Camera connector and Kodak camera

Hi all,
will my Kodak DX7630 camera be compatible with the iPod Camera connector? It doesn´t show up in the compatibility list, but perhaps it will although work...

The Camera Connector is a USB adapter. If your camera can unload via USB to a PC it should probably work. Haven't tried mine yet but it looks slick.
Actually I just did. Hooked up my Sony T1 docking station to it and it works great. Perhaps a little slower than to the G5 but very acceptable and potentially very handy.

  • IPad camera connector and Video cameras

Anyone has connected a video camera to the iPad through the camera connector and transferred videos?
Or transferred videos from a digital camera or on the SD card to the iPad?
Just wondering if it can be done.

I have done it successfully. However, for it to work the file format of the photos and videos have be supported by the iPad. Not all are. I have a Panasonic Video camera and video format is not supported so the I can't import it. It dose however import stills fine. ALso, the file structure in the camera has to have the photos and videos in a folder titled "DCIM". I have an old camera that does not transfer since its folder is named differently.

  • Camera connector and Canon Ixus 50 (Powershot SD400)

Has anybody had success using the camera connector and a Canon Ixus 50, aka Powershot SD400. I'm using a 40Gb ipod photo and when connected together the ipod just says 'connecting'and does nothing else.
I've also read in other posts that you have to navigate to a photo import menu - I don't have, well at least I don't have until the camera connector is plugged in, then it finds the hidden menu and trys to connect automatically.
    Is this the normal way?
The software on the Ipod is 1.2.1 (latest available)
The camera uses PTP and has USB2 output.
I recently changed the Ipod to windows format, as i want to use it for data storage while i go travelling for a year, and also to store my photos, and thought the camera connector would allow this, but as yet, no cigar.....
Any help would be much appreciated

    Moritz

ptp is to go to a printer. i have 3 transfer modes on my minolta and 2 on my sony, they both only work when they are in normal mode.
one quick note. i had a problem when i was transfering pics on one occasion, it just stopped mid-way and then would no longer recognise the camera. i turned both off then back on, nothing. i did the select+menu reset and everything was back to normal.
i am quickly finding that the camera connector is a finnicky piece now that i am looking to find a card reader that it will recognize. i doesn't recognise much. good luck

    Hey BBDunn,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
Just to clarify the update you did was for 10.0.10.116 and not 10.0.0.116? When taking a picture on the BlackBerry Z10 if you hold the smartphone it will automatically focus.
Did you do the update through BlackBerry Link or over-the-air wirelessly?
I would highly suggest you create a backup of your data through BlackBerry Link (Device>Backup), then perform a security wipe by going to Settings>Security>Security Wipe.
Then test the camera out prior to restoring any data.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.

  • Camera Connector with Cannon Camera

Hello. I have been having problems with uploading the photos from my Powershot SD400 Elph camera on to my 30GB Video ipod. I have downloaded photos on to my ipod before from the same camera and it worked. But now it isn´t working. I have followed all of the directions off the apple website about downloading/uploading photos with the camera connector and it still doesn´t work. I was wondering if someone could tell me what I need to do to make it work again? The camera, Cannon SD400 Elph is not listed as a compatible camera, however, the camera Cannon SD400 is listed as a camera that should work with the camera connector (from ipod). I am not sure if the inclusion of the word "elph" makes a difference. I am in somewhat of hurry to get any advice. Thanks for your help!

    Ivan,
The version 1.1 requirement refers to iPod photo software version 1.1 (for the older iPod)
The 5G iPod version of 1.0 should be compatible with the iPod camera connector.

  • My new MAC 10.10.3 will not recognize my Canon cameras or my Kodak camera.  Help from the Geek Squad was useless.

My iMAC 10.10.3 Yosemite will not recognize any of my two Canon cameras or my Kodak camera.  What's the solution?

Can you temporarily connect some other USB device to verify that your PowerBook's USB ports are in working order? Do you have another computer to which your camera can be connected to verify that a working USB connection is being made from the camera?
If we can somehow eliminate a hardware issue, then you can focus on software. Have you tried creating a new admin user account? If the new account recognizes your camera, it would narrow the problem down to something within your regular user account.

  • Transfering X.D CAM HD and HD CAM to Cineform Prospect HD.

Finally a decision has been made for our next feature. We will rend high end cameras in X.D CAM HD and HD CAM and we will edit in Prospect HD. I am still usure as to the simplest way to transfer the tape/disk footage to the hard drive for conversion to Prospect. What do I need to do that? Thank you.

