Camera file 1422

我在使用1422采集卡连接相机时遇到一个问题,附件是相机文件,在NI max中打开时遇到一个错误,Error0xBFF60108:the camera file does not support the current interface type, 在相机文件里面已经有了Action (Interface, 1422) 。

Thank you for the reply.
We created that camera by ourselves. You may see it specification here : link.
The scan type is "line scan". There are 3 CCD lines 7926 x 1px 8 bits each with different parameters (1 line for red color, 1 for green and 1 for blue).
The data from that lines goes to a onboard imaging signal processor.
At the output of the camera (and the input for the NI 1422 card) we have signals: 2 parallel stream video data and one pixel clock value.
At the input for the camera we have to send: master clock value, enable bit (consnantly "1" after switching on) and data ready bit (switching from "0" to "1" when the new frame is required). 1 frame consists of 24064 8-bits values ( 7926 x 3 + 286 values of frame header data).
We have connected these pins:
(1422) pin 1, 2, 3, 4 to (camera) Data 1, 2, 3 ,4;
(1422) pin 41, 42 (Enable A) to (camera) "enable bit";
(1422) pin 43, 44 (Enable B) to (camera) "data ready bit";
(1422) pin 91, 92 (MasterClk0) to (camera) "master clock value";
(1422) pin 99, 100 (Gnd) to (camera) "gnd".
All other pins from the 1422 card are not used.
When i'm trying to set a width "7926" in NI Camera File Creator, i press "ok" and recieve an error: "Maximum Image Size has been adjusted to accomodate the Tap Configuration you selected." and then another error: "Fatal error ccured at: NI-IMAQ: The ROI width is not properly aligned. The total number of bytes bounded by the ROI width must be aligned to a 4-byte boundary." After that the program goes back to title menu with buttons: "Create New Camera File", "Open Existing Camera File", "Help" and drop-down list with NI 1422 card selected.
Kind regards, Alexander.

  • Camera File for Pulnix TM-6710

    I'm using Pulnix TM-6710 with NI PCI-1422.
I found camera file for TM-6710 from IMAQ folder.
But, I could not tell how to connect TM-6710 to PCI-1422. (There is no information at all in both NI and PULNIX).
    Pls, let me know,
    1. Pin connection btw. TM-6710 and PCI-1422
    2. Camera file for TM-6710 lists upto "Line (7)".
What is the physical pin numbers for Line (0) thru Line (7) ?
    3. The meaning of "Pattern", "Action (PG)", and "Line"
    in camera file.
    4. The meaning of "100, 3000" in "Line (7) { Start (High) 100, 3000 } "
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,
Attached is the pinout for the Pulnix TM-6710.
The Pattern, Action, and Line commands are used to control the pattern generation of the 1422 and should be transparent to the user. The NI-IMAQ driver level software uses these commands.
The numbers you are referencing in question four are used to set a minimum period for the overall pattern generation cycle and should also be transparent to the user.

Is it wise to keep the Nikon camera files "DSC's"  after downloading them and converting to DNG files via Adobe converter for lightroom use. In other words do the DNG files have all the raw data I would ever need in processing or should I save the camera's DSC files?

DNG files do not contain some metadata supplied by the camera, which can be used by the manufacturer's software. Thus, if you don't keep the original Raw photo, you will lose this information.
If your 1000% sure you're never going to use the manufacturer's software, then this isn't a problem. But who can be sure what software you will be using 10 years from now?

  • Question about camera file generator

    Dear all,
I was trying to set up my camera with the frame grabber using camera file generator. My camera is a linescan camera, which is 1024x1 pixels.
My question is, in the camera file generator, I can choose to display maximum number of rows which could be any number I key in, for example, I can choose to display 1024x256 or 1024x800.So since my camera has only one line of pixels, where are all the other rows come from? How does it work?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi
When you create your icd file, the height value, will be the maximum number of lines you can accumulate.
So when you will use your camera with MAX or LabVIEW, you can specify an image height within 1 and this value.
I suggest to set this value pretty high (10000 lines for instance) so that you are free to request a big image in your application.

  • Custom batch rename files with Aperture 3 in the following format: IMG_0023.cr2 to Smith_YYMMDD_0023.cr2?  I cannot find a way to structure the date in Aperture as such, as well as extract only the camera file

Please advise how to custom batch rename files with Aperture 3 in the following format: IMG_0023.cr2 to Smith_120816_0023.cr2?  I cannot find a way to structure the date in Aperture as such (YYMMDD), as well as extract only the camera file (0023, for example).  Adobe Bridge CS5 can do this, but NONE of the Adobe software is retina optimized, and is terrible to look at.

