Cambria Math Font has too much leading

Hi all,
We are working on a math-intensive product that requires a wide range of math symbols. For this, we are using Lucida Sans Unicode, which is fine. We select that font and input the codepoint using the Char Palette.
There are some symbols, however, that Lucida Sans Unicode cannot render. The other obvious font (as far as I can tell) is Cambria Math, made by Microsoft and shipping with all Windows OSs. When we try that font, however, its behavior is strange in Frame: when you try to select a character formatted with this font, the cursor appears to grab several lines both above and below it, although it really is just selecting what you wish. This affects the usability in Frame but we can live with that.
The problem is that it then renders in some browsers with a very large amount of leading above and below. Firefox and IE render it properly; Chrome and Safari create extra leading.
Has anyone else used this font and seen similar issues? If we cannot tweak something to get this font to work, we'll have to find another -- any font suggestions for fonts with large sets of math symbols would be appreciated.

gains a generous number of hits, including this one on MSDN:
font metrics are wrong for Cambria Math
There are similar complaints about Arial Unicode MS.
It would seem that Mr. Bill is incompetent at typography.

When I print a Word for Mac document to a shared printer (that is connected to my iMac) from my Macbook Pro, print preview looks fine but the printed page has too much blank space at the top and doesn't print the bottom few lines. I have tried to adjust the margins and the page setup settings but to no avail. It used to print fine until recently. Is there a way to fix it so that the printer prints what print preview shows?

I should add that when I e-mail this document to myself and print it directky from the iMac, it prints fine.

Photshop Elements 9 Interface has too much contrast

Hi. I like the new version 9. But I don't like the interface. Why did they change it. It was great in Photoshop Elements 7. And they even had a option to adjust the appearance option. Not now though. To me it has too much contrast. Why did they have to leave out that option. The new interface is too bright and too dark. Oh well. I guess I will have to get use to it. I wish CS4 had a interface like Photoshop 7. Here's a screenshot of Photoshop 7.

Hi. I will get the new version. But I just wish it could have the option to change the interface like Elements 7. The best looking version in my opinion. They should have made CS5 look like Elements 7 too. Black interface is the new thing. Not dull dingy gray like CS5 is. It looks like the Windows XP classic themes. Boring. I like subtle black like beautiful Elements 7.

Hi everyone, I had this problem but none of the solutions above worked. What happened with me, and with others in other forums, is that a particular thread or message was causing the problem. I'd go to open the message and all I'd get was a white screen with the blue bar at the top. So, I went into contacts, pressed 'send message' to a contact whose message wasn't causing the problem, then I pressed back to messages. You then swipe to the left on the thread that's causing the problem, and delete it. Sadly this means you will lose all that person's messages, but you can try opening it from there and deleting it on the thread. Didn't work for me though. Hope that helps! It was the only thing that worked for me after about three days of total frustration and resetting!

C100 has too much green in the video, doesnt disappear when adding magenta

So last night I was just doing some testing with the c100 and I noticed that in the viewfinder after auto white balancing, there ws a bit too much green in spots where there relly shouldnt be. I took some video and wanted to see if this was just something in the LCD screen or the actual video, and the green cast was indeed in the video. I went into the color profiles and tried adding magenta but it actually did nothing to reduce the green in the areas I was seeing it in and only made everything else more magenta.
I'm just wondering if this is a known issue or if anyone has experienced this and if there;s any real fixes.

We are sorry to hear that you are still having issues with the color casts. I suspect that this has a lot to do with the color temperature of the lighting that you are shooting in. What you have shown us is indoors, it's hard to make a distinct determination on the lighting because you could have any number of temperature bulbs in the mix. This type of mixture of lighting can have distinct effects on the color casts you see in the final image. This is especially true if shooting with household bulbs in an overhead or something to that effect.
What I would suggest would be to shoot outdoors, with the camera calibrated for such, and see if the same effect occurs. Lighting indoors can be very tricky and most videographers shooting in a professional environment use specialized lighting to correct for such casts and work with a colorist in post production to correct for exacting color.

IMovie HD - Trouble! Video is skipping like it has too much information??

On my current iMovie HD project, the Video portion of the playback is skipping during the last song I am working on. It's almost like there is too much information during that song, but I have not added transitions, sound effects, etc to the clips.
I have tried deleting song and adding a different song, same problem. The other 30 minutes of the movie play perfectly.

