Camera icon displays instead of Trash-Can upon selecting a message in the conversation and clicking on 'Copy/Speak/More...'
After restart, now it shows Trash-Can again.
Many were saying that you just needed to turn your phone off and turn it back on after upgrading to ios8.1, so that you could then delete single messages.
It worked when I did it the first time, but today while sending text messages the trash can disappeared while I was trying to delete some messages.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mail can't Select All messages in this Conversation
For years I have used Cmd-Shift-K in Mail to select all messages in the same conversation. This particularly useful, for example, when reading replies to posts in Apple discussions. When I select a message, all the messages with the same topic appear in light blue and Cmd-Shift-K (or View->Select->All Messages in this Conversation) allowed me to select them all.
Since upgrading to Yosemite, the visual cues on the messages are still there (I have the box to "Highlight messages with color when not grouped") but the command to select them is greyed out, and Cmd-Shift-K just beeps in error.
Are other people seeing this?Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

I have an iMac purchased in May 2011. OSX Lion 10.7.3. I deleted backup file from the external hard drive which operates from Time Machine.
Now, the trash can will not empty some of the files deleted from the backup harddrive.
The trash contains-- File folder: "Core Services" which contains a locked file: "boot.efi".
It will not delete.
How do I get the trash can empty of these files?Yes, the Old Master file has a folder for each year where I find all photos from that specific year. I am attaching a screen shot of the file.
In the meantime i have managed to download all photos (it did not download any video files though in mpg, avi, 3gp, m4v,mp4 and mov format) to a new iphoto library. Unfortunately the photos are quite mixed and often doubled up. I ma considering to purchase iphoto library which checks all duplicates in iphoto. this will save me a lot of time. What do you think? -
How can I select all messages in either my Inbox, Trash and /or Bin in one go to delete them all in one go. I currently have 3000+ unwanted messages in my Bin
Click on the inbox then Edit>Select All (if you are using Mail, if not you'll have to tell us which mail program you use) repeat in other mailboxes as needed.

I deleted some video's from iPhoto then from the trash can on iPhoto and then from the trash can on my desktop but the space has not freed up on my hard drive

My garageband can't be used because when I open a project (new or old) the program extends beyond the bottom of the display screen and I can't access what is below the bottom of the screen (like the record button). I know there's a simple fix, but what?
two things to try: either click the green "zoom" bottom at the topLeft of the window in the title bar, or go to your System Prefs and then Displays, and increase the resolution that is used

why i can't select my applet by the AID successed? but the applet has really been loaded into the card.
because i sent "Get Status" command, i can read the applet package id from the card,

The option is still there - hold down on said text - more - then hit the trash icon.

I can't see my messages in the Trash file.
The top 1/2 of my Trash file is totally blank--I can't see which message that I'm clicking on.
The information (From, Subject, Date) is there for each message--but it's blank. If I click on any part of the box, the associated message will show up on the bottom half of the page.
I tried signing off of Thunderbird and re-starting it. But that didn't work.

The only thing I couldn't figure out in your instructions was how to refresh the folder pane. If refresh means that I should select another folder (like Sent) and reselect Trash, I did so, but it didn't solve my problem.

Can't delete individual messages since the IOS8 upgrade.
Since the IOS8 upgrade, when trying to delete individual messages, the trash can no longer appears in the lower left corner. All that appears now is the camera and the area to write a message. I have reset all settings and rebooted multiple times. Initially after doing this the trash can will reappear. I delete some messages but then when I go back to delete more messages, the camera reappears. The only resolution I have found is to shut my phone down and restart it, but this is only a very temporary fix and is not ideal.
I have this issue also, it appears as though the Messages app is not detecting the context and switching to the right menu at the bottom. In addition, the other problems that show up when this happens are:
If you try to take a photo to send in a message, the camera app opens but the keyboard continues to cover the bottom of the screen (so you can't press the shutter button).
When you respond to an incoming message, the cursor doesn't automatically appear in the text box - you type characters, but they go nowhere. You have to actually tap once in the message box before typing.
When you tap send, even though the audio recording button isn't visible, as soon as your finger hits the screen the audio button pops up and a recording begins.
I would really like to go back to iOS 7. Even after 3 minor updates, iOS 8 is still very sloppy. Bad Apple! -
Can't send video messages from the Skype by mobile

i have nokia x2 mobile pone. i had installed skype in it. i can take vedio calls from skype using the camera. but i can't recode vedios to send vedio messages. when i start to recode vedio to send. application stops. sometimes entire skype application is stop. please help me to fix this problem.Ok. Trying to send a video message fro the desktop. Some contacts when chosen do not have this as an option, the ones that do, when I click on it, I get an error message that says:
"OOPS! Somrthing went wrong. Please tray again or get in touch." Trying again gets the same result, and I can find nowhere to "Get in touch" with skype.

Dashboard - blue cubes with question marks?