In Aperture you are limited to renaming files by the entries in the File Naming preset window.
At what point are you looking to rename, import or export? It might be possible to do what you are looking to do external to Aperture either via a script or other software.

  • Should I modify the camera file to change the greyscale resolution of my Photonfocus camera from 8 to 12 bits?

I have some difficulties to use my Photonfocus camera with 12 bits greyscale resolution.
    I have a Photonfocus camera MV-D1024E-160-CL-12, a NI PCIe-1429 frame grabber, PFRemote 2.0 and Measurement & Automation Explorer 4.2.1.3001.
If I work with 8 bits greyscale resolution (PFRemote -> Data Output: Resolution : 8 bit) and look at the image with MAX (Système -> Périphériques et interfaces -> NI-IMAQ Devices -> img0: NI PCIe-1429 -> Channel 0: PhotonFocus MV-D1024-160 (file in attachment), everything is working.
Now I'd like to work with 12 bits and I don't know exactly what I have to change? I've tried to change only the resolution in PFRemote (PFRemote -> Data Output: Resolution : 12 bit) but then the image in MAX remains a 8 bit resolution. Then I've tried also to modify the camera file (file in attachment). I've put the "BitDepth" and the "BitsPerComponent" at 12 instead of 8 and the "BinaryThreshold" to (0,4095). But when trying to grab an image in MAX, an error occured: "Error 0xBFF600FE Le nombre de bits par pixel requis est invalide".
Should I really modify the camera file in order to grab 12 bits images? Or what should I do?
    Thank you

    PhotonFocus MV-D1024-160.txt ‏5 KB

    Hi toto26,
Thank you very much for the information. I did exactly the same thing as you suggested for 8-bit, and I were able to change the resolution (number of pixels), exposure time, frame rate without any problem. I understand that I need to coordinate the MAX icd file and the settings of PFRemote.
When I tried to switch to 12-bit, I found that I need the camera file (.icd) for 12-bit. I tried the attached icd in the previous discussion (Photonfocus MV-D1024E-160-CL-12 12-bit 1429 X4 only.zip 2 KB). There was an IMAX Error: Error 0xBFF6002C, FIFO overflow caused acquisition to halt. Then I think maybe this camera file is not good for me because I have a PCIe-1427, instead of a PCIe-1429.
So, I downloaded the camera file generator (from the same link you suggested) to create my own camera file. When I run the generator, the first window popped out was for camera setting, and there was no Photonfocus in the choice for the Manufacturer. Is it true that I cannot create camera files for Photonfocus camera, or I simply don't know how to use the generator?
Thanks again for the help and I look forward to more advices.

  • Native camera file size does not correspond to 8x10 or 11x14 prints, help

    Hi All,
If you could possibly provide me with some light room help.  I'm shooting with a Nikon D2H, and the files that are output from this camera are natively sized at 1632 x 2464.  So if I wanted to order an 8x10 print from my site, the photo would have to crop, same with 11x14, and so on. Those are standard sizes, and i would like the ability to purchase those size prints with out cropping photo.  Is there a way in light room to manipulate the original file before export, so that they could be ordered as 11x14 or 8x10 with out having to crop?
    Really appreciate any help,
    Joe

The aspect ratio is different on the camera files (2x3 aspect ratio) and the print sizes you listed. As noted, the way to get 8x10 or 11x14 prints of the entire image is to have different size borders around the image (wider borders on the long side than the short side). Here is a bit of info about aspect ratio that I use to help describe the situation: http://johncornicello.com/articles/aspectratio.html

  • In my aperture the camera file name does not show under the photo how do I get it to show

In my aperature dislay the camera file number does not show how do I get it to show

Where exactly is the filename missing? Aperture has plenty of places to display metadata.
You configure and enable the display of metadata by defining Metadata presets. One place todo this is the little baggage label icon below the browser:
Press the icon, enable the display of metadata overlays for Browser and Viewer, then press "Edit" to customize the display of the tags you want to be displayed.

  • Has anyone else found that Sony XAVC 4K files are flagged as camera files in Import?

