Camera freezing/not starting, "Multimedia" draining the battery, SD card and accelerometer faults

Hello.
Right now my Z1C is running on KitKat, but problems with my Xperia's software I'm about to describe are with it probably since Android 4.3. Don't know whether are they only in my device or even common.
1) Camera sometimes freezes while taking a shot. The photo is lost and I have to lock then unlock the device (with side button) and throw the Camera app away recent apps (available under the third softkey).
There were even 3 or 4 situations when I clicked the camera button and after 15 secs of seeing the black screen, phone stated that camera isn't accessible.
2) The multimedia process is constantly running in the background. It happens rather rarely, but for few days in a row and drains battery a lot. In example, while I'm now looking at the power manager -> battery use it says I'm running 13 hours on battery while there's only 73% left. 53% power has been eaten just by this Multimedia process! "Idling" has taken only 12% and the screen - only 10% while these 3 are the most power-consuming processes.
I've got a lot of music on the SD card, but it's been taken out for the whole night (these 13 hours till now). There are only few apps, few videos and more pics on the internal memory (both of the last taken with this device - I save it on the internal mem).
In my opinion it's not my SD card which is faulty if even without it the phone doesn't work properly. Yeah, I did the reboots; with SD card inside it's still in here.
3) SD card sometimes just "removes itself" and is found again in a second. Windows 7&8.1 have never had any troubles with it (even right now, after I've run default Windows app to check the card for any errors), whatever the filesystem has it had. Contact pins aren't worn out as this card has been mostly sitting in this phone.
4) Accelerometer won't work in [Sony's] Album and Chrome apps. It has been happening for a few days so far.
I've reset the device twice and flushed the caches 2 or 3 times so far. I've got this phone new in less than 2 months, have never installed any suspicious app nor modify anything, it has never had any contact with moisture, it has never fallen... I don't get it, it's going so wrong. I'm disappointed. Will Sony replace it with new one? Are these all soft bugs or why does this happen?

my hp V5060h video cam did not power on even the battery if fullcharge.......what is the problem?

Didn't you already post something similar:
Yesterday, I went and bought a refurbished 3rd-generation iPod touch, with a warranty for needed repairs in the future. When I went home after buying it, I plugged it into my computer to start charging. I plugged it in, and the battery in the iPod exploded, and now it won't power on period, even when it is plugged in or docked. I bought a warranty to go with the iPod because I figured that I was probably going to drop it, and then need it repaired. But Apple cannot even find the purchase record on file from where I bought the AppleCare warranty on it, so now I am stuck with what is now basically a paperweight. What should I do?
    iPod touch, iOS 4
And would this be the same iPod with the fried battery?

  • IPhone 3gs Battery Heating, iPhone does not start even after the battery replaced

    Hello
Last night my phone was plugged into the car charger and suddenly it went blank and turnned off itself. I Tried DFU'in it but nothing worked. I charged it but all it does is heats up. Today I replaced the battery and it sill wouldnt work. I cant turn it on at all!
Can some one please help me.
    URGENT!!
    Thanks

Extremely doubtful. Without being able to get the phone up and running, it's impossible to say for sure, but I'm guessing any data that was on the phone is long gone.
As for what could be the issue... at this stage, I'll have to go with an all encompassing "it's broke". You're probably going to either have to find a professional repair shop or just buy a new phone. Apple won't touch it at this stage since you opened it yourself.

  • Camera is not starting. It shows something in progress and boes back to the lock screen.

When I start the camera, it open the screen but does not open the shutter.
and goes into a screen indicating something in progress and then in few seconds - goes back to the locked screen.
    what could be the problem?
    regards
    Yogesh

Try resetting your phone: hold the on/off and home buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the off slider that appears first), then release.

  • Why can I not purchase apps with the App gift card and no credit card?

trying to purchase a free app, but it keep wanting me to add a credit card, which I will not do, and I have iTunes/App credit.

Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old

  • My 2008 Macbook froze (though iTunes kept playing), and wouldn't turn off, so I had to take the battery out to turn it off. However, it is not turning on. The battery was in condition of "needs to be replaced soon", but is there any way I can start it up?

Last night, I was listening to a podcast, and my Mac froze. The mouse would not work, and neither would any of the buttons, but the podcast continued to play as if nothing was wrong.  I tried to turn it off and on with the power button, but it did not respond.  I had to take out the battery and put it back in.
However, the Mac is no longer starting up. The battery was old, and needed to be replaced soon.  Because I have three important exams next week, and I have all of my notes on that device, I was wondering if there was a way to get the Macbook to work again, without taking the time to replace the battery? I've tried plugging it in, but it doesn't seem to charge.
    Thanks!

Does the unit not run on the charger alone? (take the battery out and plug it in.)
    Try an SMC Reset

  • My pic 3 has suddenly started draining the battery in only a few hours even when I am not using it. Might this mean something is running all the time? I recently downloaded Dropbox. How do I check? What do I do about it? Or is battery faulty? Tim

My ipad 3 has suddenly started draining battery in only a few hours. Even if not in use. Might this be because a programme is running in he background? I recently downloaded Dropbox. Might my photos still be downloading after a few days? How do I check? What do I do about it? Or might my battery be faulty? Thanks, Tim.

Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon.  The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad and charge overnight.  Admittedly the labeling is hard to read but, if you use a magnifier and squint your eyes, you'll see "Output 5.1V, 2.1A."  The symbol between volts and amps is the symbol for DC.  Do NOT use an iPhone charger.  Do NOT use an iPod charger.  Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear).  An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the exact procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem.  I am stating, however, that we don't yet know whether or not a battery problem exists.
    According to Apple:
    Use Your iPad Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge.

My iPhone 5 with 6.1.2 is draining the battery in 4 hours with little use. It has just started. Any suggestions? Any apps that are known to cause a problem? I recently loaded Fantastical and Cobook (since deleted).

  • I have a hung up app that will not update or delete that drains the battery. How do you fix this?

I chose to update a app. It says waiting under the apps icon but will not update. I click on it to pause the update but it still drains the battery. I try to delete the app but it won't let me. What can I do?

Try the power off. Press home button and the on/off button at the same time for a few seconds. Then slide the tab to power off.
Then press the on/off again after a few seconds. Once it powers on fully, tap and hold on the application to see if it will start wobbling with a x on the corner, if yes, delete it.
If no, wait for someone else to suggest a better idea.

  • My iPod was updating to iOS 6 and i shut it off during the update because it was taking too long and now my screen in baby blue i've tried to drain the battery but when i plugged it in to charge the blue screen came back on.I dont know what to do

My iPod was updating to iOS 6 and i shut it off during the update because it was taking too long and now my screen in baby blue i've tried to drain the battery but when i plugged it in to charge the blue screen came back on.I dont know what to do

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Because of low battery my iphone 5 got switched off and than its not starting by pressing the power button and in charge the white screen comes for 2 second and goes

Because of low battery my iphone 5 got switched off and than its not starting by pressing the power button or by keeping it on charge. While charging a white screen comes for 2 second and goes away. This process continues till the phone is on charge. Please suggest how can I start my phone.

    Hello Ritugor,
I would be concerned too if my iPhone was not powering on.  I found an article with steps you can take when you encounter an issue like this.  I recommend following the steps below:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

Delete and re-download the Dropbox app. You will have to sign in again and adjust app settings.

  • My iPad will not power down.  It automatically restarts and drains the battery because it is on all the time.

My IPad will not power down and stay off.  It powers down and then restarts after a few seconds.  Since it is on all of the time, it drains the battery between uses.

Then I think it is time to take to an Apple store to be checked. Make an appointment at your closest store. You can keep it plugged in to maintain the battery until you get it checked.

If you have Apple Care or your computer is still under warranty, give them a call and get a case number.  Otherwise, take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP.  Whichever is more convenient for you.
