Camera Is Pink and inverted??

Hi I have had my iPhone for like about 10 months and for about the last month every so often when i go to take a picture my camera sees everything in pink and it seems like it is inverted. it is hard to explain but it doesn't happen all of the time but it does happen. next time it happened i will get a pic of it and post it. but i was wondering if this is a known problem or should i bring it into an apple store.
Thanks,
Jeff

Here are a couple of articles from the apple support website that might help out.

You might need to reset and or restore the iphone to resolve any software issues.
Hope this helps.

  • Camera and video screen is all pink and will no longer take pictures/video

Please help. My iPhone 3Gs camera and video were working just fine until today. When I open the camera app, the shot opens up pink and begins flashing and will only take a picture or video of the pink it is displaying. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thank you so much to anyone who is able to help me.

Restart, Reset and Restore, in that order. If those actions do not work, you will need to take it in for service.

  • Screen turned pink and white and added a passcode by itself

In the morning I was using my iPad 3rd generation and left it in my bag for the rest of the day then I took it out, I switched it on, and it was all purplish pink and white. In the beginning, the touchscreen worked, even though I coudn't see what I was doing. Then there were tiny stripes where i could see but they were inverted colors! Later on, it added a passcode by itself since i saw through the stripes. I tried hitting it on the back and restarting it but it wouldn't work! By the way, I use an Apple Smart cover and my friend said it could've been from the manet. PLEASE HELP!!!

I just had mine replaced and it is betterr than the original.
    Holds the 3G signal better.
i bought one as soon as they came out, so there is probably a bit of a higher failure rate for the first models.
You are basically getting a new one and you have a year from the purchase to extend the warranty.
I would not give up my Ipad.
I look at laptops now and they seems like dinosaurs.

  • Having logic board and inverter replaced - will post results.

My MBP is afflicted with the CPU whine and the LCD whine, not to mention the "Moo". I solved the Airport not connecting automatically issue on my own.
Talked to Apple about the whines, they wanted me to take it to the local guys, which I was happy to do. I dropped it off this morning, going to pick it up after work.
They are ordering me a replacement logic board, and the inverter (at my request). I will keep my MBP until they come in and then they will swap the new parts in.
I'm guessing it won't be a short wait for the parts, but I will follow up in this thread detailing further results and noise levels.
Personally, I am very impressed with the local service response. They agreed to get the inverter at my request even after opening it up and finding the noise to all eb coming from the logic board.
I know it ***** to wait... but there is more to come. Any questions about my specific machine, etc; post and I will answer.

BrenM - Good luck with your MBP! I hope the replacement logic board and inverter resolve the issues.
As for me, my MBP has been at an Apple Authorized Service Provider in Oakville, Ontario for about a week and a half. They first ordered a replacement logic board, which came from California ... took 2 or 3 days. Unfortunately the replacement logic board did not resolve the high-pitched "whine" issue. The tech told me it is quieter, but not gone .... So on Monday he advised me that they are replacing the inverter, which is on order. They expect to receive it on Wednesday. To be honest, I don't think the inverter will address the high-pitched "whine", as I've been following this issue on here very closely. But it probably will resolve the buzz from the screen when adjusting the brightness, so that's good.
The ASP that I took my MBP to in Oakville has been great. They're really on the ball with it and I know they are doing the best they can. But what it really comes down to is ... if Apple doesn't have an issue to this high-pitched "whine", there's not much the ASP can do. I appreciate them replacing the logic board and inverter, but it's really Apple that needs to get their act in gear and resolve this once and for all. The MBP's have been out for what ... 5-6 weeks now? This has been a hot topic ever since people starting receiving their MBP's, and Apple needs to face the fact that people are not going to let this go until a solution is provided.
The ASP told me that if after replacing the inverter it is still not resolved, I'll need to put up with it until Apple resolves the issue, as there's nothing else they can do. I asked him - what if it takes Apple 2-3 months to resolve the issue? He said I can bring it right back in to have it fixed. So that's good.
The other thing I was considering is when I get my MBP back, to contact Customer Relations and put up a fuss to receive a replacement. But ... then the replacement will probably have the high-pitched "whine". I don't know what to do at this point. It sort of bothers me that my $3000 MBP is no longer pristine, as it has been serviced and received replacement parts ... what do you guys think? Should i be firm with customer relations and (politely) demand a repacement?

  • Apple Digital AV Adapter mirror is pink and dull.

Using the Apple Digital AV Adapter. iPad 2 - HDMI on a Samsung LN-T2642H and the picture is pink and dull. Both screen mirroring and video out is pink and dull. If I connect my iPhone 4 or my iPod Touch and use the adapter for video out the picture is fine however. Mmm, I'm stumped. Any ideas?

Problem may have been fixed for me by flashing to the August 2010 firmware for my TV.  Originally had firmware from 2009 - the year I bought the TV.

  • Screen tinted in pink and turns blank. LiveKernelEvent 1033

    Here's what the problem is:
    1. The screen suddenly tinted in pink and turns black after 4-10 seconds. So I have to perform hard reset to reboot.
    2. Nothing could be seen on the screen when I reboot but it would show up in external monitor, but there are vertical blue dotted lines on the screen and Windows would fail to start. It won't even get to the log in screen.
    3. Rebooting again (using hard-reset) would bring me to Thinkvantage Rescue and Recovery startup repair and I can only fix the problem by restoring the system.
    4. Then, Windows would be able to start like normal but the problem will occur again after 5-10 hours. Or else the screen will not turn on after I sleep or hibernate so I have to repeat step 2 and 3.
Today I performed a full restore using ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery so the system has it's factory settings. Everything looks OK so it gives me a relief that was temporary. The problem will always occur again if I try to update the score in Windows Experience Index. After the screen flashing during the rating update, the screen suddenly tinted in pink or green and then blank so I have to repeat step 2,3 and 4.
Every video components passes when I tested the video card using PC Doctor 5. Sometimes after I restore the system, there is a message in Windows which sounds something like this: "Windows succesfully recovered from display adapter problem". I thought changing the display driver will fix the problem, but it will happen no matter what driver I used. I tried the newest driver that was released in 2009 (http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-67890.html), the older one released in 2008 and also the default factory driver released in 2007.Everything won't seem to work.

Thanks for the reply. It is possible that the CCFL backlight or inverter board can stop working when I do certain things? (such as updating my rating in Windows Experience Index).
Besides, the problem happens to both laptop monitor and external monitor. The only time that only the external monitor shows something but the laptop monitor does not is when I reboot the computer (in step 2). After I restored the system, both monitors work as normal until the problem randomly happen again.
    Here's some more info:
-The problem won't happen in safe mode
    - I updated ALL the drivers to the most recent ones but it doesn't work

  • My iphone 5 camera went black and flashlight off also, anyone deal with the same problems?

Another stupid thing, there are so many apple authorized reseller here who offer applecare but again applecare doesn't work in my country. Apple hasn't put my country on the applecare service list. Not even my provider can help repairing my iphone 5 camera. So what's my guarantee thing for? really?
Since i got my iphone 5 for two months, the camera started indicate some problems. It starts with blinking screen, it turn pink and flickering then freeze. It was still on iOS 7, so i thought by updating will help solving the bugs problem. I have restore it too, nothing really works. Now my camera just a total pitchblack screen that i cant operate anymore and even my flashlight stop functioned too now...

My phone worked for a maximum of 5 minutes, before lsoing signal. Disabled LTE and it works perfectly. Spoke to some Samsung mates and they had the same problem.

  • Late 2008 MacBook Pro 17" frozen with pink and green pixels

    Hi all,
Hope someone can point me in the right direction with my Macbook Pro problem. I have a late 2008 version of the 17" MacBook Pro. I've been using it today and it's been completely fine. that was up until I was uploading my recent holiday photos to iPhoto. I left it to upload and came to check on it after 5 minutes. I found the program had frozen and pink and green pixels were spotted all over the screen.
I turned the laptop off by the power button. When I started her up again I found the white screen with the pink and green pixels everywhere and apple logo appear. It starting booting and then just stopped. the screen froze and nothing was working. I've tried booting up in safe mode and again it just freezes.
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated as I'm lost without my computer. I've included a photo I've taken if the frozen screen.
    Many Thanks,
    Dean.