Has anyone else found that Sony XAVC 4K files are flagged as camera files in Import?
It sems that because they are being seen as a camera it is not possible to leave them in place on import?
I have already backed up the camera files onto Thunderbolt drives and therefore I don't want them to be moved again!!
Can I force FCPX to see the Ext HDD as a volume not a Camera?
    Thank you
    Jules

    Hi Tom
    Thank you for your reply,
Surely all files originated from a camera? If I back them up to an external drive and clone them onto another drive for editing with FCPX, I don't expect them to be seen as camera files which FCPX then copies again just so that I can edit them. I just want to leave them in place, but FCPX doesn't give me that option.
It seems that FCPX has failed at the first hurdle. It is forcing me to have to buy extra storage just so that FCPX can copy them on import. Surely, if FCPX can handle them natively then why does it have to move them?

  • Can I use a PCI-1424 with a non-standard camera and build my own camera file?

I want to test a certain CCD which in non-standard and I want to setup the direct interface with it. My idea is to use a 1424 board and build the camera file.

Technically, you can build your own cable and ICD (configuration) file for your camera. It can be very difficult, though. If the CCD is fairly standard, NI might be willing to create a basic ICD file for you which you can modify to do what you want. The best way to figure out what can be done in an ICD file is to look at ICD files for other cameras.

  • PCIe-1433 not showing 16bit x 2 taps as option in camera file generator

Trouble getting 16bit by 2 taps camera to display 16 bits.  Instead, I get interleved columns of 16bits and 8bits, as if it is only doing 24bit.  Camera file generator seems to configure it all correctly, oddly, it uses tap 1 and tap 3 instead of tap 1 and tap 2.
I noticed PCIE-1433 documentation doesn't list 2 taps by 16bit as an option,
    http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/374001b.pdf
    yet NI public information
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/9B89C9FA43A6973A86257A62004658D5
states it can support 2 taps by 16 bit.  Chances I need to update IMAQ drivers?

    Hi dre99gsx,
This seems like it could be caused by using the wrong camera file.  I noticed you said that it's a two tap camera and it's using a different tap configuration than what is intended.  Have you tried creating the camera file manually using our Camera File Generator (http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/14207)?

  • Camera file generator timeout

Time out came up on Camera File Generator
    Hi
Recently I use Camera File Generator Version 2.1.1 to control a CamraLink camera through IMAQ PCI-1428. When I grab the image "Acquisition Timeout" message came up. I changed smaller image format, but it was still same. I succeed communication with this camera through another serial communication software. It seems camera works, but an image does not come up.
And one more thing, I just want to use a camera with default setting. I expect I do not need to send any serial command. Should I do some action ?
    Thanks lots,
    Kevin

    Hi Burrito,
Sorry for late respond, Now I got an image after changed the camera setting and setting on IMAX. I can see an image on  both of software. It seems camera was not recognized on IMAX. This was main reason. Thank you for your help.
    Best,

  • What Raw camera files are supported by Aperture Ver 3.6.  I have tried to file a list of compatible camera models, but as yet can't find one.

What Raw camera files are supported by Aperture Ver 3.6.  I have tried to file a list of compatible camera models, but as yet can't find one.  My OS is OS X Yosemite 10.10.1.  I have recently bought a Canon 7D MkII and have found Adobe Lightroom does not as yet support the 7D MkII.  So I though Aperture may support the 7D MkII because Yosemite 10.10.1 now does.

    Hi Folk,
I just found the answer to my question.  Yes it is supported with OS X Yosemite 10.10.1.  See the link below and the ***** Note at the bottom of the list.

    Question
Sinse Ive updated with Mavericks I've been having difficulties viewing raw camera files in Preview, memory usage is maxed out when trying to view my images.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions to fix this problem?
    Thanks

GarrettNZ wrote:... Has anyone else had this problem? ...
Not I.  All three of my OS X 10.9 Macs work fine.
GarrettNZ wrote:... Any suggestions to fix this problem?...
You may have had a bad download or install on your OS X 10.9 Upgrade.  Reinstall OS X Mavericks.
Immediately following the restart that completes the reinstall, use the Disk Utility in your Mac's Finder > Go Utilities folder to repair permissions.  Then check more than one RAW file in more than one user account to be certain your problem is not user specific.

    Hi,
Thanks for posting on our forum. The link that you gave is not telling us what camera you would like to use. Perhaps you could use the following software,

Remind first to check that there is no file already created there:
