Camera function - Shutter Sound

Is it possible to turn off the shutter sound in the camera function on my Blackberry Curve 8310 and if so how?

Nope, that is not an option within the native OS.
However, there is an application called BerryAnnoying which will do just that.

  • Gamer shutter sound never off. Help ?

I have this weird problem where my camera app shutter sound keeps going off even if I have it at the lowest volume and on vibrate. I don't know how to fix this.. It's not in the settings or is it just how it is? I have an iPhone 4 AT&T 32gb black.

Just like FaceTime is Illegal in Dubai, silent phone cameras are illegal in the US. Live with it and hope the religious police don't take issue with your FaceTime, cause they can get plenty nasty.

  • Silencing the shutter sound on camera

I was wondering if anybody can help me out in finding a way to silence the shutter sound when taking pictures. I was at church the other day and took a picture of my cousin on the platform and the shutter sound was REALLY loud! Thank you in advance for any and all help!

You're digging up five year old threads to post for something that's already been answered.

  • How can I turn off the camera shutter sound on an iPhone 6 bought in the U.S.?

I know some countries don't allow the camera shutter sound to be disabled, but I'm not sure if the U.S. is one of those countries. Is it? If not, can someone tell me how to disable it please?

Use the mute switch on the side of the phone above the volume buttons.

  • Shutter sound that camera makes when taking a picture sound like it's dying.

The shutter sound that my iphone 5s makes when I take a picture sounds like it's dying. Anyone else have this happen on their phone? This hasn't caused a problem with taking pictures but it sounds weird.

Unfortunately, your naivete about complex electronic devices has misled you into a common misconception that Problem A = Cause B = Painless, no-effort, Solution C.  It's all magic to you.
Virtually any problem can have a multitude of causes, if for no other reason that you have incompletely described the total state of the phone.  More broadly, your camera problem is being caused either by corrupted code and or settings, of unknown origin, or a hardware issue.  There is no way anyone determine psychicly.  The only way to find out is the standard troubleshooting steps developted by Apple, and described In the User Guide.
it's taking more than half a day to put a big bandage on the wound and hope it fixes it.
Nonsense.  1-2 hours tops for 2 restores.
This has been a problem with the phone since the day I bought it.  It can occur everyimte I use the camera app for a week then not happen as much for a couple months.  In the past year, I have restarted, reset restored, etc several times and I still have this problem
You oddly failed to mention any of that in your initial post, and instead endowed us with whining about your frustration level...  You didn't mention doing ANY of the troubleshooting steps you now describe.  Yet another example of entitlement trumping logic.
The bottom line:  Restore the phone as new (without restoring the backup), if you haven't done so already.  If that doesn't work, you need warranty replacement of the phone.

  • Camera shutter sound on when in mute (iphone 5)

Normally when the iphone is in mute it dosn't make any sound, but when I take a picture with my iphone 5 the camera shutter sound can still be heard. That's the only sound that is heard when on mute, no keyboard, no lock sound is heard, only the camera shutter.

Not all countries allow that feature to be muted.

  • Turning off the camera shutter sound

How do you turn off the shutter sound of the camera? Even in vibrate only sound profile the camera still makes the noise when taking pictures.

There is no option in the phone to turn off camera sound, you will need a 3rd party app to have that option. You can try peek-a-boo, its a free app.

  • How to get the camera shutter sound off on iphone 6?

Since iPhone 6, I can't get the camera shutter sound off by switching the silent button off.
There are no setting options available either?
I bought my phone in Japan. May be it is a local requirement.
Does any one know how to change this?

According to the following turning off the sound isn't possible in Japan. The ringer silent switch on the side does mute it on my iPhone 5s in the U.S.
On an iPhone 5, how do I turn off the camera shutter sound?

  • How to turn off camera shutter sound

how to turn off camera shutter sound on iphone5?

You're getting different answers because different countries have different rules. In some places Apple is allowed to turn off the camera sound when the device is put on mute. In others, because of privacy concerns, Apple is not allowed to do so. Whenther you can or not depends on where you are. If mute doesn;t do it for you, you probably cannot turn it off.

  • Shutter sound of my iphone4s camera still working even in silent mode. Why is it happen?

Even when i turn my iphone to silent mode, the shutter sound of the camera still working. Why is it happen?

Plug it into power, and hold down the home and the sleep/wake button for 30 seconds.
If this doesn't work chances are something is wrong with your iPhone, I'd suggest taking it to an Apple Retail store. www.apple.com/retail (You can change your country at the bottom of the page if need be, that's for the US)
Also, if you look in the headphone jack... or look into the bottom where the dock connector plugs in... and you see a red circle... You've set off the Liquid Contact Indicators in your iPhone by getting liquid in your unit. That would definately be a reason for your iPhone to not be working.

  • Any way to turn off SHUTTER SOUND on the iPhone 4 camera???

Is there any way possible to turn off the shutter sound on iPhone 4 without affecting the other sounds?

Turning the switch on the side to Silent works for me. However, there may be national laws involved. In some places it is required that cameras make a sound when a photo is taken. Your profile doesn't say where you are, but this might be an issue.

  • Silence the camera shutter sound in an E72

    Hi.
I'm using a software called YBrowser to snoop around my Nokia E72 file system.
I found out that the sound files for the camera shutter, auto-focus, etc. are located in the following path:
    z:/system/sounds/digital/relevant-sound-file-name.wav
So I proceed to create a silence wav file (of about 10 kb).
My ideia, simple enough, would be to replace the shutter sound file with this silence file and give it the same name, so as not to cause conflicts of any kind.
Although the YBrowswer allows me to snoop around the whole system files, it doesn't allow me paste new files, or even delete the 'CamcorderJavaCapture.wav' (which is the file I'd like to replce).
Any idea on how I could access the Z:/ volume of my phone and do this?
If not through the phone, maybe through a Terminal window and the E72 connected to my Mac via USB?
    Thanks.

Correct it is in protected region of phone so that you would need File Explorer with enhanced capabilities such as self-sign version of Y-Browser by Dr Jukka as per screenshot:
But I can access that screen through YBrowser, no question about that. I can snoop inside the folders and files. I just can't paste anything over, or change names, or delete files. I'll probably need some other kind of file browser to do it.
Anyway, as you say it, if it's a protected part of the phone, that explains why it's difficult to get there without the right tools.
I'm not really a hacker or anything, so I don't mind not getting into that in depth.
Best regards, and thanks for your help.

  • No camera shutter sound on first shot

I have an iPhone 6 plus 128gb silver. I noticed that there is no camera shutter sound that plays whenever I take pictures on the first shot but only happen if I havent used the camera for a while; say an hour or two.
I've turned the phone off/on and reset but still does the same thing.
    Abyine else having this issue?
I've also noticed that sometimes the text/ringtone doesn't play when I browse through text and ringtones.

I also had this issue. I may have fixed it, by going into Settings > General > Restrictions and turning the camera off and then back on.
