Camera does not focus

My camera worked fine yesterday, but today it won't focus. Any ideas? I cleaned the lens with my camera cleaner and also tried banging it on my hand as suggested in other posts. I am past the one year warranty and I am not due for an upgrade til September...

Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

The camera will not focus in the Instagram app either. I tried restarting the phone and resetting it but that has not fixed the issue. E5 - Camera does not focus ? Help.

I don't know why the camera on my E5 doesn't focus well. Cause when you usually point at something, the focus always starts to ... focus, but this doesn't. At all. Am I missing anything, cause it can't be this bad, right?

E5 camera does not focus, the quality of images is very low and have jagged edges. Though E5 has 5 megapixel camera, the images are no match to the images of my 2 megapixel - N97.
Nokia should have rectified this problem before releasing it. It must recall these mobiles and fix the problem. Will they?

Hey all I have bought Nokia E5 just couple of weeks ago. Camera does not focus well and the pictures are not clear. 3.2 MP Camera of my nokia N93 was alot better than its(E5) 5 Mega Pixel. I don't own an E5, but assume you know its camera uses a different focusing technology than most other Nokia phones, EDoF (Extended Depth of Field)? Camileo S10 Camera does not remember the image-stabilizer setting

Is it normal that my Camileo S10 Camera does not remember the image-stabilizer setting?
I mostly use the 720px setting and stablilizer on, but after the camera is turned off the stabilizer is off again.

This might be possible.
I remember that the focus does not work if the stabilization has been enabled
So maybe its an intention of the manufacturer that the stabilizer would be disabled again.

IPhone 4S camera will not focus

My iPhone 4S camera is not focusing, it is the camera on the back. One time I tried to take a photo of a document on paper and it just wouldn't focus on the writing, I turned my phone off and on and then it seemed to be working and focusing again. Recently today I tried doing the same thing but it wouldn't work. I tried turning it off and on but still no luck, a friend told me it was because of the 6.0.1 update that it wasn't focusing but I'm not sure. Hi SMoores10- Let's get that shutter snapping again! Does the camera respond to focus when taping the screen? Are you using the default Camera application? Does the camera respond the same when taking pictures with other apps like Instagram, Snapchat or 3rd party Camera app?

Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order

Take the iPhone to an Apple store genius bar for testing, and if it is defective and under warranty they will replace. Since you say iPhone 4, was this a used or refurbished iPhone?

Satellite M645-S4050: built in camera does not work correctly

My built in camera does not work correctly.
It does not have any kind of effect on and it captures pictures and videos as if some kind of thermal camera was on.
Also some videos I load up on youtube look like this.
I have been researching for an answer but can't find it, please help me.

All you can do is to test it with latest webcam driver.
Remove preinstalled camera software and install latest version offered on Toshiba download page.
If the same happen again visit nearest Toshiba service and show them how it looks like. Maybe the cam must be exchanged.
In the past I have used several Toshiba laptops with built in cam but I have never saw something lke this.

There's more than one type of reset ...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.
