Calls coming in as unknown even though I have there number saved

I broke my phone so using my mates Samsung Galaxy ace2 mini, but when people ring me it comes up as unknown even though I have there number saved.

Are you an Orange customer?
If so there is an ongoing issue with Caller Line Identity. This is what shows you the number of the person calling you.
The issue is currently under investigation.

Caller ID can also be turned off on some networks e.g. iOS has a setting for UK phones to turn it off. You should try calling from a number you know is not blocked from sending the caller ID.

Ipad keeps coming on and online, even though I have it shut off and wifi shut off, why is this and how can I stop it? After shutting it off, sometimes   10 minutes, or hours later it comes back on, even when not using it

When my Ipad has been disconnected from wifi and shut off, it keeps coming back on and online. It can happen in 10 minutes, or hours later, happens irregulary. Have noticed when it happens, I get nofications from facebook of comments and or posts.. I can switch the wifi off,    switch the iPad off and then set it beside me, hour later it dings, i have noficiations of face book things, and its online again.. why is this and how can I stop it from happening?

Yes, I went to settings and turned wifi off. Thought at first I wasnt letting it set for a sec or two before shutting the iPad off. so now I wait like a minute or two before shutting the iPad down. didnt seem to help. Tried actually logging out of facebook when I was done with it, worked for about 4 days, and now it has started coming on and coming online again,, I went through my notifications and shut things off,   Well see if it works. thank you.

"Unknown Artist" comes up on iPhone music library for some albums even though they have an artist in iTunes, Also some artwork not showing on iPhone even though the artwork for the album is on the iTunes library on my iMac

Trying to copy full albums onto my iphone 5s, some (About 25%) albums have "unknown artist" where the artist should be, even though they have the correct artist names in Itunes on my MBP.
Also some albums dont have artwork on the iphone but it is there on itunes on my MBP.
Is there a fix?

When you fix track names and album art in iTunes the information is written to an XML database and not to the file itself. You can use Doug's scripts to embed meta information to the file.

There is also an iTunes vbscript if you're using windows.

This usually means the original music file has been been deleted from the HDD. If you feel it has not then click "locate" and navigate to where the song file is on the HDD and choose it. You can use Spotlight to locate it if necessary.

Is this a clean install or an upgrade? 20 GB, though greater than the minimum, is pretty minimal. How much memory do you have on the system? 2008 would try to create a page file of 1.5x physical memory, so if you are building on a large
memory system, you could be having an issue there.

Even though I have my 15" MacBook Pro set to open to empty screen when I open Safari, it constantly opens multiple previous pages. It doesn't seem to matter what I do it just reverts back to opening multiple pages. Major security risk, my bank pages have popped back up after my computer has been shut down, account numbers and all. I took my computer to an Apple store and the genious there tols me... Apple doesn't call its portable machines 'notebooks' instead of 'laptops' for nothing - using a MacBook Pro in your lap can cause some burns on your skin, poor ventilation, etc. So use it on a hard flat surface - not your lap, pillows, bedclothes, etc.
As for burning a hole in your screen, you'll have to revisit the Apple Store and see how much they would charge for a new screen. It's likely to be a bit expensive.
And if you've Safari set to re-open tabs when you restart, you can disable this feature -> Safari-Preferences-General.

Why is my new music staying on my iPad and not going into my iCloud even though I have it set up to do so?

I have gone through all the tutorials to get iCloud to back up my music for iTunes, but it still shows I have 5.0GB available (even though I have purchased more), and when I go to "backup" it acts like it's going to do it, but doesn't. I now need to update my iOS but can't because there's not enough storage on my iPad, a bit of a Catch 22. Can anyone help me figure out why my music isn't going to the cloud? Thanks!

iCloud doesn't back up your music as part of your iCloud backup. iCloud only includes music in two ways. First, it allows you to redownload previously purchased music for free from iTunes (called "iTunes in the cloud"). Second, if you subscribe to iTunes Match on your computer, you iTunes library (up to 25,000 songs) will be available to download and play on your device anywhere you have a connection to the internet ( see http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/).

is it ok to delete outlook ID's copy/backup as running out of space?
If you mean you have several identities in the Office Identities folder then yes. You can delete whatever you don need\want except for your current.
Are you updated to the latest version of Office?
After the restore, navigate to ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/your identity and delete the file called Database. Then rebuild.

My email program smartzone has suddenly started working on smartzone lite instead of the regular one even though I have it set to work on the regular one. It works fine on IE but not on Firefox

My email program, smartzone has started coming on as Smartzone Lite even though I have it set to work on the regular Smartzone. It works fine on IE. This problem makes my email list come up with HUGE print and it is very awkward to use. I want the Smartzone regular back. Please tell me what to do.
