Camera flash whites out pics

I have a white iPhone 4 and when I try to take a pic with flash on I end up with a white screen only. There are no protective layers on and this happens with case on or off too. Anyone know a solution for this please? thanks.

I noticed a similiar problem when i unboxed and went for a demo with the cam.. seems as if the LED is too close/bright and emits somewhat of a glare as opposed to a flash. Made me begin to look at my 12MP digital cam and a few other cams online and i noticed that most cameras are not built with the flash right on the lens.. Also does this at certain angles video recording with flash.. P.s. not a prob in dark setting.

  • Camera flash turning out orange images?

I use the flash to take pictures in low light settings and everything is perfect unless i take a picture of a person. The person looks orange and very zombielike actually. Is this a bug or is the flash just not white enough?

There is nothing wrong with your Dell, it will work fine with any MacbookPro. I have been using Dell displays for over 12 years with many different Mac models. I have two 21" Ultra Sharp displays working side by side to design a Keynote presentation right now.
    The issue your having is with the way Keynote  takes control of the video output to both displays, it sends the presentation signal to one and the presenter display to the other, this is set up in;
    Keynote preferences > Presenter display.
If you want to show a wesite or another app on  either display,  use application switcher:
press the the  command key on the keyboard, then the tab key; a row of applications will show what applications are running, choose which one you want to show. Use command  > tab to return to Keynote.

  • HELP!  I have a pic that has a camera flash right in the middle

    Hello,
I am using an old version of photoshop and need help getting rid of this camera flash that is right in the middle of my picture.
I don't think this will be easy, but any advice would be appreciated!

I assume this is a small part of a larger picture?
I'm afraid I'm not an expert at photo - retouching but that looks like a lens flare to me.
If I was trying to re-touch this it would take forever and I'm not sure I could ever make it invisible, perhaps someone else can and will post a solution.
Now what I would do is cover it up.
Put someone else at the critical point, add some flowers or decorations. Basically take it out of the image by hiding it.
    Good luck with it.

  • Camera case washes out camera flash

I like to use a flap case on my iphone to protect the front glass as well as the sides and back, but I can't find a phone case that doesn't cause the flash to turn the photo flat and grey.
When I take the same shot without a case, the flash works well but with the case on, the photos are useless.
I have tried to cut the lens/flash hole in the case bigger, but this didn't work.
Can anyone suggest a case with a front flap that also allows the camera flash to work without interference?

Same issue. Phone is 3 days old. The flash triggers prior to the lens on the camera. The result is black or nearly black pictures when there is low/no light

    2) The Camera takes a long time to take pictures and the pictures are often out of focus.

  • Query on Nokia 820 Camera/Flash

    Hi
I have a Nokia 820 - it is a great phone and I love it.  I have had it for the last 6 months but I noticed a couple of things lately.
When I use the camera and take a picture, sometimes the screen blacks out and you cannot take another picture without turning the phone off totally and then restart it.
Separately, I have installed a Flashlight app, and when I turn it on, it wont turn off.  So, the camera flash is freezing.
Has anyone experienced this issue or can give me any ideas on how to resolve it - I would appreciate it.
    Thanks
    Starr5

Remove the app so and see if all is ok.Id also suggest removing unwanted images from gallery if you have many there.
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Do you have any cover or similar on the phones backside? In that case, try to remove it and see if you get a better photo.
Please also note that if you take a picture to close to an object with a blank or white surface the flash may reflect back into the camera. Do you get the same picture quality with the flash if you take a photo from a longer distance or on another object?

  • Setting while balance for off camera flash

I have a Canon SX20 and an old Astor Light flash system, and when I use the flash white balance on the camera white photographs as pale yellow.  I'd like to do a custom white balance but can't figure out how to it with flash.  What are my options?  I'll try the AWB next to see how that works.

Not sure about the old flash system. I used to carry a collapsible white and grey card around , and I would sometimes remember to include it in some of my shots. It was a pain and now I just fix it in post in Lightroom. Find anything white in the photo and use the dropper tool to sample from it for custom WB. It may not be perfect but you can adjust a little, then sync that shot with all the others in the same spot.
You will have trouble if you are bouncing off a colored wall because it will pick up odd colors. Same with mixed light (flash + tungsten + fluorescent + sunlight, etc..).

  • Camera Flash ON- Won't turn off

I took kids out to the beach yesterday and had my phone in my holster and on my belt and totally forgot. It got a little wet and I took it off and put it aside. It stayed ON and I even received a call from it. When I hung up the phone after the call, the Camera Flash turned on and I am unable to turn it off. It is draining the battery.
The phone turns on completely fine, I can check my email, send and receive emails, phone calls and can text but the camera flash light remains ON. I have tried everything and have even turned the flash OFF but it is not working.
Has anyone else seen anything similar? I was reading up on posts and someone had a similar issue with BB Pearl and reinstalled the OS and it seemed to fix the issue.
    Please advise.

Dont think the phone has had moisture exposure- strip on battery is still white... thanks
The strip on the battery means nothing.
There is a square white 1/4" sticker inside the device, normally if you remove the battery you will see it. That is the actual device Liquid Damage Indicator... and STILL, high humidity (not full moisture or liquid) can cause the issues you're describing. Keeping the device powered on, loading a new OS, removing and inserting the battery, can possibly only further damage the device.
Moisture can come from laying a bathroom counter during a hot steamy bath or shower, in a gym locker, in a pair pants or shirt pocket while your sweaty during a run or workout, etc.
IF there is a remote possibility of anything like that, remove the battery, and place the device and the battery in a bag of dry white rice for 3-4 days.

  • When camera Flashes it looks bad

    Hi there,
I am trying to export a making off from a photo session and when the flash of the camera flashes it shows a lot of horizontal white lines and sometimes a green area.
What compressions settings should I use in Compressor to avoid this?
its an HDV video and I was exporting with DVD 90 best
    thanks
    Javier

The encoder in Compressor can only handle a certain range of pixel values when transcoding form one codec to another. Now you know what the limit is for your particular settings. You must remove the out of range pixels before you get to Compressor or you must learn how to use manual keyframes in Compressor to alter settings on the fly. Not recommended. but there is a thorough explanation in the manual.

    Hi
6 years is a decent life for a laptop & I assume its a very good laptop you have, otherwise it may not come through all these years,
Ok, I'll try helping you here to revive him,
I assume your laptop came with Windows Vista
What happens when you remove the battery & connect it directly to AC adapter, is it powering on?
Whats the age of battery - 6 years? - may be its  stopped working. Try another compatible battery if you've one, if it works a replacement of battery is warranted.
Try doing a hard reset first
    Is it coming back?
Still nothing is coming - then,
Troubleshoot by following the HP documents given below promptly:
HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does not Start (Windows 7, Vista, XP)
If you're able to boot after doing hard reset, troubleshoot by following this:
HP Notebook PCs - Troubleshooting Black Screen Displays with No Error Messages During Startup or Boo...
If nothing is coming after all these, & you want it back you may give a visit to local technician to sort out the issue,
    Or Contact HP.