According to MacBook Pro (Early 2008 and Late 2008) - Technical Specifications you have a model with
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics processor with dual-link DVI support and 512MB of GDDR3 memory
Dual display and video mirroring: Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 2560 by 1600 pixels on an external display, both at millions of colors
    DVI output port
VGA output using included DVI to VGA adapter
    Built-in iSight camera
The 8600M GT has several recalls for GPUs, which had a 4-year free repair from date of purchase. It may be too late in your case. You can find the recall notices via internet search if you want to.
You should run the AHT -Using Apple Hardware Test

  • Adobe Bridge in Photoshop - How to install Bridge and camera raw? And what is it all about?

Hi everyone! I am actually in love with this adobe photoshop. I used PSCS2 before, but later on upgraded to CS4. But I feel tired in upgrading to CS5.
One time, I found a tutorial in youtube about camera raw, and would really want to use it. But I was wondering how to install the camera raw. I believe camera raw is a plugin? so I downloaded the plugin here, installed it in my PS. I downloaded a file Camera Raw.8bi and paste it on my C drive - C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS4\Plug-ins\File Formats.
I now am very confused, how will I open it? I do not have adobe bridge!  After I installed the camera raw, I opened my PS. I clicked the file>then browse in bridge. I had an error, it's "error 2 photoshop11 undefined". Which is what I thought, I might have done something wrong with installing it.
My question is, do you still need adobe bridge installed in order to use camera raw?
If yes, how does it work? How am I suppose to open camera raw?
If no, how am I going to open camera raw without bridge?
And also, where will I download adobe bridge? I cannot find one here for CS4, only adobe bridge for CS5. I am wondering, is it okay to install adobe bridge CS5 and use it with my PS CS4?
    I badly need help!

WebDAV (Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning) is a set of extensions to HTTP/1.1.
The main difference from FTP as far as I can see is that it allows you to edit documents on a remote web server.
WebDAV was used by the Apple server - MobileMe but is not generally supported by hosting services.
Using WebDAV you can mount a directory locally. This was how iDisk worked on your Mac and you could drag files onto it to upload them to the remote directory.
With WebDAV, a number of users can share a directory which is why its used in local networks but presents security problems when using a remote server.
If you are into file sharing rather than publishing, Dropbox or its new rival SugarSync are more appropriate.

  • The voice that was on when I first set up my ipad came back on and now I have to double click to get into my apps and can't use my apps because her voice is always talking.  How do I make her voice go away and my IPAD work like it should.

The voice that was on when I first set up my ipad came back on and now I have to double click to get into my apps and can't use my apps because her voice is talking.  How do I make the voice stop and my IPAD work again.

If you've turned VoiceOver on then see if triple-clicking the home button turns it off, and then change what Settings > General > Accessibility > Triple-Click Home is set to.
Otherwise, via 'the touch to select double-tap to activate' process you need to go into Settings > General > Accessibility > VoiceOver and turn it off
The manual (http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipad) also says that you should be able to switch voice-over off by connecting to your computer's iTunes :
Turn VoiceOver on or off in iTunes: Select iPad in the iTunes sidebar. In the Options section of the Summary pane, click Configure Universal Access. Select VoiceOver, then click OK.
So select Configure Universal Access at the bottom of the Summary tab and set Seeing to Neither

  • Camera just up and stopped working with flash player. SUUUUPER annoying. Any ideas?