Thank you Jason for responding so quickly. I clear the auto-linking and do my own linking between tables. As you said, "there's nothing smart about CR's smart links".
And I was referring to Microsoft SQL Server 2005 version 9.0.3073. The problem I initially had was linking CR to the server. Thankfully I had a lot of help from the linking forum that helped me with it. I'm running Windows 7 and it appears the operating software has two ODBC one is 32 and the other 64. In the ODBC Data Source Administrator the user DSN is set to the SQL Server.
Back to this problem. Trying to figure out the double item numbers and I have tested it with only that one particular table and did not link it to another. I also have tried it with linking it to other tables to see if somehow that could put a restriction on the information. The parameters really doesn't work here unless I'm setting it up incorrectly. Nor does the Select Expert really do what I need it to do. The options I can choose from: Itemnumber: is any value, is equal to, is not equal to, is one of... nothing gives me the option to say only choose the child if the child was purchased. And I'm not advance enough to figure out a script to do it.
Per sales order (I have the report to group by the sale order number) I need it to list the correct item that was purchased by the customer. The report pulls into the detail section of the report the parent and child item number when only the child item was ordered and not the parent.

HP Photosmart A616- Photo printing colour has too much blue tone

Hi,
I have a HP A616 photosmart. It was purchased a while ago, as well as the ink cartiage. Recently when I set it up to try on the printing quality, I realsed all photos that I printed contain too much of blue tone in them. I can still see the different colour in each photo but they are covered by a layer of blue colour on them. I didn't chose black& white or other colour function. Just the normal printing quality.
Has anyone experience the same with this device? Or any soloution or what way go wrong?
I was thinking could it be due to the ink cartiage used? It was stored for almost a year before I took it out to use.. will storing ink cartiage for a long period of time could damage the ink???

My screen has too much contrast

There is something wrong with my screen and it is hard to describe. The contrast or brightness is off and I have tried callibrating it using the color calibrator at least 100 times and it does not change it. When i turn my computer on, for the first 5 seconds or so it has normal color but then it goes back to this messed up brightness or something and i just need it to go back to normal somehow. Is there any way i can just go to restore default settings or something? Anything will help.

Just had to reply as well. I had the exact same problem as Jenny after my 16-month old son got ahold of the keyboard. It was driving me crazy! Your fix solved it right away. Thank you sooo much.

Something changed in my Firefox display. It is now showing a large amount of space between text. Also, the fields for data entry have increased their size. Text size is okay. Thank you for your help.

Phone screen has too much white on it.

I've had my blackberry torch for almost two years now and I've either had to have it replaced or get it repaired about 7 times now. Now, the issue it that the screen has white lines going down it. They begun only ONE WEEK after I had gotten my phone back from repair after having the whole screen gone white, making it unuseable. But then white lines begun coming up on the right hand side, but as I need my phone for work, I couldn't deal with having my phone in repair for another week, but now it's gotten really bad and takes up about 70% of the screen. So I was wondering if there was anything I could do to fix it? My contract runs out in about a month so I'm not bothering with repairing it, I just want something I can actually use for emails etc until then....

My iTunes library has too much on it. is there a way to export it to an external hard drive and play movies from there?

I have nearly filled up my hard drive with movies on itunes. i know i can export everything to an external hard drive, but is there a way to export only the movies, delete those from my hard drive, and then play the movies with the external hard drive connected?

Title has too much black time

When I add a title to the movie, the title scrolls by very fast and then I have a number of seconds of black before my movie begins. I have tried to alter the speed and the pause, but I can't change the length of time the black stays on the screen. Any Ideas?

Click on the title clip that you have placed in the timeline to highlight it and then set the playhead where you want to edit out the black bit. Under Edit, click on Split Videoclip at Playhead. Then click on the unwanted clip to highlight it and hit delete.

ITunes remote has too much influebce

Every time I turn my iPod remote control on/off or up/down, both mine and my partner's iTunes on our Macbook Pros spring into life, playing music, so we get three songs playing – even if iTunes wasn't open on the computers.
When the phone rings, I press pause to stop the iPod playing and both computers kick in.
Is there any way I can set the preferences in iTunes NOT TO OPEN when remote control is pressed?

Thanks Chris. Maybe I didn't explain myself well, though. In my living room there is an iPod under my TV attached to my sound system.
There are also two Macbook Pros with their iTunes apps closed.
When I hit pause on my iPod remote, the following happens:
1) the iPod pauses, which is what I want.
2) the iTunes apps on both Macbooks launch by themselves and start playing music.
Even when I hit the remote's volume control to increase or decrease the iPod's volume, the iTunes apps on the computers launch by themselves and start playing.
When I go to iTunes > Preferences > Devices and click on Forget All Remotes, as you suggest, I receive the following message:
'No remotes are currently used with iTunes'
Which is patently not true.

Too much spacing in grid layout

Hello,
I have a grid layout in a tootlbar of my table, it has too much spacing in it, the lowest span I could get was "L1" for large screen which is all I care about.
I have 3 buttons and I want them next to eachother instead of all that spacing inbetween them and then I want the daterangescroller on the far right but its as far right as I can get it to be without disappearing, is this normal?

This is exactly starting to looking like what I want but it is only showing the very first button, not showing the second or third, and the daterangerscroller is exactly where I want too, if I could get to the 2 other buttons to show that would be exactly what I want.
