hola, espero me puedan ayudar, mi ideapad notebook presenta problemas con la camara web propia; dejo de funcionar y perdio los driver, asi por si sola y no los consigo en la pag web de lenovo ni en ninguna parte...atenta a vuestra ayuda gracias.

Con mucho gusto, pasanos el numero de TYPE de tu maquina (se encuentra en el reverso de tu maquina)
Por favor! no nos vayas a poner el numero de serie, eso no es necesario, solo busca el numero a la par de TYPE.
Con ese numero podemos localizar los drivers que necesitas, un saludo

Hi! I bought a new Ideapad S10e this year and it has been having some issues so I went today to check the warrenty status of my machine but the IdeaPad S10e isn't in the drop downbox anymore and the serial number doesnt work, this is the same for drivers and downloads as well but if I goto here http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support the S10e serial number works. The site which you are using is correct, since you have already found your warranty status on the http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support then do contact your local service center to get your laptop serviced.
There are currently 2 sites to check for IWS, ThinkPad and IdeaPad, the teams are currently working on migrating both sites to have a standard site in order for customers to check their IWS and drivers.

How can I restore an IdeaPad s10e to factory settings?

Hi all! I'm new to this forum. I've been searching far and wide for a solution to my problem and I can't find a suitable answer...
I have an IdeaPad s10e (which I love) but lately there have been some weird and bizarre things going on with XP (WPA-PSK protected networks not working, programs crashing, windows opening by themselves). Before someone jumps in and say "VIRUSES!" it's not that. I always take all the necessary precautions to avoid this. What happened is that I used some StarDock programs to dress XP up and it started doing all these crazy things, I uninstalled them and it's still acting weird.
Anyway, I wanted to restore my netbook back to factory state, but since I installed Ubuntu 9.04 and Windows 7 alongside XP my F11 restore option is missing. When I installed Ubuntu the option was still there, but when i installed the cursed Windows 7 RC the loader ate up that option. Now I restored XP's bootloader and deleted the Ubuntu partition but the F11 option is still missing.
So, what can I do?...I really want to restore my netbook back to normal. This time around Windows 7 won't be an option until I can buy the full version.
So PLEASE help me. And I also read some posts about cloning the drive before using the netbook and such, but none of that will help me. Lenovo's support isn't very helpful.

PROBLEMAS CON CAMARA WEB thinkpad s440

hola, buenas tardes tengo una thinkpad s440 , la tengo hace 2 meses, la camara web falla, constantemente tengo que estar reinstalando los drivers y reiniciar el equipo para que funcione .Luego apago el equipo , enciendo otra vez el equipo y no hay camara y otravez reinstalar drivers,un bucle. espero puedan darme una solución para esto gracies.

La siguiente medida a tomar es una restauración de fabrica, se supone que aquí todo en tema software va bien, la restauración deja el ordenador como si fuera la primera vez que enciende, esto representa que todo lo que tenias en C sera eliminado.

Mi mac mini no detecta camara web

Hola a todos, compre una mac mini y quiero instalarle una camara web, la conecto y no la detecta, ¿sabe alguien como puedo conectarla? Saludos!!

Hola, acabo de adquirir una Lenovo G480, con windows 8, aparte de que no sé como apagarla, la cámara web de pronto dice que tiene un error, me aparece el siguiente mensaje:
" C:/Program Files (x86)/Lenovo/YouCam/YouCam.exe
No se pudo iniciar la aplicación; la configuración en paralelo no es correcta. Consulte el registro de eventos de la aplicación o use la herramienta sxstrace.exe de la línea de comandos para obtener más detalles"
La verdad no tengo idea de lo que está diciendo, requiero ayuda. Gracias

Suponiendo que se descarto cualquier opción de controladores se debe diferenciar algunas cosa des-habilitado no es lo mismo que desconectado.
1.-Des-habilitado desde administrador de dispositivos en el apartado para la camara web aparece con una flecha hacia abajo que representa el estado des-habilitado, si es así se puede habilitar con solo dar clic derecho/habilitar.
2.-Desconectado la palabra lo define bien en administrador de dispositivos el referente a la cámara es trasparente, en este caso la única manera de habilitar seria a través de un interruptor o en ocasiones mediante un atajo de teclado, para tu ordenador con Windows 8 de de fabrica (asumo) no tiene ninguna de las 2 opciones para habilitar, me inclino un poco a que el error es de hardware, en teoría Windows se encargaría.
Quizás como dices tu es un error entre hardware y software, pero no he podido detectar alguna manera de activar luego de que se presente el error.
Si le atribuimos el problema a Windows y no al hardware, se puede instalar otro SO, probar con un sistema Linux Ubunu podría ser no necesitarías instalarlo solo correrlo en modo live entrar a esta web http://www.testwebcam.com/ realizar el teste de la cámara, si te dice que no existe cámara o que conectes una el error es atribuible a hardware.