    Hi:
Windows XP SP3 32bit, latest updates applied
    Firefox 3.6.6 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET4.0E))
    IE 8.0.6001.18702
    Flash Player 10,1,53,64
HP EliteBook 8530w with built-in HP camera (brand spankin' new).
So Flash Player today decided it doesn't want to work with my webcam. I have pulled my hair out trying to figure out what the problem is. The camera works fine with other video camera software, such as Adobe Flash Live Encoder 3.1, for example, or the various Microsoft cam tools. But Flash Player just won't see it. When I visit a website that uses the camera through flash, all I get is a black box. I never get the privacy screen that asks me if I would like to allow the site temporary access to my camera. If i go into my settings, and go to the camera tab, it shows my camera device in the dropdown box. But you know how if you double-click the little box under the dropdown, it should activate your camera and display a little video inside that box? That doesn't work for me. All I get is this:
It doesn't matter if I use FF or IE. I've re-installed Flash Player, both the FF version and the Ax version. To no avail. I've logged into my computer as a different user, because hell maybe it's some weird dumb thing in the Flash Player cache or something. Nope.
Now here's the super, super, super annoying part: I just recently moved to this laptop and one of the things I was looking forward to was a computer where my webcam would FINALLY work with flash player again. Yes, that's right: my old computer had this exact same problem. And in both cases, at one point the camera worked with Flash player no problem, and then at some point, it just stopped working.
This makes me think, of course, that the problem is some nefarious piece of software I've installed, but I can't think of what that is. I know the camera was working with my new computer as early as last week. Recently I've installed a bunch of software, including Adobe Media Live Encoder 3.1, Flash Professional CS5, and the Adobe Connect add-in. I've uninstalled everything except CS5, because, hey, who wants to re-install that if they don't have to? I'll do that as a last result, but the guy sitting next to me has the entire CS5 suite installed and camera works fine for him with Flash Player (same exact hardware too), so I don't think it's that. Other than that, I dunno. I've got VS2008 and 2010 installed. GoToMeeting. Office. That's about it.
So. Any ideas? Any thoughts on how I could even start to debug the issue? Logging or something? Any help is much appreciated.

    Yes.
    Victory is mine.
    VICTORY IS MINE!!!
    Solution:
    Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg
    Set
    AVHardwareDisable=1
    to:
    AVHardwareDisable=0
Restart your browser. Done. Camera works now.
I really want to shout this solution from the rooftops, because try Googling the solution sometime. I did. I failed. You will too. Hopefully if I use some more 18-point bold font, Google will index it faster, because that's the way it works right?
I actually had no idea that Flash Player has a folder in Windows\system32 at all, and I definitely had no idea that this file existed. I am guessing some stinking app I installed decided I needed AVHardwareDisable set to 1 for some reason (effers). I found out about the location by just lazily searching through the windows registry for "Flash Player" and eventually saw it pointing to that directory. A little more poking around and I found this file.
Those of you who actively support this forum: please keep this in the back of your mind, next time someone has audio/video input problems with Flash Player. I've found an awful lot of forum posts from people with cameras not working, and I bet a good portion of them need this fix. Reinstalling Flash Player will not fix it. Here's hoping the solution comes up in Google for the next unlucky soul.

  • My iPod touch screen went fuzzy with pink and white stripes

Hello! I really appreciate if anyone would tell me what's wrong with my iPod touch.
I have been using my iPod touch for less than a year, and honestly, I have quite a bad habit: I always use it for playing games. And sometimes, I even use it while it is charging. Usually it's fine, nothing went wrong, so I keep doing the same thing sometimes.
one day, I'm visiting my relative and tried to charge my iPod. Since my iPod doesn't have an adaptor, I usually charge it using my laptop (the seller told me to charge it in a laptop/computer). One day, I borrowed my cousin's laptop to charge my iPod, but she only gave me an adaptor (not made for iPod or any apple products, but it fits so I thought it's okay). But the next day, I found out that my iPod went off by itself and I know that my battery isn't low.
I Tried to charge it using my laptop at home, but it still went off! Also, it went normal in my laptop (the iTunes appeared automatically, as a sign that my iPod is charging). So, I tried to restore it and I worked (at least I thought so), until I saw my screen went fuzzy (pink and white stripes). So, almost everyday I turn off my iPod, turn it on again, wait for a while, then use it normally. Usually it lasts 'normal' for hours, but it will still be error as usual.
    So, my question is:
What makes my iPod touch screen went fuzzy?
Is it because I used it while charging?
Is it because I charged it with an adaptor that is not made for Apple products?
please help me, I don't know what else to do! I have restored it, I didn't download many applications like I used to before, and I left it alone when I was charging (I didn't play it while it's charging any more), and I even didn't turn on the Wi-Fi if I'm not using it (I almost NEVER turn off the Wi-Fi before my iPod touch went error)
    Thank you for answering..
