Camera App issue deleting last-photo thumbnail

When you preview a picture just taken in the Camera App, you are given the choice of deleting that picture. But since the reduced image of the picture you want to delete is not immediately replaced or removed for the lower left corner of the Camera App, it can happen that you try to repeat the deletion only to find out that you are actually deleting another picture.

Note that the small picture is not updated imediatelly, so you might think you failed the delete option selection and repeat the process (in the meanwhile the small picture remains unchanged on screen, showing the picture you already issued a delete command for). In this way you get to unnintentionally delete the previous picture.
Problem: The picture that is shown in the lower half of the screen is just the one BB camera app "thinks" is the last available, and not the one the delete ou share command are being actually acted uppon. The preview for the last picture is taking too long to update after you issue a delete command.

Iphone 6 plus 64Gb camera app issue

Would like to find out whether do you face similar issues as me as per below problem encounter:
When launching the camera app, upon taking video/slow mo video, when i switch to photo/square mode, the screen will hang.

Well my camera app that comes with the iphone that will not allow you to delete it well it just disappeared and I cant take any pictures now

Ios 5.0.1 Walpaper, and camera app issues

At one point my phone wouldn't allow me to save new pictues. If i wanted to take and keep a picture i would have to take it in the message.app and send it to myself or another. this issue was resolved when i restored the phone.
However, a new isssue has come to my attention, and restoring did not fix it. I changed the background on my phone to a picture accidentially, when i went to change it back to one of the stock wallpapers they were all gone, just a blank white page was shown when I clicked the wallpaper.
Any thoughts?

Try closing the Camera app completely and see if it works when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Camera 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

HT201317 Will photos deleted from camera roll be deleted in photo stream?

There is so many contradicting answers online! I just want to take more photos and keep the ones I have. So, if I delete my camera roll, with the photo stream "backed-up" w/ iCloud, will the photos in photo stream be untouched?

I found that in my iphone 5 recently upgrade to iOS 8.1, I found that the photo in camera roll deleted, the same photo in photo stream will delete along. How to only delete photo in either camera roll or photo stream without delete once for both camera roll or photo stream ?

The best app for deleting duplicate photos in iPhoto 9

Hi, I have stumbled upon many duplicates /triplicate photos in my iphoto library. I was wondering what is the best app/program to use to eliminate the photos to free up space on my macbook.
I have seen a few posts suggesting apps but many had just as many cons for the pros....I have no problem paying for an app but do have a problem if I can not be reimbursed in the event the app doeesnt work.....
I do have all my pictures saved to the main "photos" section of the library as well as in seperate folders in "events"
To clarify, it is while looking at the main photo library is where im finding the duplicate and triplicate photos.

That sounds like an issue with iPhoto. To make sure it's not the applicaiton create a new test library, import a number photos and import half of them again. Then try the iPhoto Dupoicate Cleaner again.
The only aspect of the app that I don't like is that it doesn't let you mark the files as duplicates instead of moving them to the Trash. iPhoto LIbrary Manages has several options:
But Duplicate Cleaner for iPhoto found all of my duplicates in my test library. Just be careful to not empty the iPhoto Trash bin until you've previewed the selection.

i have the iphone 4, when downloading music to my phone the software updated to iOS 5.0.1. It deleated all of my apps and my photos, etc. Any idea where to find all of my "stuff'.

You can also restore from iTunes or iCloud backup if you have one.

IPhoto imported photos off of my camera and then deleted the photos from the camera. Within a few minutes, I dropped my safe on the power strip and it shut off the computer and now the photos seem to be missing. Any ideas how to restore them?

Does anyone know where they might have gone? The irony is that I was about to back them up onto an external hard drive...

Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Camera Roll is not the same in Camera app vs Photos app ???

iPhone 4S issue...
I just got a new iPhone 4S. Restored from a 3GS backup.
I noticed yesterday that some of the photos that I took with the built-in Camera app aren't showing in the Camera Roll. Specifically, the last 3 pictures that I took plus a couple three other older ones. But it only happens when I view the Camera Roll through the Camera app. Using the Photos app I can see all the photos I've taken.
- When viewed from the Photos app, the "Albums" list says "Camera Roll (254)" and all photos show up.
- When I open the Camera app and click on the picture thumbnail in the bottom left and it opens the Camera Roll it says "248 of 248" at the top of the screen and I can't see my last three photos plus a couple more other older ones. They're not in the thumbnail index and I can't swipe to them from the individual photo display. Again, this is when viewing the Roll from the Camera app.
- I have no other Albums but "Camera Roll". None of the photos have been edited either.
I called Apple support and they instructed me to reboot my iPhone. This didn't change much except now the last "missing" photo shows up as the small thumbnail in the lower left of the Camera screen. But when I click to view the Camera Roll, it's still nowhere to be found (along with the other "missing" ones). The Photos app still shows all of them just fine.
What the heck is going on? It sounds like a bug to me... the Camera app and the Photos app should be pulling the same data, right?
Apple support suggested that I connect it to my Mac and do a Restore. Even if this works, it doesn't give me much confidence that it won't happen again as it seems like a bug. Should I report it?

im also having a problem on my iPhone 4 that just started today, about 100 or so photos and videos just completely disappeared.. basically it shows the last 4-5 photos that i took, and then the first 50 or so.. everything in between is gone.
when i view from the camera vs the photos app the last 4-5 differ.. so who knows *** is going on...
but if you download a program called iExplorer you can view and download everything, as all the files are still there

Camera App Photo Preview Blurry

Heres an interesting issue i found on my iPhone 5. If i use the camera app to take a photo, then swipe left to view the photo. The last taken photo is extemely blurry. Most camera preiews do this then load the clear photo, but thisone stays blurry. Ifi go into the photos app and view the photo its ok, also if i rotate the screen on the blurry photo it will be clear again. Anyone else having this issue? It is bothersome asi always swipe left to check the photo i just took. Have tried restarting camera app and hard reset. I imagine Apple could release a software fix for this?

Wow I'm surprised no one is talking about this yet. My brother found this happening in his iphone 5 within a matter days of use. He told me about it and now that i just got my iphone 5, i discovered it to be true myself.
This occurs regardless whether the camera app is launched from the lock screen or home screen. It seems to happen only when you swipe right from the camera view to get a quick glance at your photos. The last photo will appear blurry when viewed through the swipe method rather than the traditional method of doing so through tapping the box on the lower left . Like Egibbys21 described, rotating the photo will clear it up. However I found that this problem repeatedly happens when a newer photo is taken in the opposite orientation of the last. Also, so long as the blurry view isn't cleared up through rotating the photo like how Egibbys21 described, all last taken photos, regardless of orientation, will appear blurry when viewed through swipe method.
It is somewhat unfortunate and seems either users don't use the swipe function like they do in windows phone, or those photos have been largely mistaken as truly blurry. I hope others will be able to duplicate this issue and bring this up.

Is it possible to rename photo in the "camera roll" OR reset the photo number in iphone 4s? (Clearly explained the situation)

Hi everyone, nice to meet you all. This is my first discussion starting in here and nice to meet you all. I used Android device before and this is my first apple mobile that I owned. I am using iphone 4s. (5.0.1)
I have search a lot but no answer that how can I rename the photo in the camera roll in iphone or in Windows 7.
What I want to do is:
I have IMG_0006, IMG_0007, IMG_0015, IMG_0016, IMG_0017, total 5 files.
I want to change the name that make their sequence will become IMG_0001, IMG_0002, IMG_0003, IMG_0004, IMG_0005 and I want the following picture will take place in IMG_0006. (This is just what I want but it never happened)
but seems that I can't rename them and I have tried that if I take 2 pictures after IMG_0017, but I delete them (which is delete IMG_0018 and IMG_0019), then take another new picture again, it will name as IMG_0020 instead of IMG_0018.
Questions:
1. Are there any methods to reset the photo number by deleting file under the "PhotoData" that we can see in iPhone Explorer?
OR
2. Are there any methods to rename the photo in the "camera roll" folder?
I have tried to rename the photo directly in iPhone Explorer but it will make the photo cannot be read in iphone.
3. Is it possible that I can rename them directly and rebuild the camera roll by deleting the Photos.sqlite under the PhotoData folder to solve the unreadable problem in iphone 4?

There are no any options to let you choose "rename" in Windows 7 if you connect the iphone via USB
I have tried to rename the photo directly in iPhone Explorer but it will make the photo cannot be read in iphone and just got nothing to show on its screen until I rename it into the previos name again then the picture will show properly.