I just spoke to a technician. He tells me the SDI cards have the added advantage of allowing an external HD monitor and allowing multiple in/out formats including YUV, HDMI, RCA, XLR, SDI, etc. This provides for a top of the line fleaxibility.
However... you only really need an SDI card for HD CAM and HD CAM SR. The X.D CAM HD format can be transfered though USB or Ethernet. This really tilts the balance in favor of X.D CAM HD which can de edited natively and without fancy add ons.
Back to HD CAM and HD CAM SR... these formats only make sense if you're going to stay uncompressed (Otherwise you may as well stay with X.D CAM HD or P2). HD CAM means more and faster storage and RAID 5! This means another add on and possibly an acceleration card to punch up the processing power.
The revised chart looks like this:
    FORMAT ACQUISITION
    HI-8....................RCA Cable (Requires card)
Betacam.................YUV Cable (Requires a YUV card)
HDV / DV................Firewire (Included on Motherboard)
    EX1.....................USB or SxS card reader
X.D CAM HD..............USB or ETHERNET (SDI optional)
HD CAM..................HD SDI + Raid 5 (Aja or Blackmagic card)
X.D CAM HD... it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.... :)

  • Camera connector and Samsung ST1000 - "too much power"?

I purchased my iPad primarily to take on an overseas holiday so that I could access my email; and
(ii) Download and manage photos off my Samsung St1000 digital camera.
I also purchased the camera connector. However, whenever I try and connect the camera via USB, I get a message that the "accessory is unavaile: The attached accessory uses too much power" and it won't let me access the photos to copy them across.
Any suggestions as to how I get around this problem?

Is the battery in the camera fully charged? Googling says the camera takes a micro SD card. There might be adopters that will allow putting the micro SD card in an adopter so you can use the camera connection kit SD card reader. Or you might be able to buy a USB micro
card reader and plug it into the camera connection kit USB connector.

  • Camera Connector and card reader

When I connect my compact flash card reader through the Camera Connector it immediately recognizes it and when I confirm I wish to load the pictures it will download many of the pictures ... then it just hangs.
It can't be a bad jpeg because each time I try it ... it hangs on a different picture.
I have tried several different compact flash cards and they all do the same.
The pictures which it loads are just fine.
I wouldn't think that it should be some kind of compatibility issue because it works straight away ...
If I quit out of the loading ... it will hang at that point.
When it hangs I must boot out of the condition.
    What would cause this?
    Anyone else experience this?

Uh hem, found the recent topic dedicated to this question. Unfortunately, not much is compatible!

  • I pod doesnt' work with the camera connector and Canon EOS 20D!

    iPod Camera Connector: Supported Devices
The iPod Camera Connector requires a Fifth Generation iPod, iPod photo (also known as iPod with color display) and a supported camera or media reader. Other iPods, including iPod mini, iPod nano, iPod (Click Wheel), and iPod shuffle, are not supported with the iPod Camera Connector.
The iPod Camera Connector supports cameras with USB connectivity based on the following commonly used protocols:
    PTP
    Type 4 (or Normal)
    Mass Storage
For the complete list of supported cameras and media readers, see this webpage.
If you're using Mac OS X 10.3.x, you can use Image Capture to quickly verify what protocol your camera supports. To do this:
    Connect your camera.
    Open Image Capture.
Click Options and then click Device Options.
You can also check your camera's owner manual or the vendor's website to find out what protocols your camera supports. Also see "iPod Camera Connector: Choosing a photo importing protocol on a camera" for additional information.

  • Camera Connector and Nikon D70

I just purchased my Video Ipod 60Gig and the Camera Connector. When I get the camera connected in PTP mode. The Ipod sees that the camera has 92 Raw images on it, but dies around 63 or 64 uploaded and just goes to the image upload menu. Does anyone know how to correct this problem. I need to figure out how to make this upload reliable before a long trip.
    Thanks.
Windows XP   Video Ipod Nikon D70s Camera Connector

    Hello,
I have tried all the steps contained in those
documents. I did manage one time to get the D70s to
import while in Mass Media mode. It stopped after 49
images. I have been able to sync using the camera
and cable to my computer. The Video Ipod just seems
to give up after awhile. Something else is going on.
    Hello
I have the same problem with my EOS 20D. For example, the Ipod sees 148 images on the CF card in my camera; the importation begins but stops after tranferring about 60 images.
    I'm using the PTP mode.
I don't know what the problem is, and, like you, I would like to use it on a 4 week trip without buying more CF card.
Does anyone have a solution to fix this problem?

  • Camera connector and the nikon D50

Recent attempts to use the ipod camera connector for with the nikon D50 have been unsuccessful. A month ago I had no problems. When I attempted this time, it downloaded 3 photos and the stopped and the "unsupported " notation came on the ipod. Why would it work earlier and not now?? (except for the 3 downloads). Any suggestions? Thanks.

No, the hardware is different. The new connector has hardware that facilitates movie rentals. It is possible that this interferes with the camera connector in the same way it does with a large number of other accessories that worked with previous generations of iPods with dock connectors but which do NOT work with the new iPods.
But it really doesn't matter. The "new" iPods have been out for almost six months. The camera connector was never a big seller. If it had been a money maker for Apple, they either would have release a new one or, in your theory, released a software upgrade so they could keep selling them. They haven't. The odds are that they never will. Go buy a stack of memory cards. They're cheap these days.