BSOD 0x0000007B after installing Ideapad s10e using RIS

Im getting a BSOD 0x0000007B after installing Ideapad s10e (4187-5LG) using RIS. All files are copied to the harddrive just fine but when it boots to start up in windows to finish the installation i get the BSOD. It seems the RIS server is missing the drivers for the harddisk controller.
In the download section for Ideapad s10e http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-71093 i can only find the Intel(R) Chipset Device Software XP which is said to have SATA storage support. After extracting the Chipset drivers i cant find any drivers i can use.
Any suggestions on how to solve this.

The preloaded Windows XP Home SP3 has the drivers needed for the ich-7 SATA controller on the Lenovo S10e: atapi.sys, pciide.sys and pciidex.sys - It is important to load the INF package during installation as it identifies the hardware correctly to Windows. The package has a readme file on how to perform an unattended install, and Intel has more downloads and information in case you are trying to install other than XP.

Quick Internet Startup of Ideapad S10e

Can somebody help with my problem. I just bought an Ideapad S10e. I can logon to Internet while I am at Window XP o/s mode. However, I failed to get connection at the quick start mode. I have checked that I can hook on to my wi fi. Any suggestions??

Ideapad S10e wireless problems on Linux

Hi all,
I have an Ideapad S10e running SUSE and Ubuntu Linux. With SUSE, the machine recognises wireless networks, but can only maintain a live connection for a few minutes; then I have to re-find and re-connect. With Ubuntu, it doesn't recognise any wireless networks at all. The wired ethernet connection works fine.
Any ideas on how to fix the wireless situation (a new Broadcom driver?) would be greatly appreciated. I'm moderately tech-literate so this experiment with an open-source OS may have been a bad idea...

Ideapad s400 no me anda la camara web

Hola tengo un problema con mi ideapad s400 la reinstale windows y le puse windows 7 de 64 bits!, el tema es que no me anda la camara wab! en el administrador de dispositivos me figura como instalada y habilitada! pero cuando quiero utilizarla con skype o con las videos llamadas de facebook, ambos programas me dicen que no me reconocen la camara o no la detectan! probe de cambiarle los drivers y nada! la verdad que no se que hacer! descargue los drivers de la camara de esta pagina las dos opciones que te me daba y nada! Ademas de esto en el administrador de dispositivos me sale un "dispositivo Desconocido" que no lo reconoce winddows y no se de donde descargarle el driver . en el id del dispositivo dice "root\lenovoVhid" espero que me puedan ayudar con eso! muchas gracias.

Tu s400 tenia Windows 7 como sistema operativo pre-instalado?
Desde administrador de dispositivos / dispitivos e imagenes quita el controlador, en teoria dices que este esta instalado y funciona, luego instala este controlador http://support.lenovo.com/es/es/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-s-series-netbooks/ideapad-s400-notebook/downloads/DS030370 , reinicia figurara en administrador de dispositivos?, de ser el caso realiza un test de la cámara web http://www.testwebcam.com/

IdeaPad S10e, How to recover default resolution?

I opened "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver For Mobile". Then I adjusted some resolution because I was adding some USB TV tuner to the computer and when the application was started, the application told I should choose resolution 800x600 or better. When I chose this, I found out the windows does not fit into the screen anymore. Now the problem is that the default resolution for this laptop can not be recovered anymore. How can it be done?

Ideapad s10e battery life...

Hi,
I've started having problems with the battery life on my s10e. The battery won't hold a charge for me than about 10 minutes, I've had the machine under a year.
I couldn't find a support / warrenty email to send a request for a new battery too so I thought I'd see if anyone here can suggest something for me.

Lenovo Ideapad s10e Keeps Restarting after Splash Screen

Hey, my Lenovo s10e perpetually restarts after the Lenovo splash screen. The blinking cursor comes up for 5 seconds and then the computer restarts again. F1 for system bios or F8 for safe mode do not work. Taking out battery/AC and holding power button for 40 secs also yields no results.
Computer had been working fine, when inexplicably the virtual memory shot up and the paging file had to be increased. Tried to shut down the computer but it wasn't responding, so I did so manually. I have not been able to get the computer to boot up properly since.
I spoke with Lenovo on the phone and they said it was a motherboard issue, and the computer had to be sent in. Was wondering if anyone had some other possible solutions before I'm forced to ship it out.

Hey thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately, One Key Recovery does not do anything: splash screen and blinking cursor come up before restarting again. I also wouldn't want to do anything that makes me lose my data.
Lenovo support said they would be able to fix it without reformatting HD, so I guess I'll have to go that option...unfortunately, max estimate is $575.

Keyboard gone crazy - writes 'pl' when stroking 'l' etc - on IdeaPad S10e

Suddenly the keyboard is acting very strange - many of the keys is writing something different than what it should. Even dobbelt (and different) characters appears when stroking the key once.
Anyone who have a suggestion how to fix?

Hi you are welcome, and greetings to copenhagen ... sorry i must laughing about "dobbelt" .double...
Now , give you the same hint... try your keyboard in Quickstart ...
or if you have a optical usb-drive check with linux-live-CD ... or a USB-Flash-Device with bootable Ubuntu ...
or borrow from friend... to check out if this crazy keyboard is still under linux or Quickstart (small Linux)...
if it works in normal condition ...there is something wrong with your XP (virus....)
recover your Windows XP...
if you have the same in Quickstart you have to call your local lenovo service...
