Calls dropping with disconnect cause 16 (normal clearing)

I am faicing a strange problem within my voice network.
I am using both VoIP and SS7. For VoIP I am using IPIPGW and for SS7 PGW.
Some calls connect normally but immdeiately drop with disconnect cause 16, or ISDN cause 8090 (which mean normal clearing) .
I have difficulty on tracing the cause as I don't know where to start from.
Can someone indicate any poosible cause for this problem or where to start looking at.

First specify where is the clearing message come from ? where do you see it
also intitate a debug for isdn q.931 messages to get deep into the cause...

  • Unable to make conference call + calls dropping with iPhone 6? :(

I have an iPhone 6 and i keep experiencing my phone calls randomly dropping out on me. I would sometimes hear a beeping noise and then a 'call failed' message would appear on the screen. Other times the call would just cut off and the screen would go back to the caller information or the home screen. Second problem is that i cannot create a conference call.  Please help!

    Hi ,
To make the conference call, click here for information.
The dropped calls, is this the one area?
Do you have any problems with texts?
    Thanks.

  • Iphone4 4.3.3 update - calls drop with static

Ever since I updated to the 4.3.3 iphone update on my iphone 4, I keep having calls that have to be dropped when major static appears on the other persons line from my phone. I thought maybe it was them, but it has happened to every person I have called! It started exactly after I completed the 4.3.3 update on May 8, 2011 and keeps happening since.

I have taken a leap of faith and pressed 'restore to factory settings'.. Yes, it has now given me the option to restore from the last back up (fortunately immediately before attemting the iOS update !!). This is now in progress with 27 mins to go !!
The point of this message is to try to give some confidence to others in the same situation - I had not been in this situation before.
Fingers crossed to be able to find out just how much of the earlier (pre-update attempt) I get back.
    Promise to let you know.

  • Calls dropping with new OS

I have a 4s, and updated to the new OS a couple of days ago. Ever since then it has been constantly dropping calls. Any suggestions before I head for the Apple store? And what will they tell me?

    Hello Ron,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
I would recommend the troubleshooting from this Troubleshooting Assistant:

  • My phone reception is horrible since installing ios7. My calls drop indoors and outdoors and normal places where reception is great, there are no dots at all. How can I fix this on my phone?!

Does anyone else have this problem? Even in my own bedroom my phone reception keeps cutting out, as well as every single grocery store I walk into.

You can try restoring the phone but if that doesn't work I would check the updates frequently till they come out with another update. I've herd many of my friends with some what the same problem but not as sever as yours.

  • CS call drop with Wi-Fi option enabled

My Friend bought Iphone 6 from U.S and using the same in Inida ( Indian SIM ) and facing a unique issue where First MO CS call is getting failed when Wi-Fi option enabled on device. As soon as we Disable Wi-Fi on Device , No such behavior  and CS calls works perfectly fine .
As per oerator analysis , such failed calls are not even hitting there network .
Need Apple expert support to identify exact reason for these CS call failures .Why device is behaving in such manner.

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

    Hi Nadeem,
    our setup is like
                                                                vpn link
    call manager ------head office(router)----------------------------------brach router(gateway)------------------ip phone(branch)
    The call flow is
                                                                                                                  sip
    IP Phone---->brach GW-------------->call manager------------------>branch GW------------------->ITSP
there is no subscriber at branch side, so the outbound call should travel to call manager at head office and then get exit from branch gateway to ITSP through sip line.

  • Call drop while talking long distance and strange number in log

Talking to relative in NY, call dropped with no dial tone after that.  Unplugged all phones, checked the connection box.  Dial tone came back after about 15 minutes.  Checking the digital phone log revealed that {edited for privacy}was listed as being called 7 times during the time of no dial tone.  Looking at the log again showed that {edited for privacy} was called eight times yesterday.  About a call a minute to this number.  Have no idea what this number is.  It seems that everytime the calls are dropped, this is the number in the log.  What is happening?

The alarm system checks out OK, strange number was just the system making the regular 28 day call.  Calls are still dropping, mostly after talking for a long time.  Can call the number back immediately and get connected.  Dial tone is not missing for these latest incidents, althought it was missing once in the past.   Also have an answering machine that  clicks at random as if someone is picking up a phone.  Answering machine is set to 4 rings and digial voice answering is set to 6 rings.  The whole system worked fine when installed, now is a constant problem.  Going to start disconnecting things and probably run a wire from the box directly to one phone.  Is there a tracer that can be hooked up to monitor the line?

  • CUCM Call-Disconnect cause 47

    Hello all,
i hve an issue with below senario
    ph1----CUCM====CME=====NortelCs1000----ph2
1-when ph1 call ph2 , it rings, then silent call, after 12 sec call disconnect
2-debugging CME, gives; CUCM send disconnect cause 47
    3-tracing CUCM give
    AuConnectErrorInd | waitDisconnect | MediaManager(1,100,141,11) | MediaExchange(1,100,110,11) | (1,100,65,1).12257-(SEP00262D9FC90F:10.0.3.1)| [R:NP - HP: 0, NP: 2, LP: 0, VLP: 0, LZP: 0 DBP: 0]CI1=17696261 CI2=17696262 clearType=0
    10.0.3.1is the ip of CME
4-call from ph2 to ph1 give the same symptom with same errors
5-if a phone registered at CME , it can call ph2 or ph1 normally, with codec g729
please help me to resolve this issue as all users cant call each others

Problem is likely a codec mismatch.  Do you have MTP checked on the trunk between CUCM and CUCME?  When you make calls from the phone to CME, are you sure it is negotiating G729?
47 typically means a transcoder couldn't be invoked when it wanted one.  I would start looking at codec to see if you can find out what the issue is.

  • How can I drop a call that never disconnect.

    Hi,
I'm running CUCM 8.51 + UCCX 8.51. I have several Application Trigger each one running different CSQ. Today I realize a call have more than 94 hours waiting in a queue when agents are in Ready state so look like the call never disconnected.
How can I drop a call that never disconnect without drop the calls in all CSQ?

Anthony, you were right, I did'nt select the session tab before click Tool.
At the end it didn't work for me because the call never was never show at the Session tab so restaring the UCCX Engine did the trick for me.

    - you cannot restore it from iTunes? as from your explanation, it looks that its iOS problem. or
    - try to let the battery drain (< 5% or until it shuts down) and connect it to iTunes and try restoring. or
    - keep it plugged in the charger for 3,4,5 hrs and do hard reset again ( lock+home bottoms)
