No, the sd card came straight out of the camera, it works if I put it in my USB card reader then put the card reader into the iPad USB connector

  • Classic iPod Camera Connector and iPad

Does anyone know if the camera connector for the iPod classic will work with the iPad?

I have the iPod camera connector (I got it with my iPod photo) and it hasn't worked with ANY other iPods I've ever had since then. Since Apple is selling an adapter set specifically for the iPad, it's doubtful.

  • IPod Camera Connector for the iPod Touch

I have an iPod Camera Connector for a previous model of iPod. Now that I have an iPod Touch, when I try to use it I get an error message that states this device is not supported. Has iPod created a Camera Connector to upload pictures from a card larger than a 512mg card (ie a 2+ GB card or larger) that is supported by the iPod touch?
    Thanks,
    Denice

I don't believe so, as the iPod touch doesn't support "disk use" (it doesn't mount as a hard drive on your computer).

  • Camera Connector for Specific Photos

I am looking into buying a camera connector for my iPod photo. I just wanted to know a few things.
    1) Is it possible to connect it to a camera and choose specific photos to transfer or do you have to transfer all the photos in order?
    2) Once the photos are transfered, is it simple to transfer it onto the computer?
    3) Which connector is the best?
If anybody has any information about this Could you please reply and help me out?
    Thank You!

Yossie, Welcome to the discussion area!
Camera to iPod: All the photos are transferred from the camera to the iPod.
iPod to Computer: Just like you would transfer photos from your camera to your computer.
The processes are described in KB 301059, How to use the iPod Camera Connector.

  • TS2634 Can I use my old ipod camera connector with ipad [3]? I keep getting accessory not supported message

I have tried to use my old camera connector and it doesn't work. many posts indicate the new ones don't work either.  Anyone know if the USB camera connector would or should work with my ipad and my rebel T2i camera?  Would buying a new connector work?
    Thanks.

What do you mean by "old camera connector"? Do you mean the one that was put out years ago for the iPod? No, that doesn't work. The current Camera Connection Kit works just fine.

  • Lightning Camera Connector and iPad Air 2

Can I use the lightning camera connector to store and access files from my iPad Air 2 on an SDHC or Micro SD card WITHOUT loading the files into my on board memory?

If you are trying to get the devices to pair in Bluetooth, I don't think they will. The following instructions for Keynote Remote using Bluetooth state that Bluetooth must be turned on in both devices but does not state they must be paired. I don't know for a fact but I suspect that omission is intentional.  Using Keynote Remote - Apple Support
Following is more information on pairing iOS devices and using Bluetooth without pairing. It doesn't specifically mention Keynote however.: Bluetooth: Why can't I pair my iPhone or iPad with my computer?

  • HT4101 Lightning to USB Camera Connector & the IPad 4

When connecting the Lightning to USB Camera Connector to  the IPad 4; it is giving a MSG that the device requires too much power. Any suggestions??

What are trying to use it with ? If a flash drive or card reader then a lot of them require more power than is supplied to the kit, though a powered reader might work. If a camera then does the camera have a menu setting on it to enable Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP or Pictbridge) or Mass Storage Device - I know that some Canon DSLRs do, I'm not sure about other makes.

  • HT4106 Camera attachment for IPad.

I have been downloading photos from my camera onto my ipad using the apple adapter. It's now started to say that ' accessory attached uses too much power'. It does this even when the camera isn't attached. Help..I can't download my photos now. It didn't do this until today. I still have plenty of space on the iPad.
Thank you, I am travelling and want to be able to download photos as I go.

Not normal. Take the camera adapter to an Apple Store for evaluation.

  • Need a camera connection for iPad Air with iOS 8.1

help!  I'm leaving for Prague next week and I desperately need a camera connection kit for my Sony camera to my iPad Air!  I have one that I used on my old iPad, but obviously it doesn't work on the iPad Air!  All/any help will be much appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

Go to the Apple store and buy the camera connection kit. It provides a USB female connection, you supply the cable from the USB to your camera. Or order the kit from the Apple online store.

  • Usb connector for ipad? which is best? I want to connect my nike sport watch

Which usb connector is best for the ipad?  I want to connect my Nike sport watch to download my runs!

Unless there's an app, it won't communicate. The iPad has no file manager which is what a normal computer uses to communicate with other devices.
The USB will only work with downloading properly named photos and videos. It doesnt' work on anything else. (there are some older pages out there detailing how people used to be able to plug in keyboards and mice and headphones, but a 2011 software update reduced the amount of power allocated to the port, rendering most if not all of those unworkable)

  • Camera connector & Samsung TL220 ... not a good match

So, I got my camera connection kit and only one half of it is useful. I have a Samsung TL220 and when I plug it into the camera connector the iPad says "Accessory unavailable. The attached accessory uses too much power." What?!
Then I get "The attached volume could not be mounted." So, apparently, I can't use my Samsung directly with the iPad. I have to scoop out the microSD card and attach that way. No biggie there, but it sure would be nice to be able to directly mount the camera. Very annoyed by this.

And more info on this power thing ... I looked closely at my USB cable for my camera. It has one of those parts along the cable that is like an additional piece where the cable runs through it. I am assuming this is some type of power element or power safety gadget of sorts. So perhaps that is the problem.
Warning then, if you have a camera USB cable that is not a straight cable but has that additional piece on it, its likely too "powerful" to use as the USB plugin for the iPad camera connector. I'm just guessing here, but its the only thing that makes sense to me. And it's a shame. The Samsung has a specific connector on the camera so I can't use a replacement cable (standard USB).
The "additional piece" on your USB cable is called a +ferrite bead+. It has nothing to do with power and its purpose is to eliminate RF interference generated by the cable. This is not your problem.
Make sure the battery in your camera is fully charged before connecting to the iPad.

  • Third party camera connector

Does anyone know of a third party camera connector for the iPad? I am traveling before apple releases theirs.
    Thank you

Apple will be releasing a camera kit around the end of the month. You can find it on the iPad accessories page.

  • Camera connector is uploading photos as video

My daughter is overseas. She has the camera connector for her ipad 2. She was trying to upload pictures from her Nikon J1 to her ipad and they are coming in as 3second videos....  any suggestions?  She is uploading directly from the sd card.

My Nikon pictures have a .jpg file name. Videos have a .mov file name. What do hers have?
The camera connection kit is just a file transfer device. It can't change the file type.
