the following code under "onStartup" option of Application component properties.
"DROPDOWN_1.setItems(DS_1.getMemberList("PRODUCTREF", MemberPresentation.INTERNAL_KEY, MemberDisplay.TEXT, 20));
and dimension values are not populated in auto suggest."

There should be an Error Log under View > Error Log that gives you more details of these errors. Could you add that? There is also a View > Script Problems log that provides more details as well.

HT3275 Time machine at home and it will not allow me to remove the listing of my external hard drive from the excluded files list.

I am trying to use time machine to back up the hard drive. For backing up from Macbooik pro and Imac, there is no problem. It seems to not want to allow the external drive to be removed from the Excluded list and as such will not back up from it.
Is there a way to be able to transfer files (music, movies etc) to time machine, format the external drive then put the files back to hard drive?
Sorry it is a long winded question but it is driving me nuts that I cant sort this out.
The <Macbook and Imac are both running mountain lion.

As for the hard drive to which you have never been able to write, is it by any chance in NTFS format? OS X can read NTFS for importing files, but it does not contain code for writing on an NTFS volume. That's a choice, not a bug.
There is third-party software available to install NTFS-writing capability into OS X. An example is Paragon NTFS for Mac OS X. Another alternative would be to use a disk format that both Macs and Windows systems can use for both reading and writing; this would require either a new drive or erase the existing data.
If by "the new system software" you mean OS X 10.9 Mavericks, you may want to repost that portion of your query in the Mavericks forum at https://discussions.apple.com/community/mac_os/os_x_mavericks . I haven't made the leap yet.
I don't know what other problems you have been having, so I cannot comment on them. You don't seem to have any other recent postings on these forums.

Cutom ribbon button and valid RegistrationId for an External Type List

I'm developing a custom ribbon bar command for my particular External Content Type list. I know that for the command to be shown correctly I need a valid RegistrationId which would correspond to my list. But it seems to be unclear for me what to set there
if I use the button against an Extarnal Content Type list because RegistrationId=101 or 100 doesn't work there . Any suggestions?

For your requirement, here are three workarounds for your reference:
1. Use JavaScript to hide the button accordingly.
Add custom ribbon button for this kind of list, then add a JavaScript snippet to the list views or different forms to hide that button according to the checking result
of the list name.
2. Create a custom list definition and create list with ribbon button based on it.
After the site provisioned, delete the original list and create a new list with based on this list definition with similar columns.
3. Make another site template contains this list with the custom ribbon button.

Itunes 8.0 - My ratings and play list are gone! External Drive
It has about one year I have been rating my songs and creating my play lists. I keep all my musics on a external drive. Always when I plug the drive I can play the musics list on the library with out a problem.
Now on this new update (8.0), when I click on the music, simply the Itunes don't find the music. And when I add to the library a music that was already there, it comes with NO RATING!
Results:
1) lost my ratings
2) lost my play lists...I will have to build all again.
Can some one Help Me?

Hi, usually iTunes stores data in 2 different folders:
one it's used to store your music files, the other stores your settings (playlists, ratings...). The first one can be stored wherever you want, the other, which contains the xml file with all your settings, is usually stored in My Documents / Music / iTunes Music. If you don't back up it or you replace it (for example doing a clean install of iTunes), you could lost all your informations. I suggest you to recover your PC from a backup (if available) or use a program to recover deleted files. Let me know if you need more help, goodbye

How to call one Main MXML from another main MXML file and pass values between them?

I am able to get data out of the datagrid on clicking on any element
Now when I click on any element in datagrid I want call a new mxml file which is also have Aplication tag and I want to pass that value of clicked element to it

Macbook pro for reading and writing NTFS for my external hard drive

Hello,
I have the new Macbook pro with retina display and I tried transfering some of the files on my macbook to my external hard drive (WD My Passport). Of course, it didn't let me. I did some research and found out that Mac only "reads" NTFS systems, but doesn't write. I did some more research to see if there was a way around this. There are several options and I need help with deciding which option is best.
1. Formatting my external hard drive to the FAT32 file system - however, it says that there are limitations with writing file sizes larger than 4GB. Is that true?
2. Formatting my external hard drive to the exFAT file system - is this a better option?
3. Downloading MacFuse - is it really discontinued?
4. Downloading OSXFUSE - is this better than MacFuse?
5. Downloading fuse4x - I don't know about this one
Aside from all this individual questions listed, which option is the best?? And, which option will give me less damage or data loss, and which is very reliable?? All I want to do is be able to transfer my documents or files on my MAC to my hard drive, but be able to read/write files on any other PC. I bring my hard drive everywhere and I always need to access my files with any computer I see (like in a computer lab at school/library).
If you can answer all of my questions, YOU'RE AWESOME!

Yes, exFAT is better.

Take a copy of all the data off the drive. Formatting the drive will erase all existing data.
Take the drive to the oldest Windows OS your going to use it with, if Windows XP there is a free exFAT update from Microsoft, install it first, then right click on the drive and format exFAT, it will create the appropriate partition table (either GUID or MBR) automatically.
Take the drive to the Mac, it will read it just fine whatever it is,.

What really cheeses me off here is that Apple isn't allowing users enough customization. With each update of iTunes (and the OS and iOS) we're forced to give up something that worked well for the way we want to use the app and make do with fewer (and lamer) options. If Apple keeps this up, they're going to start losing customers fast. I mean if this isn't fixed soon, I'm pretty sure I'm going to give up on iTunes, and then I'll probably go ahead and get a Galaxy when I need to replace my iPhone.
What I don't understand about how they won't let users delete the list of available podcasts now is why? How is this making it a better program? I can understand that not all users are capable enough to right-click on a feed and select "Show all available episodes", so I can see why they want the complete list to be the default (and, surprise, it already was). But to not give users the option to delete that list? It's inconsiderate because it makes navigating feeds with a large back catalogue really frustrating. I'm flabbergasted that no one at Apple considered all the podcast feeds that keep hundreds of episodes available when they removed this feature. It smacks of rank incompetence.
What improvement were they trying to make here anyway? There was nothing wrong to my mind about how podcasts were managed in previous versions. Whatever improvement they were trying to make here, they should have realized that many users would at least want the option to keep things the way they were.
And reverting to a previous version is no solution. I can't sync my iPhone with the new iOS without this update, and (while I do have some issues--specifically how you can't play podcasts in the Music app anymore) I do like the new iOS.

Also i want to know When I use the standard Application.application way, it does not spit out any error, but it just doesn't work either.
Alternatively, I guess I could pass the field (in this case, a TextArea) as an argument, but how do I do that? How to pass a TextArea(or any other element, for that matter) as an argument? What type is it?
Does anybody know how to circumvent this? Any help is appreciated,

Iphoto app and Contacts List vanished

Dear Apple,
My iPhoto app and Contacts list have disappeared from both my desktop and my Time Machine ( recently restored my internal harddrive from external HD ).
1) Can I select just iPhoto for installation from the system disk ?
2) I can highlight my complete Contacts list from several weeks ago in Time Machine, but when restored to today, the desired target ( Contacts ) is grayed out. Do I need to create a temporary "Contacts*" app to be later renamed without a distinctive character ? I have created "Contacts" folder, which is unrecognized by Mail.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

The iPhoto app needs to be reinstalled form its original source - either the restore disks that came with yoru computer, the pruchased iLife upgrade disks or the App store
