Camera app error?

Having had sd issues from day one i contacted sony and did the repair-reinstall option through pc companion.this sorted a couple of issues but not totally however also seems to have thrown up a new one.at least i hope it's an error not just how it's meant to be. I know the scene selection is only meant to work in manual mode as sadly is the full resolution, seriously sony who's genius idea was that! However the scn and hdr modes will not work on manual on anything over eight mp. Just a little bit rubbish. Please someone is this a software error or a major design flaw

D'oh thought i had it sussed. Using camera flv app to allow me to select high speed shots at full resolution.they save to internal memory fine.tried using the transfer to sd option in settings and every photo from that app corrupted.i realise you can't save to sd as you take them as not supported but why can they not be transferred days later to free up space?are they not just jpeg images?

  • Beginner "Hello Camera" App Sample Errors

    Hello,
Can anyone help me out. I was trying to recreate the "Hello Camera" app sample but I keep getting these errors. I'm assuming that the instructions follow those necessary for an earlier version, especially because of all the deprecation errors. I thought I fixed the codes to the new ones being used in Xcode 5.0 though. I've tried looking up how to fix these errors and I can't find anything that helps. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.
    Thank you!

Your errors do not match the lines indicated. Try to clean project and rebuilt. Aside from that, your errors look pretty straightforward. Follow the suggestions to fix them.

  • Camera App - Not Working "error.4003"

I am receiving the error.4003 for the camera app. This affects both camera and video modes. The front facing camera does not work through the camera app, but works fine if used via the video chat app. This appears to be a software error as the touch screen interface controls in the camera app are not completely functional or have a severe response time lag as compared to normal touch screen response time.
Apparently worked fine a month ago. Pictures taken looked great.
At first the error message received on the camera app stated camera was already in use. Not the error above is all I get.
I've done research via the Web and the only responses thus far is to send this into RIM. But too many people are experiencing this error and the posted ideas on other forums are either questionable or IMO not acceptable.
Also the screen capture cameramode works fine. No problems.

From everything I hear 4003 is a "hardware" malfunction.
It happened to me as well right AFTER the 1032 OS upgrade - how's that possible>?
Probably blows a resister or something.
I had warranty left -and got a brand new Playbook in return this week. The turnaround took only a few days by FedEx.
Why so fast? It can't be fixed - so they're just tossing the old ones and replacing them.
I received a brand new identical model (32g) - however it wanted to go to the 1032 upgrade step during intial setup.
i was hoping to avoid that. Did it anyway - no choice.
Happy to report - cameras are both working.
NO explanation of the hardware fault by RIM - what it is or what causes it.
If you have warranty - just call support. They're breaking it somehow - it's not YOU!
Get it replaced before your warranty runs out.

  • Did the ios 8.3 update now i can tview photos from the camera app and the photos wont save to my photos app.

I just did the  new ios 8.3 update for my iPhone. I've been trying to take pictures from the camera app and it wont allow me to click on the picture to view it  and none of the new photos are saving to my photos app or if you send a picture through text it doesn't save the original to the photo app either. is this a problem with the new version of ios or have a maybe selected something to not allow me to add more photos? I only have 400 photos saved on my phone so its not a fact of not having enough space. any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hello Mark Entel,
I have the same problem with my Hyundai Sonata 2011.
I am already wrote a bug report to apple. Here i will past it again:
    Hello,
I have a problem with synchronization.
    Here steps to reproduce it:
    1. Plug iPhone with iOS 8.3 via Original Cable ( USB + 3.5mm on 30 pin) + original adapter from 30 pin to lighting.
    2. Verify that music plays and iPod menu successfully loaded.
    3. Unplug cable from iPhone.
    4. Plug it again.
    expected result:
    - Ipod menu Loaded. The song plays from place where it was stopped by unplugged.
    actual result:
    - initialization error
    My Device: Iphone 5s
    IOS: 8.3
Car: Hyundai Sonata 2011 (YF ; 6 generation)
On all previous IOS it was worked fine.
    Fix for this issue:
    - Reboot phone and plug it again. But after unplug and plug it again the issue still reproducible. Only reboot can helps.
    Please try to fix it.
    Kind Regards, Vladislav Ishkov

  • Camera app doesn't work after installing a new screen

I have been fixing broken iPhone screens for quite some time now but have never come across something like this. After installing a new screen the camera app won't show the camera and the shutter never opens. I thought I didn't put one of the cables in right so I double checked and sure enough they were in good. I restored the phone and tried it again with no luck. I then switched out to another screen I found and the camera worked perfectly. This is so bizzarre to me but can anyone explain to me what is wrong? Or what has happened? I have never seen anything like this.

