Calls from blocked and unsolicaed people to my mob...

After the latest update I have started to get calls from unsavoury ( profane and swear words) to my mobile. No request to join,nothing, but a open line call. Why is this happening. How can I block a call that I have not invited to be a contact?
They are calling constantly with words like "F**K " "hot s*x"in the tag line and I dont want this on my work mobile. How can this get by your security settings and how do I get rid of them. I have signed out of the mobile app which is the only way to stop them calling over and over again.

Getting calls from blocked numbers

I have been receiving phone calls from a blocked number, is there any way to find out who it is? I know when someone blocks there number on a landline you can *69 and call the number back can you do that with a cell phone?

Hey there, barkar! Although it's been a while, I recall a period of time when I would get calls from blocked numbers. It can be very upsetting! I wish I could say that there's a way to see beyond those blocks, but the very purpose of the blocks is to protect the caller's privacy (even if that protection may come at the expense of the peace of mind of those being called). The best advice I can offer is to just not answer calls from individuals you either don't recognize or don't expect. Let them roll to voicemail. Must legitimate calls will leave you a message with their intentions stated.
And, if they become too much to handle, you do have the option to change your mobile number free of charge through My Verizon. Good luck to you!

Telemarketing calls from "203" and "112"

We're receiving calls that show on caller ID as "203" and "112", and when I review usage they are indicated as 999-999-9999. They appear to be international locations. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Is there any way to block calls from "blocked number"

I would like to be able to block calls from numbers that show up in my caller ID as "Blocked". I dont really care who they are I want them to share their number or I dont' want them to call. Is there anyway to do this? I am not talking about the restricted numbers just the ones that people have chosen to block. They can all do the *## and unblock their number when they call my phone if they really want me to answer it!

Call from Mac and iPad - wifi requirements?

Hello all,
I can see on forums, that a LOT of people have problems with calling from their Macs and iPads using iPhone when on same wifi network.
All of "solutions" that are posted here or on apple help site is that you should restart your iphone, turn on and off cellular calls in facetime and it should work. Yes that is nice, but from technical point of wiew its useless as pair of winter boots on summer camp.
I made this thing working on my home network wifi, when I disabled all security permissions and allowed ports on my wifi router. Then it started working, I was able to call from my macbook pro (2014) and iPad Air.
The real problem is, that when I come to other wifi network, such as my work one, I am not able to get it to work. I have a possibility to configure every single wifi network in our company, but I am not able to get it to work. I have no idea why. I was sitting on it and testing it whole day, but with no end.
I think that there is one thing from Apple support we need and those are: SPECIFICS. Which port is it running on? What services is it usings? What should be accesible? I am sorry but one sentence which says "they only have to be on one wifi network" is not enough.
Please leave out comments how to fix this like: being in two networks, restarting devices, turning something on devices off or on and signing out and so on..
If someone else already figured this out, I would be eternaly grateful.

If you do not have Facetime on your phone, then that particular feature will not work.

Report call from forms and 1017

Hi,
we have a web application and and it's first screen is the login screen where user can change their password or when grace time comes we force the user to change their password etc. Password changes successfully, no issue and user goes inside the application. But here is the problem. When user clicks the report after chagning the password then report doesn't work, can't connect to database and audit trail shows 1017 so obviously when they click 3 times their account gets locked because in profile it's set to 3 failed attempts. When user close the application and re login again and then click the report, it works fine. I'm suspecting the new changed password doesn't pass to the report? i would really appreciate for your help, suggestions, advise. how do i make sure that the new changed password should be passed to the report?. We're running against 11g database and sec_case_sensitive_logon is set to false.

Making continuity calls from mac and ipad

Hi,
I'm not able to make calls from my mac and ipad. I get a message that says your iphone is not configured, but I have done all the procedure required for that. I'm guessing that facetime is required for this feature to work and I don't have facetime on my iphone since I bought it with carrier contract in UAE.
I'm having Macbook pro with retina mid 2014 (os x yosemite), iphone 5s (ios 8) and ipad mini (ios 8).
Please help me if there is a way to get around with that.

I have an iphone 5 16G. Phone was working fine yesterday. Someone tried to FaceTime with me (wrong number so I declined then turned off the ringer) last night 10x --not sure if this has anything to do with the problem or not. Someone tried to call me today and sent me a text saying they got a fast busy signal. Later I got my daughter to call and phone worked just fine.Son called, phone worked. Then another friend called and got the busy signal. So I got my nephew who has at&t which is same as all other callers and he got a message saying call cannot be completed at this time. So it seems that only verizon can get through and not other networks.

Try a Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Note: You will not lose any data.
If no joy, talk to your provider.

Rwrun60 call from java and log in to db

hello,
i am writing an application in which java
calls rwrun60.
for each report there has to be started a single process
through Runtime.exec().
That means that the user has to log on several times to the
db. is there a possibilty in that architecture that a user
just has to log on one time and generate several documents ?
Or am i conceptually wrong ?

Hi Thorsten,
Every invokation of a runtime engine requires a new database connection (for security reasons). When you use the reports server then connections may persist (if subsequent jobs are using the same database connection), but this is not possible using just the runtime directly.

ITS Reports called from Launchpad and LPA Reporting iView

We have developed custom reports that launch from the reporting launchpad. When selected, the LPA reporting application provides a list of employees. After selecting an employee, the report fails to launch with selected employee. The report input screen is displayed in ITS. Are there any configuration that maps the LPA employee selection field to the receiving ITS report?
Standard reports work fine.

Is there a way to send incoming 'Blocked' and 'Unknown' calls directly to VM without having the call ring or vibrate? (iPhone 5, iOS 7)

I'm tired of getting calls from sales and /or winning a cruise. How can I automatically send incoming calls that are either 'Blocked' or the number is 'Unknown' directly to Voice Mail. I would like to skip the ring and the vibrate (I do have a silent ringer tong tone that I can use, but it only works if the ANI shows a number). Thanks.

There needs to be an option to block restricted numbers from calling you. All I can find is where you can block specific numbers, but that specific number can still call you simply by putting a block on their number. That defeats the purpose of offering that option...

YouMail is a free voicemail service that gives you a workaround for dealing with restricted or blocked numbers. It's called "DitchMail" - when it sees a blocked or restricted number, the caller gets a recorded message (yours, or DitchMail's default) saying that you do not accept calls from blocked numbers, please unblock and try again - and then it hangs up without giving the caller an opportunity to leave a message.
It doesn't prevent the call from coming in - but it does deal with it so you don't have to. If you see a blocked number coming in, you can always hit End or Ignore, sending them straight to VM or DitchMail.

Making Call from Service (XML) and (JTAPI)

We have a Cisco IP Phone Service for survey's process, when the user accessed the service sends him a phone number to do the survey, we want to make the call and continue with the survey questions but when we do the connection the service closes and the user have to start again, obviously he obtain another phone number.
