Camera flash stays on all the time

I dropped my iphone and the camera is on all the time. I've turned the phone off and the light stays on.  I've also taken some pictures. Any help I would be indebted !!

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these steps in order until the issue is resolved.
Otherwise, Out of Warranty replacement from Apple for $149US.  Dropping it has most likely damaged the device.

  • N95 8GB camera light stay on all the time

I have had the N95 for 5 months and have been very pleased with it. I have now developed a problem with the camera light. not sure how or when it happened. Other than the fact the camera light stays on all the time, the only way to get the light off is to remove the battery...!!!
Is there a simple solution or does this need to be returned for repair

Hi I've been having this same problem this week! I'm going to wipe my phone and re-install the software update and see if that works, otherwise it's off to Vodaphone to be repaired
It's strange it's just suddenly started doing it, and it's been a while since I first installed the latest update, when it came out.

  • GPRS or Wifi stay connected all the time

I am in a big dilemma. A few days back the GPRS or Wi-Fi connection always connects on its own and stays connected for hours! It used to connect only when required (exchange or Push mail set to synchronize every 30 minutes). It used to connect, check mails and disconnects automatically. But now, it stays on all the time. I checked all my mail connections and they are all set to check mails every 30 minutes. I made sure there are no apps running in the background also.
I called Nokia care and their suggestion is to format the phone and try. But I have so many pics, videos and data that I do not want to format.
A better solution (than hard reset/format) is always welcome.
    Thanks.

Hi Pravin. Although it does not transfer any data, my concern was the connection always being active and battery life getting shortened. Anyways, the connection always being on according to me is a bug.
After I did the factory reset, I came to a conclusion that it was one of the emails that I had configured (5 email accounts + 1 exchange account) and one of the email accounts was hanging this.
It is much better now after a factory reset.

You can put it in standby via the settings.

  • Screen stays on all the time power savings set up

My imac's screen stays on all the time now once I upgraded snow leopard to 10.6.3 it has been doing this since I got the settings so that the screen turns off 3 minutes after inactivity but the screen never turns off now.
the only time the screen turns off is when front row is running.
    Any ideas?

That is a bit quick to turn off the display from inactivity but that would be a personal choice. I let mine run for at least 10 minutes before the Screen Saver activates and then another ten minutes before turning off the display.

  • Voicemail icon stays on all the time

My voicemail icon keeps showing there is 1 voicemail.  When I sign in to my voicemail, it is empty, but the icon and message that there is 1 voicemail stays on all the time.

    Samsung Galaxy SIII (SCH-1535), Android 4.1.3, Kernel3.0.31-1152558 (09/23/13)
    My solution was to:
    - Access the phone's Settings
    - Go to Application manager
    - Roll over to 'All' applications
    - Select the red Verizon Voicemail app
    - Clear Data
    - Back one menu to the green Verizon Phone app
    - Clear Data
    - Exit the Settings back to Home
    - Turn the phone completely off and back on again
The notification icon for me is gone. Finally.

  • HT4381 apple tv, does the light stay on all the time, or is there a way to turn off the apple tv when not in use?

the light on the apple tv stay on all the time? is there a way to turn it off or put it on stand by?

No, it doesn't need to stay on all the time. You can leave it on if you want, since it uses little power, or you can go into settings and select sleep. You can also use the remote to achieve this (hold the select button for 5 secs)

  • Hilarious!! After CS5 install Flash Player crashes all the time

    Hi,
maybe Steve Jobs is right. Mac Pro 10.6.3, 12 GB RAM, 3 GHz 8-cores, everything is running peachy.
I install CS5 Premium Design Trial, while installing asks me to quit Safari and Firefox. It install Flash Player 10.1.
Now Safari crashes ALL the time. Multiple sites, NYTimes, HuffPost, etc.etc.
I wonder why Adobe is doing everything possible to make SJ right.
De-install, back to old Flash, seems to work.

They probably packaged it before the latest release candidate was ready.
Anyway - it would be better to discuss that problem in a CS5 forum - is there one?

  • Flash player crashes all the time

    Hey there
I was interested in chatroulette.com so i visited the site, but when i am connecting to the site my browser crashes all the time. Firefox says something about doing illegal operations with shockwave flash and chrome says that the flash player is causing the browser to crash. I've uninstalld and installd the flash player like a dozen times but it still keeps crashing.
    Please, help me.
What do i need to do?

I am running Windows XP and as far as I know no service packs. My firewall is McAfee Firewall Plus. Etrust EZ antivirus is my antivirus program.
In my C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash folder there are 8 files:
    Flash10e.ocx
    flashplayer.xpt
    Flashutil10e
    install
    NPSWF32.dll
    NPSWF32_FlashUtil
    uninstall_activeX
    uninstall_plugin
I cannot find the addons pages but since Firefox tells me Flash operates illegal actions i think it is enabled. I prefer Firefox.

  • Apple TV stays on all the time? Gets really hot.

Should it just be left on all the time? Mine seems really hot. Is this safe?

Funny because when I do the same thing iTunes never looses the connection with AppleTV. Even with the light off, I can select AppleTV from the iTunes devices and manage the content. My experience has shown that AppleTV never sleeps or turns off.
correct. itunes still does detect it.
it appears the peoples definition of sleep differs somewhat.
i class "sleep" as being in a device in a state where it is using less power than it would when in normal use.
putting the appletv to "sleep" by holding power/pause for 5 seconds lowers the power consumption... so in my eyes this is "sleep".
the appletv certainly does "hibernate", but it does "sleep".