I keep getting an error message of (0xE80000001)!

  • App Error 523

    Hey Folks,
Im in a bit of a bother. 3 weeks ago, i went to goa for a few days off. I had switched off my phone, and when i landed, i turned it on in order to call the hotel. When i did turn it on, i got this white screen which simply said "app error 523" and gave me only one option, to reset. When i did reset the phone, it came back to the same screen, and now......thats all my blackberry does. Its a 8520 by the way. I cant put in my SIM PIN, i cant make a call, i cant plug it into a computer, i cant do anything with it basically. Its just dead.
SO!!! Since it is still under warranty, i gave it to Jumbo Electronics, hoping theyd be able to fix it up for me. I have specifically asked them to keep my data, because i have business contacts that are vital to my work on there. Now, Jumbo called me up, and said they cant make my phone functional, without reformatting the entire device, and losing all of my data.
Now, no offence to Jumbo, but i doubt they have the proper expertise to deal with this. As far as i can see, they are just plugging it into a PC and reformatting it like anyone could do.
Which is why i turn to you guys. Is there any way, any at all, that i can keep my data and use my phone ever again??
I havent ever backed it up, not that i would remember doing it, but i doubt i have. Is there any way i can fix this up??
Please please please help me out, im so sick of this. I did nothing wrong whatsoever, and now im losing time, and money i could have been making, as well as a constant headache.
Appreciate all your suggestions and responses.
    Thanks and Cheers,
    Gaurav

    Hi
If you have never done a back-up of your device, then you will lose all your personal settings, contacts etc. Reformatting basically means reloading the software which will completely wipe out the data.
The ONLY possibility is that you have connected to the PC using the Desktop manager or Software and did inadvertantly do a back-up. If you never connected them don't bother trying to find the file, if you did it has the extension .ipd and so is easy to find in a search.
Otherwise the Jumbo guys are quite right. Sorry.

  • Best API for video camera app

Hi. Which Directive/Class will be the better choice if your app is mainly a video camera app. I saw about 3 different Classes to capture videos. I'm currently using Microsoft.Devices/CaptureDevice to capture video. It looks limited to me because found
out I can't pause==>resume a recording. And what about Zooming? Can you tell me which way I want to go if I want to make sure my camera functionality is powerful? Which directive/class and if possible some code example on how to use it and maybe how to
zoom, focus ect. Thank you very much

I'm now using AudioVideoCaptureDevice to capture video and I can do that but the app crash when I try to set the source for the capture device in InitializeVideoRecorder(). Can you take a look and tell me what I'm doing wrong?

  • Default Camera App Tile Missing and Won't Launch from c:\windows\camera. Also missing from Windows Store to reinstall.

    Hi There,
I am deploying a custom windows 8.1 enterprise image via SCCM to Surface Tablets in our corporate environment.  We currently are using windows 8 ONLY on surface hardware.
We only have 4 in the wild but all are having the same issue.  The camera app tile/shortcut is missing from the all applications menu.
If I try to launch it from the c:\windows\camera folder i receive an error regarding Windows.UI.Xaml.dll as I believe it needs to be  called via the modern environment (not desktop).
It dose not appear to be a hardware issue as third party camera apps seem to work.
Also, when i search for the app in windows store it cannot be found.  I can find it when i search the store via IE but when I click on the link to open it in the windows store i am only presented with the stores front page.
Any advice would be appreciated as my users are keen to use the camera on their surface pro 3's.
    Thanks

This sounds as though the Camera app has become corrupt in your image. I would attempt to reimage one of the devices with a vanilla environment to see if the issue appears, if not, I would
evaluate the difference between the Camera app in the vanilla environment and the production environment. Specifically, you may need to ensure that the correct version of Camera is provisioned in the base image.

    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

  • Cannot connect to PC. App Error 200 keeps coming up.

I have a BlackBerry Curve 9380. While charging the battery an update came up on the PC to download. Since downloading the update, I cannot turn the phone on or navigate. The Blackberry name comes up and the line scrolls across the bottom then a white screen with App Error 200 (Reset) shows on the screen. When I reset, it goes through the same things and then stays on. I took it to a Bell store and they could not correct this problem and suggested I try you. I have tried reloading the desktop software, and taking the battery out and the problem still exists. Any help you could provide would be much appreciated.

  • App Error 200???? Desktop Manager not connecting to Device??

I am officially out of ideas for what to do with my phone!!
I changed my pay as you go tariff yesterday and in order to reset the phone to get my internet settings I switched off the handset and turned it on again.
When I turned it back on it started to load as normal then came up with  "App Error 200" message. I have done a hard reset and even after taking out the sim and battery it still wont work.
I know I can change things on my Desktop Manager, but that now wont recognise the phone is connected. I have gone to the 'Options' button (top right hand corner) and applyed the USB connection but is still wont work!!
Can anyone help as I am totally lost and have lost all patients!!!!
    Thanks

If that still doesn't work you will need to do the following:

    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/What_to_do_next_if_Jl_Cmder_will_not_connect_and_wipe
Then reload the OS from the thread below:
    http://www.blackberryforums.com/general-8900-series-discussion-javelin/227412-os-8900-v5-0-0-1168-5-...
You can use the OS in the download link in the thread above or you can download from your own carrier (doesn't matter where it comes from) but be sure and use the instructions in the above thread to install it.
If you didn't have a backup from before this happened you will lose your data.

  • App error 523 reset... PLEASE HELP!!!!

First I lost my camera app. Then I started getting the message:APP ERROR 523. RESET.
    Help needed.

    1) Make sure you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    2) On your PC, go to Start > Run and copy and paste the following line exactly (meaning with the quotation marks):
    "c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe" /nojvm
    3) The Application Loader Wizard will appear -- click "Next."
    4) In the "Connection:" drop-down menu, you should see "USB-PIN: UNKNOWN". Click the "Next" button.
    5) You should then see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Hit Next and Finish and you are well on your way to getting your Blackberry back to life. Congrats! Just don't disconnect anything and let the lengthy process finish completely.
NOTE: If you do not see a list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead see the message "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator," then you must download Blackberry's Operating System for your carrier and device.
BlackBerry Device Operating System downloads: http://www.blackberryforums.com/blackberry-device-specific/
Just select the appropriate device model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the above steps again and you should be on the right path.
IF the above does not work or help, You will need to use JL_Cmder to wipe the device and subsequently load the OS to the device. Follow the instructions here:
    Download JL_Cmder http://www.blackberryforums.com/rim-software/18789-jl_cmder.html
    or download BBSAK http://bbsak.org/download.php
If JL_Cmder does not work, you can try this:
    KB10144, http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10144
    and this: KB20371 http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB20371

  • Torch App Error 606 + Can't connect to desktop Manager

    Hi,
I was backing up my blackberry torch last night and the connection was disconnected during the backup. When the phone restarted the message "App Error 606" / "Reset" came up. I can't do anything on my phone except for reset it, and pulling the battery does nothing.
When I try to connect it to blackberry desktop software it wont connect... I left it for an hour and it still just said that it was connecting.
I also tried connecting to BBSAK and it couldn't connect there either, so I can't reset it to factory settings. I checked the desktop manager and it recognizes the USB port as connected to a blackberry device but that is about as close as I can get to connecting to anything.
I have a backup of all of my information from before this happened so I don't mind completely resetting my phone, but I have no idea how to do this without being able to:
    a) connect it to the computer
    b) do anything except reset on the phone
    Any help would be great!
    Thanks,
    Mike

Try in Safe mode, remove last installed 3-th-party appliction, may be it's help you?
    Safe mode:
When starting the BlackBerry smartphone, safe mode can be used to prevent third-party applications from running automatically. Safe mode is designed to allow troubleshooting or remove any unwanted applications.
To turn on safe mode, complete the following steps:
Remove and reinsert the BlackBerry smartphone battery.
When the red light-emitting diode (LED) light goes out, press and hold the Escape key as the BlackBerry smartphone is loading. See KB05470 for the location of the Escape key. (The Escape key is located on the right side of the trackball, above the keyboard on the BlackBerry smartphone.Use the Escape key to exit a screen, move back a page in the browser, close a message, or close a menu.)
When the dialog box appears, click OK.
Note: Safe mode is indicated by a safe mode indicator in the BlackBerry smartphone status section of the Home screen.
To turn off safe mode, remove and reinsert the BlackBerry smartphone battery.
