Camera has vertical white line

Just recently I was going to take a picture when I noticed that there was a vertical white line that went from the bottom to about 3/4 up the screen just off the center to the right.
There are no scratches or anything on the outside casing so my guess is that it is the camera itself. My recite says I am still under warranty however I don't have apple care.
What would be my best bet?

If no change after the standard troubleshooting steps which in order are power your iPhone off and on, an iPhone reset, restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup, and restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, if your iPhone remains under the standard one year warranty ,you can call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

When I turn on my iPod Touch 5th generation, half of the screen has vertical white lines and it is irresponsive to the touch... is there anyway this can be fixed because this is my third time in the last 4 months I have had problems with Apple.

The screen looks completely normal besides the vertical white lines on the right hand side of the screen, as the "slide to unlock" is lighting up and the time and date are changing, but the screen is unresponsive. Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem. Seems like a bad digitizer or connection or logic board.

Rear Camera has horizontal white line across screen

Hi, I was given a playbook for Christmas and I love it but it has developed a horizontal white line on the rear camera which makes the camera and video unusable. I have customized my Playbook so am reluctant to take it back to the shop. Is there anything I can do to fix this or do I just accept that I'm not going to be able to use the rear camera or video? Hope you can help as in every other way my Playbook is perfect. Thanks.

If a Playbook is to be sent for repair, especially with an RMA, it is important to back up data files by WiFi sharing as a desktop software backup may not work if the unit is replaced with a refurb or new unit.

EMF graphic format - vertical white lines on iPad4

Hi All,
I'm using Enhanced Meta File format to create graphics which are imported in to a Word document and printed to PDF with Acrobat 7.
On iPad4 - the end result has vertical white lines like those shown in the graphic below (hope the graphic appears...).
The vertical white lines do not appear on an iPad2.
Any assistance as to how/why the lines appear on the iPad4 and how to remove / prevent them would be greatly appreciated.

Make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar. Take the pictures of the display with you just in case the MBP does nor repeat this phenomenon.

Satellite M65-S9063 - Vertical white lines appearing down the screen!

Hi all - any ideas...
Model M65-S9063 Approximately 3 weeks ago a vertical white line appeared down the screen, it's around a mil thick.
Then yesterday a second one has appeared, slightly thinner this time. They're always there even after a reboot! It doesn't look as though any video is being displayed as they're always white. I was wondering graphics card perhaps? Or maybe the LCD itself?
Anyone seen this before??

You can simply determine the reason of this issue. Connect an external monitor the notebook and see what happens.
If you can notice the same error on the external screen, its a problem of the graphic card or display driver. If you dont have this issue on the external screen, you should go to an authorized service provider for exchanging the internal screen.
If you use a non Toshiba display driver you should remove it and test it with original Toshiba drivers.

     Hi Frank.
     I have just had jb Atlanta's problem while adjusting the contrast on a photo. I was creating a slideshow at the time. After a lot of reading up I was about to give up when I tried restoring the file to its original settings as you suggested. Bingo!
     However, that would only work for me, if I restored the settings while in the slideshow. All data had 'disappeared' when I attempted to open the photo in its original project folder.

My download of Guardians of the Galaxy has a white line at the bottom of the film.
This has also happened with some other rental films recently.

Vertical white lines along edges of still frames

I am using Premiere Elements 1.0 with Windows Vista in XP compatibility mode. I have inserted some still frames which are bitmaps with a black background. When I make a DVD the still frames have a vertical white line along one edge. Even when the bitmaps are resized so that they are bigger than the picture area the white lines remain. Does anybody know how I can get rid of the lines?

Try the flicker remover, right click on the clip and select Field Options/Flicker Removal - or something close to that ;) I hope that existed in version 1, don't remember for sure.
Sounds like your photos might be too large, are they much larger than 1000 x 750?

My macbookpro 15" screen has vertical blue lines

I have a Macbook Pro 15" (mid 2010) 2.53GHz Interl Core i5 running OSX Lion 10.7.4.
Generally the computer and screen are in good condition and have had no damage.
The screen has Vertical blue lines and there is a tint of blue generally. The startup apple grey screen however is perfect, it is only when it enters the login screen that the lines appear. All the colours are off. Other than these lines the computer works perfectly
The computer was used yesterday (09 June 2012) without a problem for approx 1hour. It was then left for the day indoors on a desk out of direct sunlight. The computer was switched on later that evening and the problem started to appear
I have already tried to reset the PRAM and SMC with no affect.
I also read that it may be a cable problem, however as the startup screen works perfectly i question this.
Please can you help!

I suggest you take it to an Apple store genius bar or a repair facility for evaluation. This is most likely a hardware problem.

Vertical white lines

All my imported clips show a multitude of vertical white lines. When I open the clips in Quicktime, there are no lines. Also, when I import the clips into a trial version of HD iMovie there are no white lines. Thanks.

If a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears does not help, it needs a visit to the Apple store genius bar for testing be the techs.

1. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together)
2. For about 10 seconds
3. Until you see the Apple logo (very important)

Vertical White Line on Screen

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 notebook computer. There is one vertical white line about 1/3 the way in on the screen. It goes from the top to the bottom and appears to be just about a pixel or two in width. I used to be able to tilt the laptop display to make it go away. Now it is permanent. It shows on BIOS too. Is there a way to make it go away? Super annoying. Of course, I am out of warranty. Thanks for any help/suggesions.
ps I read the links on the other kind of lines, green, colored, etc. this is just one thin white line.

I sent away my 1st Gen nano and got sent one of the 6th Gen ones. When recieved there are thin white lines around the icons and the screen doesnt not respond to touch. I have reset and reset and nothing has worked

Sounds like VoiceOver has been enabled. See this article for instructions on turning it off.

TV picture has a white line in the bottom and side

I connected the iTV to my TV via a DVI/HDMI converter. It is an older Pinoneer TV with only a old DVI jack. It plays fine but after a few minutes a very thin mostly white line appears at the bottom and side sometimes the top and side on the TV. If I turn it off and back on it goes away but only for a few minutes. Can I do anything to fix this?

I solved the problem last night. Since it took take a few minutes for the line to show up on the screen, we thought it might be the screen saver function on the TV. We turned off the TV picture rotation setting and it works perfectly now.
